The fish portions are generous (honestly better value than the other fish fry place in town) and the coleslaw and fries are great. You can get the fish grilled as well which you just have to ask for. The kids meals have a rib meal option which is amazing so we sampled our kids' ribs and loved them. Very casual, you can grocery shop for jerky and cheese and more while waiting - and they have high chairs and clean restrooms.

I ordered the blackened North Pacific Cod Tackle Box. Tackle Boxes come with fries, hush puppies, coleslaw and sauce. The hush puppies are a definite must-order, and I say this as a person who has neutral feelings about hush puppies. My husband got the Fried Shrimp Tackle Box, and he said that the shrimp were perfectly fried: not too much batter. They have a kids menu here: your choice of fried cod bites or chicken tenders. We got one of each, and my kids really liked them, especially the cod bites with a little tartar sauce. The kids meals come with apple sauce and fries, but no drink. When you go into the shack to order, look to your right and you'll see refrigerators with lots of different beverages, including local Michigan beer in cans. I called to order food for my family and waited on hold (with the line open) for 8 minutes and 36 seconds. After receiving no acknowledgement, we decided to drive there. Walked in and sat down, waited for service, or at least a look in our direction. This didn't happen for over 20 minutes. So now with almost 30 minutes of our time wasted, we left. I counted 8 people behind the counter, some were looking at electeonics, not dealing with customers. This is a good way to burn the bridges of locals that keep these businesses alive. Someone could have said "hey we're really busy right now but here's a menu we'll get back to you soon".
