We stopped in on jan. 1st at the Paw Paw location (in the strip mall with the auto parts store and buffalo bills tobacco shop) around lunch time- and were greeted with superb customer service. There were two ladies in working at that time and the front one working the sandwich area at that time was amazing. A young woman, who had darker hair and (a nose ring, I believe-whose name I did not catch, unfortunately) went ABOVE and BEYOND! I had 2 small kids with me and we had a bit of an accidental water spill. This woman noticed that we had a spill (we tried to clean it up ourselves) and she noticed and came in with the mop to help clean it up (although we had mostly cleaned it), she put up the wet floor sign even though we were the only ones in the restaurant (to warn possible incoming patrons about the slippery floor). She also offered to trim down my kids' straws since they had a small cup and the straw was WAAAY too long. ALL of this was just the "little" extra things that were not at all LITTLE nor did they go unnoticed. The BIGGEST point I came here to say, though, was that she KNOWS how to make a sandwich!!! I order a Very FULL sandwich, and to start- She placed the meat correctly so that when it is folded- the sandwich actually closes, she also used the knife to help her assist in folding the sandwich closed- which helps in not losing any of the toppings. I also ask for A LOT of lettuce, she put on the RIGHT amount the FIRST time out (most other sandwich artists I have to ask them to add "more" 3 times and even then, usually it is still not enough lettuce). She also used her "common sense" when adding the ingredients to my sandwich- the cucumbers' freshness was Questionable, so she DUG down towards the bottom of the bin to get a colder, fresher batch of cucumbers. I do not live in or near town- so when I need a sandwich I have at least a 25 minute commute, that being said, I can choose any of the surrounding towns to go to. There are three other towns that I could choose to go to which are closer or the same distance as The Paw Paw Subway location, but I will choose to go to the Paw Paw location much more often now, knowing that this lady works here. Do not go to the paw paw subway on Kalamazoo st. Very dirty in the back The tuna is NOT FRESHLY MADE! THEY HAVE LEAKS AND GUNK ALL OVER THERE FLOORS! They barley ever have any veggies An the meat stinks! Super bag the dish rags they use are super gross an haven't been replaced in over a week! Floors always dirty ect! Manager clocks in then leaves the store full of miners to fiend for themselfs.then asks a employee to clock her out when they leave in witch I thought u couldn't be clocked in unless you where physical there working Also they push you around like a slave. While the other employees get to take a break an eat go on there phones while you are handed dirty dishes after dirty dish ect ! Also they don't share tips and manager doesn't care an says nothing but okay ! read more

I will never go back to paw paw subway on Kalamazoo st. She was very chinsy on my meat even though she needed to charge me extra for the exact chicken the I wantd, service was not very good at all, the young lady that works there needed to pay better attention in training or at least have some respect for a customer wanting there food hot. after she took my food out of the toaster oven she asked me what I would like on it and I told her spinach and tomatoes, she put about 10 prices of spinach on it and went to put my tomatoes, that all the spinach she was going to put on a foot long until I said something, she left both sandwiches open on the on the ledge while she was putting veggies and condiments on the so they were cold and because I wasn't standing right there making sure she did it correctly my 2nd foot long didn't even have any condiments on it. So I started working at subway about a month ago and I thought I was doing pretty good. I was not very happy with how much I was getting payed, at 7.39 and hour. I was just finally getting the hang of it because im a slow learner. Today I wasnt feeling good at all so I asked if I could leave early, and My manager kenzie said I could leave and told me to clock out. So I did. Then, AFTER she told me to clock out, she tells me im fired and that she will not be rescheduling me. So this is a bad review. read more

I come here all the time and am almost always very pleased with my sandywhich, however today, I went in and asked for the American club, the girl making my sub lumped on the meat only putting turkey on half, I then proceeded to ask to get turkey on the other half. At check out the price was unusually high and when I asked why it was higher than normal it was because I got charged for additional meat when I simply asked for my sub to have the meat it's supposed to have. Not to pleased with this experience. read more

Terrible place to work. Don't be surprised if you get food poisoning here. No one would date the meatballs and would just add the outdated meat to the new cambroe. Told me I had position as a shift leader for weeks, then found out from HR that it wasn't true. Terrible owners to work for. read more

It looks like a normal Subway, except that the door is propped open. Probably because it was a nice cool day and it doesn't seem like a bad idea until you see a fly land on your food. When my wife brought it to the attention of the... sandwich artist??? She said, "what do you want me to do?"; which I don't think is the proper way to respond in such a situation. But, thinking back, she was probably asking if we wanted another sandwich or if we were going to ditch the place. In hindsight, we should have left, but we didn't. A 1-star move on my part because when I went to fill my drink there was a butt load of flies on the wall. This place would get zero stars if possible. Passing on this place will be one of the few times you will feel good about eating a burger instead. read more

Visits to the subway often require an extended period waiting in line. The store closes at 10 PM. At 9 PM this evening I called to place an order for pick up over the phone. I let the phone ring at least 15 times and tried several times to call and the phone was never answered. Customer service does not seem to be a priority at this location. read more

I like the food, but when I was using the bathroom a male walked out of the men's room immediately after I heard a flush. That didn't leave any time for hand washing. Then back out front he wiped his dripping nose on this plastic glove. Let's work on hygiene training! read more
