But the inside is bright and clean. I was greeted as I walked in. The menu tells you what's in the sandwiches. So I ordered a "Got Beef" on sourdough, whole size, no peppers. The sandwich was very good. Lots of meat, and a nice balance of veggies. Price: $14.99 for a 7" sandwich. Received a free small cookie. Service was quick and professional. Sorta funny cause I was looking on Yelp to find a decent salad spot near my work & I was surprised to see a Mr. Pickle's in the area! I've only known of the one in Livermore when my husband used to live there. Although they have salads, I couldn't pass up getting a sandwich even with it being a half! I couldn't decide since they have so many options that sounds all so delicious, both hot & cold sandwiches. I saw that the vegan sandwich had a pesto aioli & I ended up making my own sandwich with turkey deli on dutch crunch without the usual condiments or onion. It was a pretty hefty half sandwich but so yummy with the pesto aioli. I always have to have some chips with my sandwich & they have a great selection. Forgot they give you a chocolate chip cookie too so that was a nice treat afterwards! Staff were so helpful, friendly & patient (I felt like I took longer than usual to order anything lol). The workers were all happy and just gave the place a great feel to be in. Customers were handled super quickly and the vibe and ambiance of the place was just a pleasure to be in. I was there Thur 5/23/24 at 2:30pm, I asked the woman behind the counter which one was her favorite and she recommended Mrs Pickle with the works and boy was she right. Soft bread stuffed with all the goodness of turkey, cheese, veggies & bacon (on the side for me). What really impressed me was her attention to details and service. Not only did she wrap my halves separately (because I mention I was sharing) but even have me an extra cookie for my Husband. First I have to address the service. It is so hard to find hard workers with a good work ethic these days. It's so hard that when you do see one, it's like seeing a unicorn- you can't help but stare and marvel at someone who is actually putting their all into their work. I don't know this workers name, but she has tattoos and a little bit of a scratchy voice but WOW. she makes an impact every time. She is so fast, multi-tasks to help others on the line, and is so friendly. She even noticed me talking to my son and took note of his name to say bye to him by name when we left. If this woman doesn't own the store, she should. She is going places. Bravo! Now to the rest of the review. (I haven't come across a hard worker working in customer service in years, maybe a decade so this all needed to be said.) My favorite sandwich here is the hot T. Turkey and cranberry and garlic sauce- it's crunchy, sweet, savory- delicious. And the free cookie always puts mr pickle about the rest. I arrived and was greeted as soon as I entered. The lady was preparing sandwiches but still asked if I as ready to order or if I had any questions of the menu. The generous portion of pastrami was not salty and complemented all the other ingredients. The Dutch Crunch bread had a nice crunch and wasn't hard. The regular was huge but I finished it. I didn't get a cookie with my sandwich but luckily had 3 extra ones that I had purchased. It was a sweet treat after the sandwich! I enjoyed everything I ordered. The shop is clean and there's tables indoors and outdoors. There is a variety of drinks and a good selection of chips. The customer service was good and welcoming. There's 3 workers behind the counter, and 3 groups in front of us. They urged us to use kiosk to order so they could focus on making sandwiches rather than taking orders, which is fine. The kiosk automatically added a tip without prompting a question, and showed me an updated total. I assumed it was tax and paid without looking closely. My fault. Frustrating to pay a tip for something that didn't provide any service or any human interaction, aside from doing their job of assembling the sandwich. There are only 4 spaces in this section so if you really want a sandwich and parking is full you have to park out on the street. We ordered 4 sandwiches: hot "T," Manhattan, Tom Turkey and their holiday special: hot dutch. All the workers were friendly and greeted everyone. We ordered at counter then walked over to the cashier to pay. There were a variety of bread and condiment options. We ordered the sandwiches with dutch crunch roll and "everything" condiment. The sandwiches also came with a cookie which was a nice surprise.
