I got up early and prepared for the estimate. 11:30 am rolled around and no one came so I called the company. It was a cluster. So, I cancelled the current appoint and the next appointment the following day. Wow! can you imagine needing gas in the heart of winter and freezing to death while waiting for the truck to come? The only thing you could do to survive is start burning the furniture, hook up the barbeque pit or not use Long Energy in the first place. I will go with the last option. After serving 22 years in the Marines, I would say that I am disgusted by this company and their lack of ethics and pride in serving their community. They came and estimated putting in gas lines and tanks and gave me a price. Then the bill came and it was way over the price they gave me. The excuse was that the person who gave me the price was no longer working for them. I don't care about that. They gave me a price and they should honor it. That wasn't the end of their dirty little deeds. They told me that my 1st fill up was at 1.39 a gallon and that from then on it was 2.59. So I get my bill and its 2.79. They said that I was not on a fixed price and that I was on a 3 year contract and subject to market prices. In effect telling me tough. Well the market price in my area today is 2.55. That's 24 cents over market price. Would you do that to family? I think not. So now I have to contact my lawyer and assess my options. Don't let them trick you into a shady deal. Go elsewhere. Everyone is cheaper for oil or propane.
