Do not order online and expect for them to get the order right. Stoughton Subway screws it up every time.

Don't yuck on another's yum. This is my general motto when…read moreit comes to fast food restaurants. When it comes to fast food you should expect only a few things. Fast. Food. Relatively inexpensive and Consistency. For that last one-a whopper in Wisconsin should taste the same as a whopper in New Hampshire. Right? And generally it does. There are fast food chains I seek out when on the road and those I avoid at all costs. But I can honestly say I've eaten Popeyes no more than twice ever until today. I drive by, realized I hadn't eaten today and stopped in. It was spotlessly clean. Either by effort or new construction. No idea. But really clean. But then I stood at the counter to place my order for 3-4 minutes. No. There wasn't a line. The whole place was empty. And one team member was cleaning the dining area in full view of this waiting customer. Just. No. Service. Ooooo kkkkkk. Placed my order. 3 pc tenders with the spiciest sauce they offer (apparently buffalo) and coleslaw. Fine. Food arrives and I sit down. Now. Before dipping things into sauces it's worth trying alone. So I did. As a national chain I am sure that this franchise owner is in fact serving CHICKEN. And yes. I know the adage "everything tastes like chicken" (when it comes to weird meats). But. What do you do when CHICKEN doesn't taste like CHICKEN? Because this certainly did not. What did it taste like? Absolutely-frickin-lutely NOTHING. It tasted like air. It tasted like flavorless water. It tasted like-and I visually inspected it to make sure this wasn't actually true-Amazon shipping packing peanuts. This is exactly what their tenders taste like. Go ahead. On your next delivery just bite into one and it is exactly what this location's tenders taste like. Absolutely nothing. I used what was left of my buffalo sauce packet to try to dress up the coleslaw but to no avail which had the same complete lack of any flavor. It was all so tasteless, room temperature and worthless I kept asking myself "is this actually food?" I mean technically it is food-I think-but I could have just ordered wing sauce on Amazon for same day delivery and saved myself the trouble by dining on the packing peanuts with my newly delivered dip. Back to the rules. It wasn't fast. I'm not sure it's food. It wasn't expensive. I hope it's not consistent. But in case it is, it's my last visit to Popeyes. Edit. The "business owner" requested the location of the establishment. Despite this being plainly listed under the "view business" tab but sure. Here it is. 2440 State Highway 138, Stoughton, WI 53589

We wait at window, one comes, honk horn..no one. We drive around as the worker is sitting out in the dining room. We pull up to the drive through mic and before we can start to talk he launches into how bad he feels he forgot the fries. If he felt that bad, why did he not come to either window? Or any action besides go sit down? Let's talk food. The original sandwich is so good. Chicken moist/juicy. Breading is light. The fries were a bit soggy. We had to put in air fryer to crisp. The strawberry/cream pies are awesome! I've sent people there just for the pies!!

It's an utter shame how terrible Dane County is about making lake/water space accessible to the public (one thing Chicago does way better than Wisconisn, unfortunately), but Water Street Tavern totally gives me the waterfront dining fix. It's along the river, not the lake, which gives it a bit more of an intimate feel to it. Their outdoor space is absolutely beautiful and I highly recommend checking it out. We came here for our monthly fish fry, never having been here before. We came around 5:30p on a Friday and were told no indoor tables until about 8pm. It was a tad chilly out but we opted for the immediate outdoor table. There is a fireplace out there, but it's more aesthetic than anything, it provided no heat our way but we were find with sweaters. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and super fun to chat with. I wish they had your basic cod on the fish fry menu - and I was surprised they didn't - but I opted for the walleye instead. It's one very large piece but it was pretty good! Crunhcier breading but not excessive. I enjoyed the house old fashioned. I wish they had supper club boozy ice cream dessert drinks, but they don't so I opted for a cocktail as dessert instead. My dining mates got the cheesecake and ate the whole thing. We left around 7:15pm and it was empty inside, not sure what happened there, but either way I'm glad we ended up outside and I will definitely be back here more often now that I've discovered this wonderful place!

So we went for 11:30. I got the maple blueberry gimlet cocktail and was it amazing. For lunch she recommended the brunch burger. I am not a sunny side up girl but this was so good. The flavor was so fresh and enjoyed it all. So there was 4 people and funny enough two ordered the burger and 2 got the scrambled du jour. we were all happy with the picks. We also got some art-o-mat tokens. To be honest this is the reason we came to town. And the restaurant was a happy surprise. I can't wait to try dinner. Thanks for a great meal.

Ordered the Bacon Quarter Pounder meal, threw in two Double Cheeseburgers, two extra fries and a Mango Pineapple Smoothie like I was trying to get my guts rearranged in the least sexy way possible. Food The Bacon Quarter Pounder was thick. Like... disrespectful thick. Juicy, heavy, and it made me grip the steering wheel a little too hard while I was eating it in the parking lot. Every bite had me making sounds I usually save for when someone's actually got me pinned down. The two Double Cheeseburgers came in swinging -- stacked, greasy, and absolutely relentless. By the second one I was moaning with my mouth full and not even trying to hide it. The fries were hot and salty in a way that felt personal. The Mango Pineapple Smoothie was creamy, sweet, and gave me that final "I've been used" feeling at the end. I was so stuffed I had to sit there for ten minutes questioning every life choice that led me to this moment. Service The staff moved fast and didn't flinch when I ordered enough food to emotionally support a divorce. They handed me the bag like they knew exactly what they were doing to me. Professional. Slightly judgmental. I respect it. Ambiance Clean enough. Bright enough. The kind of lighting that makes you realize you're really out here deep-throating a burger in public at 8pm on a Wednesday. The booths are comfortable if you need to unbutton your pants and have a moment of silence for your dignity afterward. Final Verdict: It was so good it almost felt wrong. I left full, slightly ashamed, and weirdly satisfied -- basically the fast food version of a one-night stand. Would do it again. Might need to bring protection next time though (Tums). 4 stars because it was incredible... but now my stomach and I are no longer on speaking terms.

For 3 weeks now, without fail, I get all the way back home to realize that the bun for the mcgriddle is ROCK HARD! It's literally like chewing beef jerky! All their employees cannot understand English. I just think it's funny all the fast food places nowadays the workers think they deserve a higher wage! Let's first learn English, then get way better at getting an order right and maybe then you can talk about higher wages.....until then, I'll spend my hard earned money at Culver's or Kwik Trip
