    The Carmella

Inside a food hall which very briefly confused me, but I love food halls because you get to see all kinds of options. I got the Carmella and it was so delicious and fresh. I requested no meat because I'm a vegetarian and the workers were very accommodating. The sauces and peppers meshed together so well and the toast on the sandwich was perfect. The bread was crunchy but not hard as some baguettes. My boyfriend got the kimchi Reuben and he said it was really good 10/10. The kimchi was really good. We definitely recommend, but both note that the sandwiches are on the pricier side. The workers were kind and helpful as well.

I have been wanting to try this place and finally got a chance. A steady stream of people were ordering but I saw the team turning tickets quickly. Bodega Chopped cheese is the way to go. The ratio from cheese to Wagyu beef was perfect! Keep in mind it does get messy. The soup of the day was brisket chili was great just wished it had a kick and no beans. The bread is done in house which makes the sandwich 10x better! My friend saw how much I liked the sandwich she ended up ordering Paulies Pastrami. Team was super friendly to all of the guest. Even chatted us up while we were eating since we were able to snag the table right next to the stall. I suggest everyone come visit this place when they are at East Market!

I ordered a to-go meal from Buck City Sammies and the sandwich was very good. Better than katzingers for sure. I ordered the Paulie pastrami and it rivals the quality of a traditional Cleveland style sandwich. The breaded is buttered and grilled (nice crunch) and the meat is shaved thin and has flavor. I also appreciate that they did not put too much sauce or toppings on....i am truly impressed. 5/5 will order again.

The sandwiches here are huge, and even though the price point is high, they can easily be two meals. Each sandwich has very generous fillings and comes with a bag of chips. I enjoyed my pastrami sandwich sandwich - it's one of the better pastramis I have had in Columbus. We also tried the bodega chopped cheese (it was just ok) and the smoked turkey (I liked it more than I thought I would).

    Pimento cheese & chips

Ordered for delivery via postmates, got the Yo Adrian with salt & vinegar chips, and housemade pimento cheese & chips. Had no problems receiving the correct order in a timely manner. All of the items were so yummy. It's hard to find places serving good pimento cheese near where I live, so I was excited to see it on the menu at Buck City, and I really enjoyed this. The sandwich was tasty too, a thick layer of italian meats, tasty pesto, fresh mozzarella, the arugula adding an herby flavor not too intense, all of the ingredients just came together so well, sandwiched between those crisp and airy sourdough slices. I was pleased with my meal from this awesome eatery.

Love their sandwiches. Every bite, I say mmmmm! The bread is sooooo good. Premium toppings, tons of toppings. Comes with kettle chips. Great service, good food at a decent price. What more can you ask for?

Buck City is a solid sandwich shop located in East Market. Service is good as the guys taking my order both times were friendly and helpful. All of their sandwiches come with a bag of chips, and the ones on a baguette are definitely large enough for two people to share. I could tell that they use good quality ingredients like fresh mozzarella and better deli meats like capicola. I tried two different sandwiches, the Carmella and the Karen, and while both were good and satisfying, I wouldn't say they really hit the spot. I'm a self-professed condiment queen, so I like my sandwiches to have an ample amount of sauce, dressing, mayo, etc. and theirs seem to be lacking. I'd return but ask them to go heavier on these to suit my liking.

The Carmella. Big enough for 2!

Stopped back at Buck City Dec 29th with some friends. Decided to try the fried green tomato sandwich with bacon. It was good. Huge. Bug enough for two people. Came with chips. As good as it was, I still think the Carmella is better. I will be back to challenge another menu item against your perfectly created Carmella sandwich.

We had a hard time figuring out what to order because all the options looked delicious. We decided on the pimento grilled cheese because I can't say no to pimento. We ordered a side of the pasta salad which had a little kick and was really nice. Would order from here again in a heartbeat.

Let me lead with you need their 'Yo Adrian sandwich in your life. And you need Isiah to make it for you. This guy is a magician and crafted an exceptional combination of fresh cheeses, vegetables, quality meats and date I say it truffle butter for our lunch this morning. Take a look at the menu and you dimply can't go wrong down there in East Market. The venue has this awesome industrial hawker stall vibe and I'm going to return tomorrow because it was simply delicious. Give it a go!

They know what they're doing here. There was some cheesesteak pop up that opened next to them and it just looked like an overpriced waste of time. Instead I went to Buck City Sammie's with unique flavor profiles, not your run of the mill tasting breads from Krogers or Giant Eagle but fresh bakery level breads and girthy, meaty, thick sandwiches. Prices and quality here are on par with Brown Bag Deli and it's well worth the price for the high superior quality and flavors. On the other hand if you want a cheap sandwich, with cheap quality and meats like it came from a government food pantry then go to Subway or wack ass Jimmy John's where the bread overpowers the meat.

If your a sandwich person you will need to put this spot on your list. Great local vendor located inside the East Market (the historic old trolley building). We ordered and split The Carmella for lunch. Yes half was enough for one person and it was delicious. I was sad when it was gone. Yes, the sandwiches are a little pricey, but they are worth it with all fresh ingredients and they are big. Service is spot on and the attention they make to prepare your sandwich shows. The is one both in their location but there is plenty of seating around the market. They have a large lot adjacent to the building so parking isn't a problem. I can't wait to go back to try one of their other creations. Stop by and give them a try...I promise you will not be disappointed.

Hands down the BEST BURRITOS in the city. This is a food truck in a small parking lot of a corner…read morestore on E. Livingston Ave. The majority of vehicles in the lot are for this food truck and not the store. I'm out in California often yet the burritos from this place smashes a lot of burritos on the WEST COAST! The proteins are fresh and well seasoned the cheese, rice, sauces etc in the burritos marry well together. It's not like one section of the burrito is just rice and the other is meat, and the next layer are veggies or cheese. The way the wrap them everything is kinda mixed together well so each bite you're getting a little bit of everything and the grilled onions on the side are the chefs kiss. I got a SOPE and it was decent but small and not too filling but their burritos are a homerun to me! The only drawbacks are whatever time they have listed that they open they are not on time so if 11am is listed they'll probably open up at 11:30 or 11:45. Also they take a LOT of call in orders so if you walk up and order something be prepared to wait 30 mins or more. I guess they have to make stuff in the order that they get them so if it's 10 call in orders ahead of you I guess they've got to make those first. Nevertheless it's definitely worth the wait. You CAN NOT get a burrito this food anywhere in the city especially from a chain like Barrio, Chipotle, Q Doba even if you're standing there in their faces telling them what you want. This spot makes the burritos for you and they're still WAY better! Future trips I'll try their tacos and tortas

I ordered 3 birria tacos @ $3.50 and two chicken tacos The birria lacked flavor, really. Not sure what is needed but Iused a extra lime to give it some some flavor. Even with the consume. I'd stick to the torta or tacos next time. I've had more flavorful birria.

A lot of you aren't ready for this discussion but I'm going to go there anyways: A LARGE MAJORITY of these Hispanic food trucks in this city are CULTURALLY BIASED and give you poor customer service and poor food if you are not of their culture or ethnicity. Right off the rip some of em got stank attitudes, ice grills, bad demeanors or pretend they don't speak or understand any English just to get you to leave. Some of yall KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I'm TALKING ABOUT and MEAN! Definitely NOT this place though. NO MATTER THE RACE OR ETHNICITY THEY TREAT EVERYONE THE SAME WITH GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! All they see here is GREEN regarding cranking out the food and getting that money which is how ALL PLACES SHOULD BE. This spot is a GRANDSLAM HIT! The chorizo tacos American style are delicious. They give you two choices of tacos either American with Cheese Lettuce Sour Cream or Mexican or Latin with Lettuce Cilantro Lime Radishes or something like that. The chicken here is grilled fresh with a nice Smokey chargrilled flavor to it that's moist. The beans and rice are decent as well. I believe this is a stationary food truck tucked in the back parking lot of a black beauty shop diagonal from MLK library and across the street from Doctors East OSU Hospital on Long St. They get mad business during the lunch hours with all the hospital folks who are sick of hospital food with lines down the block. Either go as soon as they open or after the lunch rush. Pay attention to their hours of operation because they're not open 7 days a week nor late in the evening. Another drawback is if you use a credit card then they slap you with a $1 Upcharge credit card fee
