Service here is deplorable! I would say, avoid this place like the plague. The floor is sticky, had to hunt and search for napkins.

Some highlights were the burger (the best I've ever had), the trout (also the best I've ever had), the charcuterie board (delicious), and the beef tallow fries (also delicious). The service was amazing; the servers were very nice and the food was very quick. Also, the ambiance was very nice; we were there on a Tuesday night and there was a waitlist (I recommend coming around 5 PM to beat the crowd). Overall, amazing! 5 stars.

After an incredible lunch here, I could not agree more! The location is easy to access with some free and paid parking options nearby. We stopped in on a Sunday around noon and didn't have to wait for a table. The building is part meat market, part restaurant, with fun modern decor and lots of natural lighting. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, though we opted to sit inside since it was already a warm day. Our server was great, and the food was just as wonderful. We ordered the pork rinds, grilled figs, tomato salad, and the burger to share. Every bite was full of flavor and made you want to go back for more! The tomatoes in the salad were lovely and fresh, and the burger was cooked to perfection and topped with housemade pickles and melty cheese. We didn't have room for dessert this time, but we'll definitely be back the next time we're in Chatt.

I did Edward's Point and Signal Mountain on a super hot morning hike and decided I had earned a huge sandwich and some pimento cheese so, I snuck in about 25 minutes before closing to get a sandwich to go. Staff were SO nice and welcoming. Telling me there was no rush, I could sit and eat, etc. I spoke to the charming Chris, who went over the entire menu with me and offered for me to sample a few of their pasta salads and pimento and made suggestions. He was the biggest sweetheart. In the end, they didn't have the daily special chopped Italian I'd seen so, I went with a turkey and cheese with pimento to go and some sweet tea. At checkout, another friendly and lovable female staffer was totally charming. My sandwich was HUGE and the pimento cheese was some of the best I've ever had! And, your girl is from the South so, I've had a metric ton of pimento in my life. I really like the location and the vibes inside. Local's gem. And the staff, A+++++

The basil tomato soup was OK- it would've been nice if it was served with a bread roll. Go with her again by choice, probably not, but it was the only one open when our sandwich place was closed earlier this week. Worker who took our order was not particularly welcoming, either annoyed and after writing up our slip to take to the cashier kind of tossed at us, but it's OK for it, but she would recommend getting your sandwich to go and take it to the park instead

Order at the counter and find a table to dine at. All the tables are outside. Great views everywhere you look. Purchased Catfish tacos to share with my fabulous bride. It was pricey, but it was quite tasty. Actually, everything on the menu was pricey. Guess it is to be expected at a touristy place with awesome views. Make sure you clean up after yourselves. Don't want any trash flying away. Rock City Gardens and Lookout Mountain is too lovely a place to allow trash to ruin its beauty.

The views you get to enjoy from your dining table are hard to match unless you are at a ski resort or other mountaintop establishment. Rock City is on Lookout Mountain so as far as I know this might be the only place in the world where you can look out over 7 states as you eat and drink so that is worthy of having a beer and some food at this establishment at least once in your life. Yellow deli is one of the best restaurants in Chattanooga in terms of tourist experience due to it being truly once of the first yellow delis. Although the staff might be a bit off putting at times, they are very kind and respectful of the customers that come in--all of them are very gentle and soft spoken. If you are in a rush this is not the place to go because their service time is respectfully slower than most. The interior of yellow deli is so beautiful, very much old cottage/pub like style--the whole place has intricate woodwork, warm/soft lighting, and giant murals on the wall. I am vegetarian, and get the veggie burger a majority of my visits, and it is TO DIE FOR in terms of flavor. I have been aching to get my hands on the recipe because it really is that good. On that note, it is difficult to eat at times because the patty comes apart, I would ask for a fork and I'm sure you will receive. Before I went vegetarian my go to was the deli rose and the saltiness of the deli meat with the sweetness of the sauce is unbelievable. The bread is house made and is undoubtedly fresh and delicious. There is not one time I have been that the quality of food they serve has slacked. I definitely recommend!

This is the third location I have been to! The location is different menu items than the ones I've been to in california. The sweet potato pound cake is probably the best thing I have ever eaten. I also had one of their lattes and it was a phenomenal mix. I highly recommend stopping and enjoying this little spot.
