I finally said, "Hey, hello, I'm waiting," and the employee responded, "He'll be with you in a minute." The person who was supposed to help me then continued doing whatever they were already doing without looking at me, acknowledging me, or giving any update. After that, I walked out. Basic acknowledgement matters. Guests shouldn't have to work for attention in an empty restaurant. I hope management addresses this, because experiences like this are discouraging and easily preventable.
