Oven Roasted Turkey (but they gave me chicken instead)

I got the footlong BOGO from the app, 2 turkey sandwiches is what I ordered. I went to eat one and it had chicken instead of turkey. I went back the next day to hopefully get a replacement and before I could ask about a potential remake, the owner became hostile and started to raise his voice at me because it was "free." I had only said that I got 2 sandwiches when he cut me off and started yelling that. When I tried to interject that it was wrong and I was just looking for a remake, he kept interrupting and getting mad. I said that I was nicely going to ask for a remake and he said he "didn't care that it was nice, I already got a free sandwich." I was not going to be upset had he said no to a remake, but he had started getting hostile and yelling immediately. I showed him the sandwich that he used chicken instead of turkey and he got even more mad and went to remake it. What is even worse is he was the only person working the previous night, so I have reason to believe he purposely messed it up after this interaction. I told him that I ordered the sandwich and it is up to them to make it correctly the first time. He told me that I was ungrateful and I always get free sandwiches and it would be a waste. He said he would get rid of the BOGO for everyone else and that it would be "because of me." While standing over my sandwich, he kept trying to engage in an argument with me over the fact that I always use the BOGO. He said that I don't have the courtesy to order anything else to support his business and I said "well what if I can't afford anything else" and he essentially said that it was not his problem, he's losing money off of me. He also got angry when I referred to the BOGO as a coupon rather than a BOGO deal. They aren't mutually exclusive so I don't understand why he was so angry over that. I started to get worried about me being there because I was alone, it was at night, and I'm a woman, so I started to record the conversation. I have the last 5 minutes on recording and you can hear him yelling at me that I always get free sandwiches, he doesn't make money off of me, it's a BOGO deal not a coupon, and that I'm the reason he's getting rid of BOGO. I told him that it's good that he is getting rid of the BOGO if he is going to be this upset over people using it. After some more back and forth, he slid the sandwich to me and said "If I ever see your name again and you get the BOGO, you are getting one sandwich." The recording did not get the worst of it, but you can hear him yelling at me and trying to argue with me. I can't imagine being an owner of a business and yelling at a woman at least 30 years younger than you about using a coupon. I will never be back and I will make sure no one that I know will go back. I've never felt more embarrassed, scared, and upset at a local business in my life. Overall, DO NOT go to this subway, the owner is incredibly rude. Such a hostile environment to be in. Jacks next door is much nicer and has no problem fixing their (rare) mistakes.

Poorly equipped sandwich.

Gross. Not worth the money. The owner changes the expiration dates on the food. Ever little portion size.

The shrimp batter was salty, light and crunchy! Fries were crinkled and crisp. Slaw was nice and tangy! Probably not a great place if you're trying to watch the diet! Clean restaurant inside. Service was great! Lots of people on a Friday for lunch! Would come back and try their po boys!

We were greeted by the hostess and allowed to choose where we wanted to sit. They have table and booth seating available. Our server was really prompt and friendly. For starters, I ordered gumbo. It was horrible; look at the picture and draw your own conclusion. I do NOT recommend the gumbo!!! Save your $6.99.... THANKFULLY, everything else was yummy!!!!! My mom had the popcorn shrimp platter and I had the catfish filet platter( fried hard). The platter comes with 2 sides + hushpuppies. See pics We couldn't eat all our food so we had to get to go boxes. We also ordered lemon pie but since they were out, we got the key lime pie instead. Reallly tasty slice of pie heaven! The Ark is located off Main Street in Springville, Al. They have parking on both sides of the building. Overall, this was a solid visit. Good food, good service in a comfortable atmosphere with TVs and nice music playing. I plan to return soon!

Wow! Really, really, really impressed at how delicious this place was. We were road-tripping in…read morethe area and decided to stop in for lunch, and I'm so glad we did! Cleveland is a small town that would be easy for many to miss, but a trip to the area for this restaurant alone is worth it. It seems a fairly popular spot for lunch and also boasts a small local collection of art, the profits of which go to support a local addiction recovery group. Very kind. The restaurant is clearly owned and operated by Christian folks as evidenced by the decorations, but the churchy feeling is very welcoming and not at all proselytizing. Likewise, the service was effusively kind and helpful. They were happy to chat and answer questions about the menu. They greeted each customer with a smile on their face and made appropriate small-talk with regulars. An older gentleman who was clearly hard of hearing was treated with heaps of patience and kindness; he seemed a regular and they said goodbye to him and reassured him they'd be waiting for him when he visited again the following week. It was so sweet and did my heart good. :) The menu has a lot of fancy sandwiches, a few entree salads, and a few entrees like smoked chicken and loaded baked potatoes. Sides are sort of upscale bbq/southern restaurant (grits, greens, potato salad, beans, etc). The prices are appropriate for the portion size and very high quality of the food. I ordered their "Ranch Burger" sans red onion and tomato while both of my parents got the patty melt. I tried their macaroni and cheese for a side; both 'rents got the baked potato salad. Our food was cooked fresh so it took a few minutes to come out; it was more than worth the wait. I will go ahead and get out of the way that the only not gold-star-worthy item was the macaroni and cheese. It wasn't bad, but it seemed like it had been reheated and it was just sort of gloopy and a little oily. I'd get my parents' baked potato salad over that next time; it had fresh-cooked crumbled bacon bits on it and was so smoky and cool. Holy MOLY the sandwiches, yall. The patties were hand-formed on both, steaming hot and cooked perfectly. Nice balance of fattiness too. My burger was an awesome symphony of flavor: slightly sweet, soft pretzel bun, melted sharp cheddar, creamy ranch, and this amazing sweet-and-salty bacon jam that perfectly tied the whole thing together. The copious amount of ranch made it a little hard to eat, but paper towels were readily available and I smashed that dang burger. As delicious as it was, my parents' patty melts may have been even better. Same great burger, add delightfully crispy, thick-cut bacon and this absolutely fabulous cheese dip...WOW. Hard to describe how incredible both sandwiches were, so with that in mind: go TRY THEM yourself. Thanks so much for one of the best meals I've had in a good while!
