I got off with my two year old and three month old to grab dinner and got turned away at the door at 830pm because the employee was mopping. it wasnt until I took a picture of him mopping and the stores hours to send to corporate that he comes to my car (after loading my kids back up) and says oh you have kids, come it's no problem. oh no it is because u saw my kids at the door, you just wanted to save yourself from being reported for turning away a customer with two kids. read more

This review is for Subway sandwich At 1803 E. Capitol Expressway The food is good. It is not too salty. Iris and Amen are The Best. They always smile and are happy to see you. The other people do not smile. I ask Iris and Amen To put the mayonnaise on the bread. I asked them N0T To put the mayonnaise on top of the tomatoes. If they put the mayonnaise on top of the tomatoes The mayonnaise slides out and makes a mess on my hands and my clothes. Iris and Amen Will also put the cheese on the side in a small bag. So I can enjoy eating it separately. They also asked me if I would like extra chicken, or extra tuna, or extra beef on my sandwich. They also put one in a bag to go And one in a tray to eat there. They remember to make sure I put in my phone number so I get my rewards points. I always give them a trip for going above and beyond. read more

Terrible customer service lady didn't understand me when I asked for 3 sandwiches and charged me for 4 once I told her respectfully she replied with "are you kidding me" then she proceeds to try and argue with my 16 year old sister. When we first walked in she was already rolling her eyes with other girl on shift. As someone who works in customer service, I am so disappointed. Everyone there is so rude and very short tempered and snippy. I wanted to use one of my coupons and the worker refused. He wouldn't let me get a word out without rushing me. They locked the doors early when someone was trying to come in and the actually laughed as he walked away. Only problem is that Indian lady who works at the front counter that gives every single customer attitude for no reason at all. She thrives off negativity and is rude when asking for a mobile order. I have presented a few different coupons to this location that have all been refused, and nearby locations take them no problem. I happily give them my business, not just for coupons but full price purchases as well. The employee I spoke with was rude and immediately said it was the owner's fault. I don't fault the employee for the terrible attitude, I would bet they deal with customers questioning them for a decision that's out of their control. Subway is Subway. You get a decent meal for a decent price. I'm not sure which employee everyone is complaining about, but the sandwich artist that helped us was kind, attentive, and affable! Guess we got lucky on this day! I tried the Chipotle Southwest Cheesesteak for the first time. It was pretty good! Clearly, I love vegetables, which is why my sandwich is always jam-packed with every veggie that is offered. I don't ever intentionally seek Subway, which is why it doesn't elicit a higher star rating from me. I only go when others want it. My first ever chain restaurant review because we got such great service. I had a veggie sub which was really yummy. My husband and son were starving so they asked the sandwich maker to be creative so they got a great chicken bacon sub. Looks like the owners were celebrating a re grand opening so they went out of their way to make sure they did Subway proud. I think that when owner give chain restaurants their personal touch, it changes your perception about what it means to own and operate restaurants. read more

Definitely Not coming back here again for Subway. Our first and last! Our server had a terrible attitude, even though we are probably one of the very first customers of the day. She was very stingy about the amount of veggies/cheese we received. She didn't fill up the little measuring try for the chicken and steak. It's like she tried cheat on it to save some for herself or something. My kids got foot longs, they each got so little veggies and meat! The most annoying thing is that a Steak and cheese should have the cheese melting over the steak but we couldn't even taste the cheese because she put 2 slices of cheese on it before she put them in the oven. One of our footlong doesn't have cheese because my 8 years old don't rat cheese. So I asked if I could have his cheese on my steak and she just staid at me and said "NO". I was like why? She just repeated "No". Maybe she just had a bad start of her day or something but if you're in the business with customer facing, you can't let it out to your customers unless you don't want them back. This is a standard looking subway. Not too much space, but about three or four tables for people to sit at and enjoy their sandwich. In the summer time, many of sandwich places are muggy for some reason. But this location actually had the AC blasting, which helped ease the wait. They do seem to be short staffed all the time, so if you have somewhere to be, or on a lunch break I wouldn't recommend Subway, they just don't move at an efficient enough pace. But if you don't mind a little of a wait, I'm sure they'll end your visit with a friendly smile. read more

Saw a grand opening sign while driving by and figured I'd stop in since I was hungry. Apparently it's not new, but more so a grand opening under new ownership! The gentleman that took care of me, I think is the owner, Indian guy, super cool. They have specials for the next two days so I got a pretty good deal, but a foot long and 30oz drink and get a free 6" sub free. I couldn't resist the raspberry cheesecake cookies so I bought 6!!!! Over all, customer service was exceptional, restaurant was clean and the bread I had was super fresh! I asked why they had bad reviews from before and he was kind enough to explain that those reviews are from before they took over this subway. I've been to many Subway's and this is the first time I've received such unacceptable customer service. From the moment I entered this store, the two cashiers were already bantering in Spanish and trying to pick between whose turn it was and left us waiting for about a good five minutes even though there were no other customers... Following this, I've noticed that they were constantly talking rather than focusing on what me and my family ordered. The lady constantly requestioned me on what I wanted on my sandwich and gave very mean glares while doing it. I had to raise my voice numerous times.. Very inconsistent, they fail to keep any employees. Which makes it hard for them to keep up with proper training. I usually let things slide if it happens a couple times, but there is one problem to another. I used to come here after work a lot and they can't keep employees for more than 3 months. I asked for a pastrami sandwich and did not get the right amount of meat because the young lady that was working tonight used her hands to put it on the bread, i asked her if she has the spoon that measures the amount of meat & with a bada attitude she said that they were already clean and did not want to get it dirty I decided not to argue with her so i kept ordering my sandwich. As a person who has been coming here since they opened this place up I can say that this place has really improved with the new owners. Every time I go my family and I are served very well. One of the owners is often there making sure everything runs smoothly, making sandwiches, greeting customers and he always makes sure everyone is happy with their order. The only complaint I have is that one specific employee was being rude to her coworker. You could tell that the other girl was new and still training. The new girl was doing a great job with my order but her coworker didn't seem to think so and not only snapped at her but decided to take over the rest of the order. As she took over she was rude to my husband as she finished up the order. We still like coming here we just try to avoid that lady specifically because she's rude to my husband about not speaking Spanish. I try to ignore it but she speaks to her coworker about my husband thinking we won't understand. He doesn't but I do. I haven't snapped at her yet but I feel like I will if she does it again. Let's get into the overview on Subway. The exterior has a clean design although was small, the interior was small as well, only seated about 25 people. The tidiness was semi-clean, some crumbs and napkins on the floor here and there. Let's get into the detailed explanations. Food quality The food was alright, not that great, but not that bad either. The only thing I really love is the jalapenos. The bread was burnt when you asked for it to be "heated". Notice, I wanted it heated, not burnt. The toppings were nice, a bit too little in my opinion. Avocados cost money... The bread was soggy about 5-10 minutes in from walking home, it was literally no longer burnt, but burnt and wet. The flavor was nice, I could taste everything, especially the jalapenos whenever I would bite down, but there were only about 4 jalapenos in each foot long sandwich. 1/5 of my toppings fell out of my sandwich. It is relatively close to Andrew P. Hill High School, which makes it fairly good for a close snacking opportunity. There are healthy options you can make your sandwich into, and meaty options as well. Customer and Employee Every time I would walk in, they would say "Welcome to Subway.". It's nice, but it would be nice if they gave a little upbeat to it since they say it in the same monotone voice like they're forced to. The employees speak English, but are not fluent at all. I had to repeat myself about 2-3 times to get the Italian Herbs and Cheese bread. They're fluent in Spanish however. Cleanliness and Evaluation Outside of the subway, there was a simple design. Just a flag with the name subway and posters listing of all current events and promotions. Inside was a bit dirty, tables are not regularly wiped, the soda station was a complete mess, soda spilled everywhere, straw coverings laid out, napkins on the table.
