There have been some changes over the years in Plain City pizza offerings. Some places have closed, some have reinvented themselves. And now we have a chain. I know some people don't want them coming in, though McDonald's has been here for decades. And I love the pizza at the bowling alley. But I had to try this. I have a long history with Domino's, and during most of that time I have avoided eating there. Every once in awhile they change their recipe, or I just decide to give them another try, and so I go back. You know if you like Domino's pizza, probably, and so do I, so I decided to try something different. And it looks like they have expanded their menu, and they have quite a few things besides pizza. Pasta, sandwiches, wings, and "specialty chicken." I tried an Italian sub, and some chicken. The sub was good, not great. Decent bread, good meat and veggies, toasted just right. The chicken was a little unusual: chunks of breaded boneless chicken, topped with cheese and whatever toppings come on your selection. I got tomato bacon, and there were large chunks of both, plus some ham buried in the cheese. Hard to eat without a fork, and a bit messy even then, it was pretty good. Tender, tasty, and filling. It'd make a nice shareable appetizer, or meal. Service was good. There is plenty of parking, and a few tables inside. Prices are reasonable. There's no reason to avoid the other pizza places in town, but it might be nice changing it up once in awhile by coming here. read more

It's Domino's. If you want their pizza, and you want it delivered, it's perfect. Yes, there is better pizza, but Domino's is an icon and a welcome addition to Plain City. Our pizza arrived hot and on-time. It was made the way we asked, hand tossed, traditional red sauce with mozzarella and pepperoni, one half green pepper, onion and pineapple. The crust was browned perfectly. It had the right "bite" and was slightly chewy around the edges. They cut the slices all the way through so we didn't have to fight to get a slice. The cheese was melted and held the toppings in place. The box was not smashed; no cheese on the lid. It was just what we wanted and expected (see the picture). The delivery guy was courteous and friendly. There is a small delivery fee rolled into the cost, but I don't mind paying a delivery fee and a tip, especially when everything is done right. I ordered through the iPhone app, got notifications (even on my watch) as the order was received, entered the oven, headed out for delivery, and then a knock on the door when it arrived hot and fresh. No big deal, you say. But until this location opened, I couldn't get Domino's delivered in Plain City or New California. We could get carry out and bring it home to reheat, but that's not the same. The location is excellent, at the corner of Main Street and Route 42, so if you miss the nostalgia of picking up pizza to bring home, you can do that without having to drive as far. Don't like Domino's pizza? Well there's a reason the name is just *Domino's* now. They make more than just pizza. We've had their pasta, wings, boneless chicken, baked sandwiches, cheesy bread, and marble cookie brownies. They're all pretty good, and now can arrive almost magically at my door. I can't vouch for their Gluten Free crust yet, but I'm sure we'll try it. We'll still eat pizza at Jan & Tony's, or Ol' 42 Grub House (fka Adamo's) or Pizza Villa, or Plain City Lanes, or Pasquale's in Jerome Village, but real comfort food is ordering and paying on the sofa using the app or just by sending a pizza emoji, and having the doorbell ring as the pizza arrives on your doorstep. stopped in for a carry out small pepperoni pizza . the staff wasn't very friendly nor welcoming . i got the pizza when it was done and left . i planned to eat it for my supper that evening but the flavor was so sour tasting i had to throw it away after just a few bites . it wasn't fit to eat . i will never stop at the plain city dominoe's again . read more

Super annoyed. Ordered pizza from mobile app. Waited till it said it was ready for pick up in my car outside, went in to pay and grab my pizza. Was told they would bring it to me after it was done. Well, I waited an additional 15 mins in the car ( after it had said it was ready) before I went in and had to ask what the problem was. Turns out My pizza sat there the entire time. This is by far the worst Domino's I've ever had. Yes, Dominos is cheap chain pizza, but it's a decent late night option that you can normally expect consistency from. But not here. The "pizza tracker", a Domino's staple, did not function when I ordered delivery from this location. Both the pizza and the cheesy bread DID NOT HAVE the default garlic butter flavor on the crust. This, again, is a Domino's staple and essentially a requirement to elevate their mediocre fast food pizza into a solid, greasy late-night treat. I have ordered Dominos at least a couple dozen times in several different states in the past decade and this is the one and only time the garlic butter flavoring was not added. Toppings were skimpy. 2 sauce cups, one included with the cheesy bread and one ordered extra, were not delivered. Both items were undercooked. The delivery driver was a strange and unfriendly man who stayed entirely silent before getting upset that I did not properly place his pen back on the clipboard and then required me to grab the pizzas out of the delivery bag rather than grabbing them out himself. He ended this interaction by asking if I had signed the receipt in an accosting manner after watching me do so from less than 2 feet away. I had already pre-tipped 6$ on my 20$ order. Obviously no one expects gourmet from a Domino's, and as their employees are underpaid I would give anyone a second chance and look past a small mistake or imperfection. However, this order was messed up in enough ways that I feel comfortable saying employees at this location simply do not care about providing a decent pie to a paying (and tipping) customer. read more

Did you mean Vomino's? Everything from there is disgusting, unpalatable and not fit to eat. Sunday night's order was pep/cheese, came with cheese only. They screwed up, so what. Then the three subs, what in the exact F is so wrong with theses mouth breathing morons that they would pass that garbage as a sandwich, let alone even sell it. Didn't even have a bun, just the shittiest piece of dough brick you'd ever seen, almost zero in between. A few shreds of lettuce, some slivers of lunch meat, almost had cheese. They seriously need to order a sub from across the street, reverse engineer and get their shit together. I wouldn't have been happy to have been paid to eat that "Italian Sub" refuse. Frankly, I'm pissed that i paid to have such a hideous absolute inedible pile of garbage put on my plate. You know what it is. Ultra cheap pizza that tastes like cardboard dipped in ketchup. So many better places in town to get pizza.

I believe in buying from local establishments but when Domino's came to town it was a nice change. That didn't last long, though. The man who delivers pizza is the only reason for 2 stars, or I'd give this location 1 star. The wait is always longer than you're told, the food is mediocre and tastes and looks like it sits too long. When you place orders over the phone you are met with a woman who argues over the price because she refuses to give you the promotion over the phone. I've ordered online many times and in person and I've never had an issue ordering. Without fail, every time I have to order over the phone, something gets overcharged regardless of what you ordered. The poor delivery guy tries to mend fences and is great, but the customer service in house is terrible. I'll take my service elsewhere if I have to pay $20 for 1 or 2 medium pizzas that sat under a burner longer than it took to deliver it. read more
