I saw that almost every review was 5 stars. There was one person who gave them a 1 star and I know after being in business for over 30 years there is always that one person. So I called ahead to see if there was anything special that I needed to bring with me. The lady on the phone was very helpful. She said that when I got to the location they would set me up. When I arrived it was busy. The young lady working there was working with one customer filling his tanks and another was just ahead of me. When it was my turn she walked me through what I would need (new adaptors so I could use my RV's current hook ups and regulator). She was very helpful and pleasant. She kept everyone in order and was on top of it. I told her that I pick this place because of the reviews and she said that she was proud of doing a good job. She also mentioned the negative review that was posted and said the guy never came to her location. He mentioned the receptionist as being rude and there is no receptionist on sight. Just her and the 2 awesome dogs in the office. Anyway I had an amazing first experience at Affordable Propane from the first call to getting my 2 tanks filled. The price was 1/2 of what I would hav3e paid at the other locations I called. So although the reviews were better I also came for the price as well. It was a win win and I will be back.

I called the Uhaul customer service line because I do not have time to call each location to see…read morewhich location has the pieces to install a hitch and also be able to do the correct wiring harness. The customer service lady gave me the Uhaul on the opposite side of town that had the correct pieces and could install the same day. Well I get over there to find out that they do have the correct pieces but the installation guy is out sick and the owner Dala does not know when he will return to reschedule. So I bought the pieces. At least I had the pieces and she nicely loaded them up for to me to take home. Ultimately, I feel like I should of been angry because services were not rendered. However the way the owner treated me and explained the situation truthfully being Memorial Day weekend to wreck my plans because her guy wanted an extra day off is really unacceptable. But Dala was exceptional giving me other options that another location can put it on for me. I'm going to go ahead and give Dala and this location 5 stars because at no time did she ever give me attitude or a problem. She had apologized and it is was it is. Thank goodness I did find another location to put it on but at least this location provided half of the project. I would still go back there to rent a truck or buy any type of moving necessities.

I have mostly dropped rental vehicles at this location. This past visit, though, I picked one up…read morefor day use. Note that this is an "electronic pickup only" location, which means that you should have a reservation and have your smart phone with you. I was advised by the staff to use the website instead of the app since it is much more reliable for getting checked in and access to your vehicle. The vehicle I received was in good working order and had a full tank of gas. The only issue was that the driver's side sun visor would lower itself whenever I hit any bumps in the road, so I was having to put it up periodically. Checking in is also done remotely, but when I returned the vehicle, it was still during business hours and the staff said they'd take care of it for me, which saved me a lot of time taking photos and going through the usual "online" process. I had to wait for my ride and the staff checked on me a couple of times to make sure that I was OK. (Apparently, bad traffic and nearly running out of gas caused my ride to be delayed a bit.) While not this location's fault per se, I find that the whole U-Haul system is rather inefficient. I have an account with them and have uploaded all of my documentation in addition to renting trucks many times over the past 4 years. So, WHY do I need to take a selfie and upload copies of my license EVERY TIME I rent a truck... at the time of rental? That cuts into your rental time unless you know that and arrive half an hour early to get all of that taken care of (my cell service at this location was incredibly slow and the tools use a geofence, so you can't do everything until you're onsite.) At this point, I feel like I am a known customer and have had enough successful rentals that the non-expired license I uploaded into my u-haul account should be sufficient. Maybe there are some laws that I am not aware of, but it annoys me each time.

I have had the worst experiences with Wardle's and just want to warn others…read more In June 2024, as a brand new chicken owners, I bought 3 Rhode Island Red hens from them. I was not able to go into the coop with the sales associate so he just went in, grabbed whatever three hens he could get and put them in my carrier. When I got home and took them out, I noticed one could barely walk. I tried to give her some rescue 911 electrolytes in her water and access to food thinking maybe getting scooped up and put in a box and then being in a car for 15 minutes was a stress on her nervous system and she just needed some time to acclimate. I called Wardle's to tell them what happened and asked if I could switch her for another hen. The manager told me no because she could be sick... even though that meant they had just sold me a sick chicken. She struggled for weeks. We had to keep her in a separate coop and spent countless dollars on a ton of different supplements trying to figure out what was wrong with her and to keep her alive. Finally we tried Vitamin B12 and after a few days of it in her water, she able to walk normally. Although she was always a pretty sickly chicken and not even a year later we found her dead in the coop one morning (no sign of attack or any injuries). Fast forward to September of 2025. We wanted to get a few chicks to raise and integrate with our flock. Against my better judgement, we went back to Wardle's to get chicks. They only had 4 week olds and again, we weren't allowed in the room where the brooders were to pick the ones we wanted so we just told the associate how many and which breeds. We got 3 gold laced Wyandottes, a Rhode Island Red and a Barred Rock. I looked in the box and noticed one of the hens had a pretty big comb. I asked if that was normal because we definitely didn't want a rooster. They assured me it was a hen. 3 months later, our "hen" has started crowing. We can't have roosters in Lakewood so now we have to find someone to take him or cull him. It breaks my heart. Of note, since then we have ordered chicks from McMurray and Meyer's Hatchery and had really healthy, beautiful, hens. Not a single rooster. I would highly recommend ordering from a hatchery over buying any chickens from Wardle's!

Out of 20 chicks over the years we've never had a rooster. Love this spot
