I was in Lion Plaza and I noticed Cafes Quan close to Lion Market. I've been meaning to check them out. Parking is definitely better off hours in this plaza. The interior is nicely decorated and also seasonally decorated for Lunar New Year! A few tables and window stools to sit at. One unisex restroom only. Unfortunately, I was unable to try their sandwiches, but decided to get one of their drinks. Banana Matcha Einspanner (4/5). The banana foam was delicious and was a nice combination with the Matcha. Eat the cookie early unless you leave it in a break and stir it into your drink. Maybe that's the way. The drink was good but had too much ice in it and kinda pricey. I'll be back to try their banh mi and other drinks. Come support your local business.

Ordered the strawberry matcha- normal sweetness and regular ice. Omg no matcha flavor, tastes so bland, couldn't even taste the strawberry. I love the set up here, really nice. But the drinks were ehh.

Cafes Quan really knows how to make their viet coffee just right. We started off our Christmas morning with a nice iced cup of craft coffee & some delicious mini banh mi! Cafes Quan really knows how to decorate for the holidays. Right when we walked in, we were greeted by a HUGE, beautiful Christmas tree! We ordered the Mini Pork Floss and the Mini Pate bani mi. The bread is toasted to perfection. It has a great crunch on the outside but is still soft and fluffy on the inside. Paired with the savory pate, each rich bite will leave you wanting more. For coffee, we got the black coffee with coconut milk, Ube coffee, egg coffee, and coconut coffee. They all were a lovely dark roast. My favorite was the coconuts coffee because they add toasted coconut chips on top. Kudos to our cashier who was really patient with us while we kept changing our order because everything sounded so good!

I'd say it's a bit on the pricey end, but coffee in general is around $7 now. I asked what their bestseller was and order exactly that. The salted coffee was strong, the salty was concentrated in the cream top. I feel like you need to fix/let the coffee diffuse a bit otherwise it will just be strong. I enjoyed my drink! It was what I needed for a quick pick me up -- would come again to try their ube and other drinks!

Stopped by San Jose for some Vietnamese food and stumbled upon Cafes Quan, right as they were celebrating their 1-year anniversary with a special deal: $3.65 per drink for 365 days open -- love a good promo! We had already eaten breakfast at the nearby food court, but the aesthetic and vibe of this place immediately caught our attention. Ended up grabbing two drinks: - Chrysanthemum Longan Tea -- super refreshing herbal tea with floating longan fruit, chia seeds, and delicate chrysanthemum petals; light, floral, and perfect for cooling down - Salted Coffee -- stunning layered look with whipped cream on top and strong Vietnamese coffee below; rich, creamy, and bold with that signature kick The space is bright and modern with a clean black & white interior. One of the standout features is the wall art -- a series of unique sketches blending Parisian cafe vibes with Vietnamese charm: think bicycles, tea cups, berets, and towering coffee mugs. There are several two-seater tables plus bar seating along the window, ideal for catching up or solo work. Service was warm and friendly, and our drinks came out fast. Plenty of parking available in the surrounding plaza. They also serve banh mi and waffles, which I'll definitely be back for. Can't wait to return for my next Vietnamese coffee fix!

Annual visit to Lion Plaza for Lunar New Year shopping and enjoying viet coffee here. It's very clean and quiet here while the chaos with the parking outside. The drink came out fast and good as usual. This is like my tranquility shop from this plaza.

Parking is easy, space is ample, service is quick. Music is blasting but if you're into it, you're into it. We opted for the popular drinks: the egg coffee and the salted coffee. Both were good! The salted coffee was definitely the winner between the two. We'd return and would recommend if you're in the area.

Cute coffee shop and tried the banana cream matcha latte. It was my first time having a banana matcha, and it was pretty but didn't taste a whole lot of banana. Appreciated the biscoff cookie though I had to take it out to stir up the drink. Plenty of seating and lots of drink options. They also have banh mi for $4!

This was our first time at Cafes Quan. It was easy to find and parking was great! The shop was very bright, open and airy. There's plenty of seating available to sit and enjoy your drinks! The girl took our order. The Croc Waffles machine was broken. Bummed. So we just ordered drinks. We ordered the Banana Cream Matcha & Egg Coffee. Both drinks came in cute cups and looked amazing! They both didn't disappoint. My Egg Coffee was creamy and strong, just the way I like it! Next time we're in town, we'll be sure to go back! 10/10

Pick up a coffee drink here before going to the Lion Food court. - 4.8: The egg coffee is great. - 4.7: Ca phe sua da. The best I've found in this area. - 3.0: creme brulee matcha latte; the flavors didn't quite work together. - 3.0: The mini banh mi with pate and dried shrimp: OK. $4.

Happy hour just for the month of July 2025 (buy one get one free) between 4-6pm. Service was super friendly, the lady taking our order was very nice & attentive. The drinks are delicious, the chrysanthemum longan tea is super refreshing, good for hot sunny days. The signature drink is strong & definitely packs a punch of bitter taste at the end. The Croc shaped waffles are interesting... Has more salty than sweet taste, not really my vibe but my kids thought they were okay. Overall, not bad at all, good place to try at least once.

Cute cafe selling Vietnamese coffee drinks and mini banh mi. Comfy and casual spot with friendly service. Something to please every generation! Toddler review of the cheesy croc waffles: "I love it!" Millennial dad review of the cafe trung: "Oh yeaaaah" (Kevin from The Office) Vietnamese Grandpa review of the mini banh mi: "Original new "banh mi que" menu item, as in "baguette stick". Authentic flavor & smell, the red tiny shrimp, but cannot beat the regular size banh mi."

Shout out to NINA!!! If I already didn't love Cafes Quan before... you totally sealed the deal!! Thank You for your hospitality and extra kindness provided to my little one. YOU ABSOLUTELY MADE HER DAY [with that macaron]!! Since we were in the neighborhood my family and I decided to stop by for some drinks. This isn't our first rodeo with Cafes Quan so we already knew they would come through with some much needed, fire tasting caffeine. Purchases included: Cafe Trứng [egg coffee] Cafe Sữa Lá Dứa [pandan coffee] Trà Hoa Cúc Long Nhãn [Chrysanthemum Longan Tea] Egg coffee is amazing. If you are already a fan of this particular coffee or if you are a newbie... this drink is an absolute must!! This baby is a flavor bomb with each sip- rich, creamy, strong espresso punch, with a sweet custardiness that balances everything out. The pandan coffee totally reminded me of SoCal's Da Vien- and for those who know, KNOW!! This drink is the quintessential flavors of what you would expect in traditional Vietnamese coffee. Each sip will have your throat hit with strong coffee flavors & just about double the caffeine of your average cup of joe. The pandan provides a sweet, smooth, & deliciously floral note to offset the bitterness. Chrysanthemum longan tea is refreshing. This herbal tea is non caffeinated and greatly thirsty quenching. My toddler gives it her 2 thumbs of approval. 5/5 stars. Staff is great and the drinks are always delicious! Bonus points in my book because corners aren't being cut when it comes to quality ingredients. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Temperatures were just under 90 degrees Fahrenheit outside. The air conditioning was great in here, not freezing cold but cool enough to be comfortable. There were a few other tables of people with their laptops out, and I was excited to see that they have expanded since my last visit and added more seating for customers. The lotus milk tea is still one of my favorites in the whole city. We sat at a table so there was no outlet, but I can't remember if there were outlets along the walls for the booth seating. The WiFi worked well and if there was background music it was not being blasted loudly. I would definitely keep this spot top of mind if I needed a reliable spot to work remote again, especially since there is now more seating than there used to be. Fingers crossed that I will be able to attend their grand opening. While I like the cherry blossom concept behind it, it left me rather disappointed when it came to the service and making of the drinks. While the coffee shop felt spacious and more than enough space to accommodate everybody, it just felt rushed throughout the whole time I was there. Their drinks were another dimension. I got their EGGspresso Hanoi, which surprisingly, was not bad at all. I loved how consistent the egg batter was, and the consistency of the coffee was quite equal. I will be back to try their other drinks, and hoping that their customer service could improve just a little bit more. I know they have the potential, but being more courteous goes a very long way compared to being bland in attitude, obviously.

A little acid from the juicy tomato (not watery) salt and spices from the linguica, butter, and a light fluffy but crispy roll was amazing. Mazapan is subtle in general, so I kind of expected that, but I feel like it needed a little something extra to bring it out.. maybe caramel drizzle? The cookie butter latte was really good but definitely on the sweeter side I couldn't finish it, but if you love sweet coffee, you'll probably love it.
