We also got fries and drinks. It was about $24 total, which isn't terrible compared to other hotdog places in the area. Everything was served piping hot and the hotdogs I would argue are my favorite of any in the area. They are a red hotdog and the white slaw and chili are almost sweet. It reminds me of the hotdogs I grew up eating at a local drive in restaurant back where I'm from. It is a walk-up stand and you're served at a window but you can take your food back to your car and eat in the air conditioning or take it back home with you. The lady taking orders was managing phone orders and in person orders while fixing drinks and calling customers up to get their food. They also have covered outdoor picnic tables with fans running overhead, which was a really nice touch. She had to get the acting manager to give me a refund. He informed me that the truck did not show up. I told him that I knew that the franchise owner of that HARDEES. owned more than just that HARDEES in Lexington and it looked like they would borrow from another HARDEES the supplies they needed until the truck came. He informed me that he was acting manager and until he could hire a new manager, he couldn't leave the store. We have about seven employees standing around why couldn't one of those employees go and get what you need? I would think if you were in the restaurant business that you would do whatever it took to keep that store going. Obvious they've had problems with that particular restaurant a long time. I think the best thing to do is just to shut it down and cut their losses because that manager was not a go-getter. Lately it's…read moreall about the numbers, getting customers out of the drive-through in a timely manner, getting orders to the tables, and now they're new mobile order situation in the drive-through.. with this new way they handle orders, they are starting to lack the actual customer service. This day particular, I arrived to the restaurant with my mobile order, walked inside because curb service wasn't available. I see my order already at the Mobile cart and waited until I was helped. I seen a young lady set food on the Mobile cart beside of mine and I thought to myself, "I guess she's not in charge of Mobile orders?" So I waited a little longer and she continued to set another bag down on the cart so I spoke up and asked, "do you mind if I get my order?" She turned around, looked at me then back to the order and grab my food without even asking my name and continue to sling the the bag on the counter in front of me. She turned around and walked away... didn't even ask if I needed anything else, nor did she partways with a "have a good day or my pleasure".. just rude. This has been several times at this location with different employees.. they dont check the bags before handing out the food. Always missing a fork or sauce. When you're on a timed lunch break, it would help if they made sure everything is there before I have to stand there and bother another employee to ask for things that should have been in the bag.
