It's a small, convenient spot located next to the subway, near the NRW Coney Island subway stations, so I really can't complain. It's just a small, contained area. Never seen a more rude sandwich maker in my life. Been going to this subways for over 15 years and this guy was legit horrible. I used a $6.99 promo and got there within 3 min and he said minimum time to get the sandwich is 15 min from order to pick up. I said no problem and took a seat and when I asked for extra jalapeños he said "since you used promotion, everything comes as is". I can see why this subway always had bad reviews but never cared since I live right next to it but that guy honestly sucks. New to the area I took a long walk and ended up here. I feel like Subway is the safe and affordable choice and felt even better when the women inside were super pleasant. Talking to my teen the other day you kind of expect this attitude when you go into certain places but I disagree. I came with just lunch on my mind and entered into a nice conversation about the neighborhood and another gentleman joined in. The women were talking about how the neighborhood had changed and what Subways has to offer to the community. It was like the good the bad and the ugly as were reviewed where not to eat and what was safe in the new place that I will be. I appreciate what they said, the advice they gave and the commitment to the community thru food. That was really awe inspiring. I will of course be lunching here often. It was clean, efficient, regular menu but no coffee. But Dunkin is right next door. Parking seems complicated but the train is upstairs 5/5 I recommend. read more

I have to say of all the subways around the area this is the cleanest one. The customer support is great. I've dined in before and had delivery from them. They have kept the place great during covid19. Some subways like the ones in QBs unfortunately didn't keep up its standards. Their condiments are all freshed. They handle all the products with care. I never sit wondering if I am eating a dropped pickle or an old piece of lettuce. They never burn my sandwich or over toast it. I greatly appreciate how nice this location is. I've never had an issue here. I love Subway sandwich shops. Yes, the locations differ and the staff and experience can differ as well. Luckily, i have never had an issue here. I have not encountered anyone having full blown conversation with their relatives in Sri Lanka giving the play-by-play on their life in NYC trying to achieve the American dream. I've been to those subway locations and it is always a downer. I don't understand why they do that. Stay focused on the work. Now that every wireless carrier offers unlimited mins, people sure do take advantage, huh? However, when i come in here, it is always the same guy that helps me out and he is so friendly and never an issue. It is generally relatively quiet every time i am here. I'll stop by if i am at the cinemas across the street catching a movie. Food always taste fresh and feels refreshing. So glad to get some veggies in my system instead of all that deep fried food served everywhere else. They have made no changes as a result of the pandemic. The man who was serving me charged me for a 7.99 meal deal which comes with a sandwhich that includes chicken breast, roast beef, or turkey. There's also a meal deal for 6.99 that is made with deli meats. Along with a drink and chips. So i told him i wanted chicken breast, he proceeded to give me an italian sub. Then he asked me if i wanted soup or a drink and chips, i said a drink and chips and he asked me if i wanted a cookie. What is the correlation??? I've been to plenty of Subways and many of them skimp on certain if not all ingredients. This location is no exception. I came here last night and used my T-Mobile coupon for a 6" oven roasted chicken breast. The guy looked at my phone and told me I could use it, but when I started ordering he told me I could only get 3 vegetables. Okay, fine, I'm not going to make a big deal about this even though the coupon did NOT say anything about ingredient restrictions. So I got provolone cheese with lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers. Here's the thing, though. He puts like 10 pieces of lettuce and 2 slices of cucumber on the sandwich. First you're limiting my order without any basis, and then you're giving me only a tiny amount? How much does lettuce cost?! So I ask for more of each ingredient, and he repeats the process and adds another fingerfull of lettuce. I walked away because I had already gotten dinner and this was just a free 6", but still, these people are unbelievably cheap. I don't know if it's the company culture (since this isn't the first cheap Subway restaurant I've come across), but man... Not coming back to this garbage location. read more

I actually walk over to this area to buy a sandwich from this location. All the workers and owner are friendly and really provide good service. Other Subway locations should take notes from this place on service and friendliness. Just how bad does a Subway fast food restaurant have to be to warrant a negative review on Yelp? The answer is really, really bad. I have had Subway more than maybe other fast food restaurant in my life; I could name all of the vegetable toppings by heart. I even worked there one summer during college, so I know what a good Subway sandwich should be like. I also know that the number 1 rule for Subway workers is whenever possible, don't skimp on the vegetables. At 10 PM last night, I stopped by this location. I had just gotten out of a test prep class, having not eaten dinner yet, and there wasn't a whole lot else to choose from. I figured that Subway is always a pretty reliable meal - no matter where you go, you know exactly what to expect, down to every last bite. I had never been to this particular location before, but like I said, no matter where you go, a Subway sandwich is the same everywhere. I ordered a foot long tuna on whole wheat bread, which I've had more times than I can count. The first red flag for me came when the man working there scooped my tuna without first asking me if I wanted the bread toasted (which every employee is required to ask) or if I wanted cheese; he just scooped the tuna and moved right along. I try to eat healthy, so I was fine with no cheese, but I needed my vegetables. The whole reason you come to subway in the first place is to have a healthy sandwich - their slogan is "Eat Fresh" - and so I always like to overdo it on the veggies. I asked for lettuce - and like I said, I've ordered these sandwiches hundreds of times (and prepared them myself), so I could tell you to the centimeter the exact surface area of lettuce that should be covering a 12 inch sub. This man literally dug into the container with the tips of his fingers, and pulled out about eight anemic strands of lettuce, sprinkling them onto my 12 inch sandwich. I was completely baffled by his level of stinginess. Now I understand that some locations are stingier than others when it comes to allotment of vegetables. Maybe the store ownership is particularly vigilant about olive portions, or maybe the manager watches with a keen eye. But it was 10 PM at night, and there was literally no one there except him and I; there was no reason to be THAT stingy. I politely asked him for some more lettuce. He picks up a couple more anemic strands and puts them on there. I didn't want to be a pain in the ass at that point, so I let it go, but I was pissed. I asked him for olives, and again - he hand-picks three olives and spreads them onto the sub. I asked for more olives. Two more. A more assertive, confrontation man would have probably stuck both hands on the glass display case and demanded that he stick his hand into the container all the way to the bottom and scoop a handful of olives onto the sandwich. I just moved on. Sweet peppers? Green peppers? Pickles? All the same. When you look down at a subway sandwich, you're supposed to see a layer of vegetables, with your meat underneath. I looked down at my tuna hero right before he wrapped it, and saw nothing but tuna and a couple of vegetables. A good Subway sandwich isn't supposed to be able to close without a few rogue peppers or olives falling out onto the wax paper. This sandwich flipped shut as if it there was nothing on it. For the first time in my life, I was utterly disgusted by Subway. I was fuming inside, and debating walking out without buying the sandwich. This man's attitude problem, I could get past. But the stinginess with the vegetables was too much. What the heck man? How much could a handful of lettuce cost? Surely less than the $9.00 I was paying for that disgrace of a sandwich. Unfortunately, my stomach was grumbling, and I would have eaten just about anything at that point, so I took my sandwich and left. Bite for bite, it was the most bland sub I've ever had. I could hardly taste the vegetables - nothing but tuna and bread in every bite. Hands-down my worst Subway experience. read more

Came here after realizing that the SYEP office in LaGuardia Community College is on lunch break. The buffets around here are all based on weight, so I came here. This place is small. I ordered their $6 sub of the day, a drink, and three cookies. The food is served on a bowl. By the time I was about to leave, there are two women bringing their children for lunch. Okay so I've been going to this subway quite a bit since I live very close to it. Honestly it's probably the worst subway I've been to.. And here's why The owner or manager, never seems to care about his customers. I've never even seen him smile. But that has nothing to do with the food.. Here's the food.. THEY USE OLD PRODUCT! That's so gross I'm surprised I haven't got food poisoning. Good old preservatives though! I once walked by and saw an employee making themselves a sandwich and didn't even use gloves. Does the job of late-night eating as this place closes at midnight, which works for me cause often I come home late from work tired, and too lazy to cook. It's clean, the staff is never dillydallying behind the counter, and they have a cash register that dispenses your coin change down a mini-slide for easy retrieval :) This no-nonsense place is the perfect place for a meal on the go, especially since it's only 10 walking steps away from the 36th Ave. subway stop! read more

The Italian herbs and cheese bread was INSANELY fresh which was really pleasing and is definitely not what I was expecting. Every other Subway I've been to has given me stale ass bread. Visited this Measlyway location recently and it wouldn't have been too bad if the place wasn't so greedy. I get to wondering does Subway have any location size standards as this dump is uber cramped. The fellow who made my Teriyaki sandwiches was on point as they were delicious and beautifully constructed. That's were the good ends, the skinny 3rd world curry eating lady that I believe is the manager or owner seemed to be on the rag or had roti stuck up her rear end, as she had the audacity to charge me .75 cents for a cup of ice while I'm spending over $20.00 (got me some chips/cookies with the sandwiches).
