The salad bar was simple but fresh, with finely chopped lettuce, plenty of dressings, and all the toppings you could want. But let's talk about the hot line because this is where Der Dutchman shines. Fried chicken that's crispy, juicy, and everything comfort food should be. Chicken and noodles that tasted like something grandma would make on a cold day. Honey ham and shredded roast beef that were both tender and flavorful. And of course--the true Midwest essentials--mashed potatoes, stuffing, and green beans. The kind of plate that warms you up before you even take a bite. The buffet is all-you-care-to-eat, and trust me, I cared to eat plenty. My wife and I both kept it simple with water and lemon, and our waitress didn't miss a beat--friendly, efficient, and on top of everything even with the crowd.
