Just like any other firehouse. Didn't have a problem. The reason I'm posting is mainly cause the reviews haven't updated and I figured I'd help. The staff is great, the food tastes like it usually does. And it was as clean as it could be for a lunch rush when I was there. Glad I didn't just listen to these old reviews and enjoyed my lunch. First trip to a firehouse subs. Helpful staff and great food, selection of hot sauce was top notch!

Went in the Firehouse subs in Durant Ok today a few minutes after they opened. I ordered 2 large sandwiches to go. The first one was a limited time'Thanksgiving' sandwich I wanted to try. Just a few seconds after ordering from the ' not so enthused' register guy, (3 guys and 1 woman employee), one of the other guys stated to me that the Thanksgiving sandwich required dressing that they did not have made up at the time because they had just opened and so it was not available. Before I could say anything, one of the other guys quickly replied "and it's a pain in the butt to make". I replied. Well I'm sorry it's a pain in the butt to make. Another guy did apologize that they couldn't make it right then, but he could, but it would be an additional 12 minutes. I told him that's okay, I'll make another selection and did. After my several minutes wait, my name was called and I went and got the sack without any thank you from any of the 4 employees. I believe any service business should be ready to go when the doors are open! Only 1 star because the sandwich was pretty good. But the rest of the experience, not so good. read more

Awesome everytime we come, the have really gotten everything together and store is always clean.

It's rare that I leave a bad review. However this review is well deserved. One star at best. I was not greeted upon entering the store. The staff looked like they JUST rolled out of bed. When I placed my order, the man never said a word to me or acknowledged me, but was quick to take my money. I stood there and watched them make my order (as I was the only one in the store). Well, they forgot about mine when another person came in and that order suddenly took priority over mine. I kept waiting and waiting, and 30 min later mine was finally made. It was a medium Engineer. The man who took my order (curly dark hair slightly over weight), left my order to sit and went on doing other things while the other woman, who came out (again, like she just rolled out of bed), and was working on the other persons order because there was no communication between the two of them that mine was first and up. So basically my sandwich was thrown together in a slop. It was disgusting and missing the mustard and cheese. Let alone the cold tomato. MANAGEMENT: YOU MUST TRAIN OR SUPERVISE YOUR EMPLOYEES. This is completely unacceptable and made my experience as well as my 9.$ sandwich disgusting. I know y'all can do better so DO BETTER! read more

I've been I this establishment a few times, the women are always nice. The guy is not really friendly. The food is good but where it's starts to fall down is that I see the guy who works here doesn't wash his hands after handling money. One time he finished his lunch licked his fingers went to wash hand but just ran it under water, no soap then dried his hands.This last visit he had gloves on running the cash register the with the same gloves started making sandwiches. So if you get any of the girls doing you lunch your good but if guy does watch what he does. read more

This is easily the worst Firehouse Subs I've ever been to. The guy behind the counter when I was ordering was mumbling back my order and I had no clue if he got it right. Guess what it was wrong. Bread was very fresh and soft. Order was exactly as requested. Soda perfectly mixed. Best sub we have found in Durant!

I had a hook and ladder salad it was put in a regular sub box because they did not have a salad box. That should have been an indicator or the condition of the food but it got worse. When eating the salad I bit down on a steel washer that was in the salad breaking one of my teeth. I contacted the owner and he was rude and really did not care that his food injured someone. I suggest you stay as far away from this place as possible! read more

I stopped in today for a quick sandwich. After I ordered I went over to the corner so I could wait for it to be made and I discovered not one, not two, not three, but for cockroaches. If there are for cockroaches in the lobby area I can only imagine how many there areas. No thanks. read more

Husband bit down on a steel washer that was in a salad resulting in a broken tooth. Went to dentist and he needs a crown. Owner not willing to work with us to assist in getting tooth fixed. Very rude when we spoke to him on phone. Will never eat at this location again. Very disappointed owner will not do what is right. read more

I placed an order on Tuesday for two trays of sandwiches for Saturday. Twenty minutes before I suppose to pick them up a staff member calls me to tell me she doesn't have the staff to make my food and she's calling to cancel after I have already paid. read more

The place look dirty, and when I got there no one in front of me, there were 4 people working or should I say talking. they took my order which took 14 minutes for a classic sub small no mask on. for a newer place in Durant I was not inpressed. read more

This place was very disappointing! Went in & my husband tried going to the restroom & was informed both men's & women's were temporarily closed. Didn't give a reason. Really? Then the female that took our order had a toothpick hanging out the side of her mouth! Not what you want to see in a restaurant! Had on plastic gloves when she took the order, touching the screen of the register with several fingers. Then I watched her go over to make our sandwich, waiting for her to change her gloves but guess what? She didn't!!! I said something to her about it when I saw her touching the meat that was to go on our sandwich & all she said was "my bad". I immediately said, "we are not eating here, give me my money back"! And we walked out!! How nasty & unsanitary can you get?? I will never ever eat at this firehouse!!!! The lady that refunded us did apologize. Didn't help me much. read more

Love the meatball sub! Service is fast and the restaurant is very clean! I can't wait to visit again and try a different sub!

Overall the food was pretty good and the customer service was wonderful. Their drink machine was broke but, they made real effort to fix it and ended up giving us bottled drinks they had in the cooler. They were very helpful. read more
