Unfortunately, I have to travel to Durant from time to time for business. So after a 6 month ban on this particular subway (for numerous infractions), I decided to give it another shot tonight. Big mistake; lifetime ban in place now. Let me start by explaining what earned them a ban in the first place. This place is generally rundown. Last time I went there their credit card machine was broken. That was the final straw, after the time before that, they were out of various breads. And by various, I mean most. They had two kinds of bread left. Oh, and the time before that they were out of most of the cheeses. How hard is it to keep your shit stocked, Subway on Main? So like I said, I decided to give them another shot, now that their 6 month ban is up. They're on a probation, lets say. So I walk in tonight, and the first gal making sandwiches is just yelling. Yelling at customers (granted, it was not malicious, she was just yelling instead of talking), yelling at the toaster when she hit the wrong button. The second gal is just standing there, slack-jawed, presumably waiting to start tossing veggies on a sandwich. So I'm standing there, waiting patiently, when suddenly the second gal pulls out some more bread and starts making an order for the drive through. The drive through customer who had been there since before I came in. No big deal, they were there first, but maybe you could have started the sandwiches right after they ordered? Whatever. So I'm standing there, slowly losing my patience, when I start to ponder ordering some apples. You see the Holiday Inn Express I'm staying at in Durant (check out my review of that dump!) doesn't have fruit in the mornings, so I'm thinking maybe I should have some. I look up at the menu and notice that two of the menu boxes are blank. Just blank. What happened to that part of the menu? Did they run out of food and just decide to never restock it? Apparently, because I checked the fridge, and there were no apples. This was just about the last straw, but I was on the fence about the apples anyway. Then some other local yokel guy walks in, and the first gal just starts hollering at him. "HEY [SO AND SO]" So, I walk out, and head to one of the other 3 Subways within a few mile radius, never to return. So the takeaway? Sure this review is biased, I didn't like the cut of that gal's jib. But you can't argue with the fact that this joint is ALWAYS OUT OF SOMETHING. I forgot to mention, one time they were out of cups. OUT. OF. CUPS. Well, not all cups, but the normal size cups. So I made them give me the large for the price of the medium, which they were balking at at first. Just go to another Subway. There are 3 in/around Durant. Although they're not much better. I've tried every Subway in the Southern Oklahoma region. I've discovered it must be a requirement to hire people with at least a dusting of meth-mouth. These places are so gross. But when travelling, it's tough to find decently healthy food. So nasty Subways, here I come. read more

Location has a digital board in the drive through which is awesome during COVID, however, the downfall with this is that you don't actually get to see your sandwich being made. I ordered a toasted footling BMT with veggies. They toasted my sandwich, however, did not put any veggies on it. I live 40 minutes away from this location and cannot justify driving back to it to get a corrected order. This was a waste of $10, which is frankly too expensive for the quality of product anyway. read more

Edit as of April 16, 2020: Holy moly. I spent 15 minutes in the drive thru, I got to the window and they didn't see me for another 5, tried to charge me for the wrong one, didn't even have mine made. Then proceeded to neglect to tell me they couldn't put any of the veggies on my sandwich. When I called and ask, of course I understood because of the virus, and I working fast food myself know the severity of it. But the customer to employee communication is piss poor to say the least. If you can spare and individual, go inside and make sure everything is right, if not, don't order from Subway. Firehouse all the way. read more

The sandwich artists don't greet you, they just stare and wait for you to start talking. They will cut you off mid sentence and they are always out of something before lunch even starts. The sandwiches aren't even that great. They kind of just throw the stuff on it and so it's falling apart before you pick it up. read more

Stopped in for lunch yesterday with my parents who are in their 70s. Never have I ever witnessed such rude behavior by someone in a customer service role. My mother asked for lettuce and "tomato" on her sub and when the woman began putting lettuce and "mayo" on the sandwich, my mother politely told her no mayo. At that point, she began yelling and screaming at my 75 year old mother insisting she said lettuce and mayo. Everyone in the restaurant stopped to stare including the cashier! Then when my mother asked for the sub to be toasted, the woman huffed and acted like she was being way too inconvenienced and was throwing the vegetables off the sandwich. When we sat down to eat, I noticed my mother had tears in her eyes from the absolute horror and embarrassment resulting the woman's inexcusable behavior. I WILL NEVER GIVE THIS ESTABLISHMENT ANOTHER DIME OF MY MONEY! Shame on this employee and on her poor management! read more

Hands down the worst subway I have ever had the misfortune of visiting. Needless to say after just running his hands under some tap water and shaking them off my sub was very poorly made and included a very lovely gift of his hair. Not including the fact that my fiancé and I were the only people currently in the establishment and rushed to finish our order and the cashier acted as if we were a problem because they had to get up and do their job. Good service! Great location! The staff is usually really good. There have been some rare occasion problems with someone not quite understanding what I said I wanted and almost messing up, but not too bad. It's hard to hear with the bad acoustics in the store, so that's somewhat understandable. They do occasionally run out of this or that type of bread, but not often. read more
