I'm honestly surprised they are rated so low. Noodles and Company was my second job out of high school and I honestly loved working there. It wasn't just that my managers and co-workers were great people but I was honestly surprised at how fresh everything was. Everything would be cut, chopped and prepped the morning before we opened, there were never moldy vegetables or questionable meat, even the croutons and Rice Krispies were made in house. Anyways, this is supposed to be about the food; I ordered the Japanese pan noodles and a chicken noodle soup with some potstickers. My husband enjoyed his soup and my pan noodles were great as usual. I love the texture of the noodles especially since I can't seem to recreate it without my noodles getting too soft and mushy. The potstickers were okay, nothing to rave about, but no complaints either. This location specifically has always been clean every time I go and I've never had any issues with the staff being rude. They are always polite and with the insanity of tipping culture these days it's nice that they pay their employees a decent wage and they don't accept tips. read more

We enjoy eating inside because it is never too busy, and we love being able to refill our drinks. The restaurant has a similar aesthetic to panera. I read the other reviews, so my husband and I thought we'd try it. We went to their website (http://www.noodles.com) first, which was incredibly helpful. I printed out a PDF of the menu, we made our choices and I ran over to get carryout for a late lunch. He ordered the Pad Thai with chicken breast and I ordered the Wisconsin Mac & Cheese (no meat). Mine was good, but kinda bland. But hey, it's just plain mac n' cheese. I bet it's a hit with the kiddos - would definitely be a safe bet if your kids love most other restaurant's versions of it. If I weren't avoiding meat, I'd probably have ordered it with some chicken. I might add some tofu and veggies if I order it again. My husband said his was really good and he's looking forward to going back again soon. There are several other choices we both want to try. One of the great things about this place is that you can completely customize all of their basic creations. Don't like the veggies they picked? Swap them for others! Same thing with the noodles. Also, you can add your choice of meat or leave it meatless - many of the options are vegetarian (or could be made vegetarian by asking them to hold the egg). Or, add more veggies and/or cheese. Niiiice. A few other things that I liked...They use meats that haven't been treated with hormones and some of their food options are organic. Bonus that they offer tofu as a protein option. Thank you for the smart, healthy food! Portion sizes were great. I could see myself picking up two regular-sized bowls on the way home from work, adding some veggies and bread we've got at home as sides, and creating a family-sized dinner better than what we'd get at a full-service restaurant. And we'd end up with leftovers. They also offer cookies and Rice Krispie treats (both giant!), which we didn't try but I definitely will next time. I'm sure we'll be going back. I'm on the hunt for some yummy and healthy (but QUICK!) places to take our kids, now that we've given up the usual fast-food joints. Honestly, for my first try of Noodles and Company.. I wasn't really blown away. This could entirely be my fault, but for now it's 2.5 teetering towards 3 stars in my books. This location is nice, and nestled in the corner of a small strip mall off of Tuttle Crossing. I'm always on the hunt for a good place that makes some decent salads, and I assumed from their website that their salads would be pretty top notch. *Queue in disappointment sound clip* I ordered their Caesar salad, which is not like a real Caesar salad at all. The dressing is not tossed in the salad, but instead placed on the side. Another thing is that it was just really boring. I've had better Caesar salads at Wendy's. And alas... the thing that really kind of bothered me was that I paid over $10 for a Regular sized salad and drink, and after the end of my salad.. I was still pretty da'gone hungry. Not good. I'd come back for some actual 'Noodle' dishes in the future, and this is where I failed. I get it. It's like going to a steakhouse and complaining about the fish. I was so excited to find out that Noodles and Company had just opened up across from the Tuttle Mall! However, it is tucked away behind the Chipolte...a hidden drive separates the two, but opens up into a rather large parking lot. The new building is large and open- the exposed ceiling painted a neutral gold gives an airy yet industrial feel to the semi-fast food restaurant. We went around 7pm, there were not crowds and the staff was welcoming. When you first enter, you almost feel like you're in a cafeteria, but once you order that completely changes. The menu is divided into 3 types of cuisine- asian, mediterranean, and american. For the dishes you can choose from the small or regular being $3.95 and $5.95 respectfully. Then, you can add a protein for $2. My boyfriend and I both got the Indonesian Peanut Saute, in the regular size with chicken. They gave us a number, similar to Wolfgang Puck's Express, and told us our food would be ready in about 5 minutes. The interior design is very clean and modern. We sat at a booth inside, but there is a lovely patio at this location. In no time our food was brought to our table. I was surprised at the size of the portions, being much bigger than I expected. Our dish was rice noodles in a spicy peanut sauce with veggies topped with fresh spouts, cilantro, and lime. Everything was much fresher than I had anticipated. The chicken was not dry, and was seasoned nicely. My only complaint was that the noodles, while good, tasted more of an american spicy versus thai spicy. The peanut flavor didn't shine through as much, but it was tasty so I didn't mind. This location also does call-ahead order and pickup. This is convenient if you're on your way home, and just want something a little bit healthier than fast-food. Granted, while making noodles isn't terribly hard or time consuming, I would definitely enjoy coming back here to try some of their other entrees. read more

I've eaten here a lot since moving to the area. I like that the meals here are generally healthier than a lot of my other fast food options. The staff here has always been very fast and friendly to me - as good as you can ask for really, both when eating in and ordering takeout over the phone. Note that if you are eating in, the service is tip-free. It always makes me feel slightly guilty, since I really do appreciate the great job the staff here does. My wife and I are both fans of their food having gotten used to eating at another Noodles & Co. location while she was in college in Wisconsin. I tend to get the spicy food and she goes for the less fiery stuff. What I really like is that you can get the entire range from vegetarian, to meat, from bland to spicy, as well as hot soups (try the Thai curry soup!) that go down so well when the weather is cold outside. Our personal favorites these days are the Indonesian Peanut Saute with chicken breast for me (rice noodles stir-fried in spicy peanut sauce with broccoli, carrots, cabbage, Asian sprouts, cilantro, crushed peanuts and lime), and the Pesto Cavatappi with chicken breast for her (Curly pasta with basil pesto, garlic, mushrooms, tomato, wine, cream, Parmesan & parsley). When dining in we both tend to get root beer, so I haven't really tried anything else to drink from there. We tend to also get an order of the Pot stickers from time to time as an appetizer, and last month I tried their Sriracha Shrimp and loved it. Note that the shrimp dish is not an appetizer for anyone who does not like spicy foods! It was great for me though. I've eaten food from here almost a dozen times in the last three months (you eat out a lot when waiting for the moving company to arrive with your kitchen stuff), and while I have gotten some noodles that were a bit over-cooked and dry once in my takeout, the majority of times the food has always been great. I chose the Pesto Cavatappi with chicken. Yum-o! Even though I did not get the chance to go to the restaurant itself, I am only rating the restaurant based on the food. I plan to go to the restaurant soon to check it out. I've been to other Noodles locations (Clintonville, etc.) to meet people for our wedding last year, but never ate at there. Noodles is always a delicious choice for lunch, especially once fall arrives and you want something warm and cozy! This particular noodles is always on point. Their food is great, service is quick and friendly and the restaurant is very clean. If you want to sit outside and enjoy the weather they have one of the biggest patios in the area. I personally love the Med Salad with Chicken. The spicy yogurt sauce mixed with the fresh veggies, warm chicken and cold twirly noodles is one of those salads I'll go back for anytime! I also really enjoy their Tomato Basil soup. I branched out and tried the new Meatballs - HOLY CRAP - these little guys are dangerously good! I tried to get a picture but my friend (yeah I'll blame it on him) ate them too fast ;) If you go to Noodles definitely get these, just get a side if nothing else! I also tried the potstickers - do not get these. They were flat like pancakes and tasted awful. Ok..maybe not awful but I'm never ordering them again. There was no flavor. Big bummer. The restaurant location is back off of the main road so unless you are familiar with the area you may not know where it is. I go to this location about once or twice a week. The staff is always friendly and the food is always ready in 4-5 minutes. I like the steak stroganoff and the penne Rosa with shrimp (I ask for not spicy). Never had a bad order and I've been there 30-40 times at least.
