a close up of a piece of spinach
    Erwin W.

Dirty. 1pm on Sunday with zero customers and every table filthy with crumbs and mess. Spinach looks 3 days old, near rotten and slimy. Girls does not ask if for here so wrapped toasted subs right...not as tasty. Weekdays better due to staff but weekends are 2 star so avoid on weekends. NOTE. Came in on Saturday at kids insistence ...owner was here, all veggies were fresh, bread good and service fine. Staffing and training g seem to be the issue. Keeping 3 stars as all tables still filthy, wet, food and germs from last group. Need anti germ wipe and clean 3-4x an hour when mid day ! Will go to 4 stars if clean. Lost a star today. 3 employees and just 2 customers Noon on Saturday yet tables filthy with food waste AND EVEN THE WIPED down tables are wet and not cleaned. Only 1 of 3 employees knew how to do register and build hot sandwiches so he was doing 2-3 jobs while the other two watched. ONLY reason to go here is lack of any sub shop in UA but RAX subs starting to have merit. Booo Unclean, needs inspected and will fail. Poor food safety. Raised to 2 stars, owner working yesterday and food at least fresh. Still dirty all through eating area. Can't get owner all the time and rarely clean so.. Today at NOO , staffed with 2 v 3 so 35 min line....piss poor, boo.

Their Dave's sauce is interesting - very vinegar forward but it works. I really liked it! Employee was super hospitable and made sure we were satisfied with our order. Dave's Cosmic %hit Subs... Where do you want me to start?…read more We're in town for the CBUS Blue Jackets and Door Dashed this bull %hit to our ABnB. To start, we ordered at 6:27, our Door Dasher picked up the food at 6:36, but it wasn't delivered until 8:57... Completely unacceptable. Granted the extremely late delivery wasn't the restaurant's fault (necessarily)... However, because they use Door Dash for delivery, they're ultimately responsible by proxy. Add in that the delivery driver spoke no English, tried to kick our English Staffy who ran out whilst smiling to say "hi" (if you know anything about Staffy's, you know they love people and don't have a mean bone in their body), our food was cold because it was delivered 1.5 hours late, and I was about to lose my flipping mind. Now onto the food... These were quite honestly some of the worst subs we've ever had. Subway is miles ahead of this hot garbage, and it's not remotely close. The food was $50 for two puny half filled subs, inedible coleslaw (absolutely disgusting), a pickle, and a GF cookie (that was not delivered). Now onto the really bad part... Within 30 minutes of eating this trash, both my wife and I had to run for the toilet (I'll leave it at that). Bottom line... Screw this place. PS - If I ever run into Cosmic Dave, he's going to get a piece of my mind for charging people $ for this crap.

I love the coconut cloud iced and I just tried the orange blossom latte. Both were memorable and worth a return trip. I keep trying something different with my drink (food wise) and most things have been misses. The breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich=miss for me and quite pricey for grab and go. I will say the broccoli cheddar soup in the deli/middle was off the charts good at one of my visits in the fall. I have eaten in the cafe once and service was good (most of my experiences have been in the coffee shop area). The French onion soup was fantastic. The spinach artichoke pastry was good. Overall, the coffee is worth a return trip. Definitely a fan for the coffee. Not a fan overall for the food and service.

Everything was much enjoyed and really hit the spot. The staff was friendly and efficient. They took the order with a phone number and then texted us to come back for pick up when it was ready.

I remember it clearly as I was a newbie to Central Ohio and they sold Cheerwine* in bottles. From there, I've caught them at a handful of small festivals, at Platform, and at Pins Mechanical when they parked there for a while. I've had the por'ketta sandwich, the potato salad, and the pork sundae. I could have reviewed these guys quite a while ago but I guess I was waiting for a certain dish to push me over the 'review this now' ledge. Well, I had that dish this weekend at Platform. (Where these guys are parked on Saturdays.) I had the breakfast sandwich. The bread, same that is used for the other sandwiches, was beautiful. On the sandwich were roasted red peppers, that had been peeled! I really dislike fire roasted things that haven't been peeled (i.e. tomatoes, peppers) so when I saw that the ones on the sandwich were peeled I was stoked! It shouldn't be a secret, I freakin' LOVE mayo and mayo based things (Duke's mayo forever). But, MAN the aioli used on this sandwich was on point. The thyme in it took it over the top! The bacon was great and complimented the other ingredients well. The only thing I wasn't too keen on, at first, were the scrambled eggs on the sandwich. It looked (and smelled) a bit overcooked on one side of the sandwich. However, after a few bites into the sandwich, my dislike of the scrambled eggs changed when I realized that they had crisped the cheese to the bottom side of the eggs. I love crispy, toasted cheese! With the sandwich came a side of griddled potatoes. These guys are likely the same potatoes that get crafted into potato salad. There's a vinegar backing that reminded me of the potato salad. They complimented the sandwich oh so we'll. The gentleman that was working even brought out our dog some chicken! Our dog loved it of course and wants to already know when we can go back for brunch at Platform. Por'ketta serves the breakfasty side of their menu till 2 when they switch to lunch. As a note I had my wife order the sandwich as it comes; these guys would surely honor egg style requests. Next time I get the breakfast sandwich, I will ask for an egg with a soft yoke- as that would have made this sandwich untouchable by any other food truck (and likely restaurant) breakfast sandwich. ----- *Cheerwine is a North Carolina based cherry soda. You can find it a handful of places now- Kenny Road, Savor Pints, any of the City BBQs just to name a few. (p.s. I am not affiliated with Cheerwine, just a Southerner who likes a little taste of home)

Or I've just been lucky. I did not expect to give this five stars, or to enjoy it quite as much as I did. I mean, it's a sandwich shop. Grinders used to be scattered around Columbus, and this might be the only one left. I used to go to the one by me all the time. This happened to be nearby today, and so I stopped in out of nostalgia. And it was pretty much what I remember. But a peak experience. Service was great, fast and friendly. The menu is pretty much the same as it always was. Lobster bisque was one of the soups of the day and I didn't expect it to be great quality, but it sounded good, and I got my usual club sub. Soup and drink, and bread for the soup (you could choose crackers) were up almost immediately. Sandwich took about 10 minutes, but that's of course because it's being toasted. The soup was fine, nothing special, strong sherry odor, lots of tiny bits of lobster. Pleasant enough, and served with a chunk of good bread. And they serve it piping hot in its own little crock with a metal spoon. Don't throw those in the trash. The sandwich was as good as I remember, maybe better. Good bread, loads of meat, tomatoes, and a honey mustard spread. I got a 6 inch and it seemed longer than that, although maybe my estimation skills are off... It was very tasty. Held together pretty well. I was stuffed. They have lots of salads, that is, pasta salad or potato salad, etc. They are always good, but I didn't have any room with the soup. The place was clean, it was steady at 1 PM but not packed. Plenty of parking in the big mall lot. I really enjoyed it. And as far as sandwich shops go, this is about as good as it gets.
