There was a line when I went in but that wasn't a problem. The boy behind the counter was very chatty and definitely taking his time. Still no problem. Then found out he had a called-in order he had to fix before he helped me. I asked him how many orders he was going to do before he waited on me. I was just trying to see how much longer I would be waiting. I am hearing impaired and tend to have a loud voice. He told me I was yelling at him and he wouldn't wait on me at all and I was to leave the store. I was shocked. He was obviously overwhelmed and I told him so. I also had a choice comment for him when I left. Obviously I will never be going back there. The food isn't that good and as you can see, the service is even worse. read more

I had a poor experience at this subway. It was empty and I entered with my wife and our 4 children (ages 18, 16, 14, 9). There were two young employees. One of them looked as if it was his first day or close to it, he often forgot steps and was extremely slow, perhaps he was in training; I'm not really concerned about that though, but I think it lead to our issue. We ordered 6 subs, but rather than processing the subs in order as I've normally seen, the more experienced sandwich artist put us into two groups? Which I thought was odd. They were out of Italian bread which was a little surprising, but we got satisfactory substitutes, so no issues there. The sandwich making was slow, but understandable given how slow the new person was. The issue I wish to complain about is that the more experienced girl left our sandwiches and turned to attend to a new customer behind us. She prepared his sandwich to completion and jumped it past ours us before the other slower employee even finished two of our sandwiches. We did not like this at all. We were there before that person and were waiting for our order. We would have expected her to say "We'll be with you in just a minute" as she helped on our order to speed it up rather than taking the order of a customer behind us. Then another customer showed up and she mentioned to the boy to finish up our order while she again took the order of the person behind us. At this point my wife spoke up and said in an upset tone "I'd rather you didn't, we've been waiting for our order". I then said "Yes, if this had been 6 separate orders, you would have done them in order rather than taking someone else's order behind us". She chose to ignore use and took the order for the gentleman behind us, finished it, sent him on his way, and then finally proceeded to help the very slow new kid to finish our order (he still had 3 sandwiches to finish up). The end result was this: 1) We felt frustrated and devalued, despite the fact that we brought significantly more money to the store that day than any of the other customers that she bumped ahead of us. 2) I was in such a hurry to get our order done that I didn't provide enough feedback to the new kid on how to make my sandwich and just said "it's fine" just so he could move forward and finish the rest. 3) The girl was reaching over the boy to grab toppings for the other sandwiches which resulted in some of the toppings splashing into our sandwiches. Not a bit deal for us, but it looked sloppy and felt like it violated some sort of operating process. It felt like the girl needs better training before she's allowed to run the restaurant. It felt as if she was thrown into this position with only a couple of weeks or so on the job and didn't really understand the "Subway way" of doing things--like she was improvising as she went. Every single time I go here I always order the same thing. Spicy Italian deluxe with no salami and provolone cheese on Italian herb and cheese, everytime I order online I always make sure to put that i don't want salami since I can't take it off in the app. Yet everytime ireland is working she always puts on salami. Fun fact, I really hate salami which is why I ask for it not to be on there, on top of that it was on Italian bread even though I made sure to change it to Italian herb and cheese. So I just wasted 15 bucks getting a sandwich I can't eat and I'm not gonna drive to the store again just to have them say they never read the special directions... except I know they do because outside of the sandwich they followed all my other requests (not putting chips in the sandwich bag) so I KNOW they read it. Every time I go in, busy or not, the people working are very friendly and give great customer service. It's my favorite Subway location.

First of all, this store is ALWAYS out of bread!! How can a sub shop be out of bread at mealtimes??? I ordered a catering platter from this store and the person who took the order was very pleasant. The day I was supposed to pick up the platter someone calls me and asks (very rude tone) if they can substitute white bread for the Italian Herb and Cheese, I said you have had my order all week so you should have known this and no please no substitutions. I gave them an extra half hour so they could have more time to get the bread correct. The young kid that I spoke with at the time was very rude!! At about 11:50 the same kid calls and says where are you, your sandwiches were supposed to be picked up at 11:00. I said, no, the original order was 11:30 pick up and I gave you an extra half hour to get the bread correct. He says, rude again, NO you said 11:00. I said no, why would I pick it up a half hour earlier than originally ordered if you needed extra time for the bread. He started arguing with me. I said that's enough, I will get the sandwiches at noon. Please do not argue with me anymore. I arrive to pick the sandwiches up at 12:00. Again the same rude employee approaches me looking to start an argument. I let him know that his customer service skills were poor - he gets in my face and says Well, you are not nice either. THEN, looked at my order and it was incorrect. He wants to argue with me over that too. I just paid and left. Ironically a customer sitting in the shop got up and came to the opposite side of the store to open the door for me, and said good for you. I imagine they also experienced poor customer service too. This was the most horrible experience EVER, and I will drive 20 miles out of my way to go the Subway in Stanwood. Horrible Horrible Horrible experience, and much less on my son's birthday party day! OK I feel really bad about giving her a bad review because I really want to Subway to stay there and I like having it there however I want in there tonight I'm an hour before closing I was alone the person working I asked her what time they open in the morning she said she doesn't now that was it I don't know she didn't want to find out anything it was done. Then she made my sandwich I asked for a certain kind of bread she gave me a different kind of bread I didn't notice until I got home. I told her what veggies she put the wrong ones on I had to stop her and ask her to take them off and she put them back into the other veggies that other customers will have to eat. Then I asked for a certain kind of sauce she dumped it on when I said just a tiny bit she poured massive sauce. I asked her to take it off and she just spread it around confused finally I said just wrap it up and I took it home. I showed up to this Camano Island subway at 9:46 PM this evening and knocked on the door and knocked on the door as I was walking away someone finally came out of the back and yelled they were closed! I said it's not 10 o'clock yet, so they came to the door and I said 'it's not 10 o'clock yet, you're not closed for another 10 minutes, can you please make me a sandwich". He said no, it's close enough to closing time where I would still be open after 10 o'clock if I made you a sandwich and I have too many chores to do, and he turned me away. This young man's name was Brandon and obviously doesn't have much of a work ethic. I will never return to this business again. read more

If 0 stars were an option.... The experience/treatment my friend & I just walked away from still has our heads spinning. I'm so disappointed as I have purchased salads here previously. Today was by far different from any experience I've ever had at any Subway. No typical friendly greeting as I walked in. And the greeting my friend received, as she entered several minutes after me was an abrupt, "It'll be just a minute!" The salad I ordered was less than half the space in the "to go" salad container. It looked like day old salad by the time she was done with it. When I asked for more lettuce, the prep girl said she couldn't and the 1.5 oz required amount of lettuce was what she had included. Rules are rules after all. Her rude demeanor was not something any patron of any business establishment should experience. I asked for the managers name, and the young man at the cash register pointed to himself and stated "Mike, I'm the manager" with no offer of making things right. Or "Is there anything we can do to make this experience better for you?" Nada. In fact his demeanor was such that My friend & I wondered if he knew what he was doing. He fumbled with the cash register and seemed incredibly out of what should have been a manager's element. I came here during lunchtime. Most of the tables were packed full. There was a long line behind me (must have gotten there at just the right time.) The staff was welcoming and nice. However, I got the vibe that the two girls that were working really didn't like each other. The restaurant was clean, however it was a bit crowded. I was able to get my two sandwiches and leave within 7 min... I suppose the average wait time for sandwiches! :) read more

I just ordered from Camano subway, and the girl was so nice and very prompt. The sandwiches that we had were the best we've ever had from subway. The ultimate Italian cheesy bread was the best ever. We will be back!!! It was at 9 at night, so whoever she was, was the best ever! She said she also works at Mt Vernon subway as well. I would drive to that subway too. Was not impressed with the workers at all!!!! I'm a vegetarian visiting family and it just so happens that we lost power. Dinner time came around and everyone was in the mood for a subway sandwich. The girls working were aware that my sandwich was a veggie sandwich, so a logical assumption would be that I don't meat touching my sandwich, right? Well the girl making my sandwich after touching chicken, salami, and bacon came back to my cheese sandwich to put the veggies on. I kindly asked her to remake my sandwich which was not hard at all to put cheese on a foot long and put it in the oven. While going back to the gloves and bread she quietly whispered to the girl who she was working with and rolled their eyes. I'm sorry but that is bad customer service. My wife and I had a couple of salads from the Camano Island location three nights ago. The young lady making the salads did a magnificent job and the salads were great. So, we decided to have salads again last night, big mistake. The salads were made by a part-time employee. I took them home for dinner and they were terrible. Next day I called and talked with the duty supervisor who was most cooperative and understanding. She told me that if I returned with the receipt she would not only refund the money but would make two new salads. She wanted to have satisfied customers Excellent customer service I thought. Not so. When I went back that evening there was a different supervisor who told me that she could not offer a refund but would still replace the salads. I told her that the day supervisor had told me that she would refund the money and remake the salads. She said that she would call her supervisor. While she was on the phone she said that her supervisor would not authorize a refund and if I did not like it I should leave the store. I asked to talk with her supervisor and was told, "She is not available as she is having dinner with her family". Really? REALLY? I have owned five businesses and if I told my clients that I was too busy to talk with them because I was having dinner, I would not only lose that client but probably any potential clients she talked to. Camano Island is small and word gets around. I was flat-out lied to by Subway management. This is NOT the way to develop customer loyalty. Not only will I never return to Subway, but I will encourage my clients and friends not to frequent Subway stores. read more
