They also make sandwiches from their deli meats which I have not tried. Their meat counter is well stocked with excellent cuts of steak, pork and chicken that you cannot get at most grocery stores and the prices reflect that quality. They also have some groceries and items you might find at many convenience stores. It is great to have this resource just down the road from us.

Oh rats! I was hoping this place'd be better…read more.. Driven past this on roadtrips many a time; decided to actually stop in and check it out on the most recent trip. I'd been drawn in by the silly rodent statue on top of the building, because I like touristy shops. Upon entry I immediately realized the place was kind of dingy and gross. We got there with about half an hour 'til closing and this fact certainly showed in the affect of all the employees. I was curious about sampling some of the cheeses, but all of the employees were apparently too busy getting ready to close to help us, so we didn't get to try any of the many varieties. It was a bit odd to me to have potential customers there in the store during business hours, and the employees are steadfastly ignoring our presence to turn off the lights and such. We took the hint, quickly used the restroom, made a small courtesy purchase, then left. Speaking of the restroom, the floors were really sticky. Eww. Noticed they had lots of signage up that they were hiring. Yeah, they should probably hire someone who gives AF, if I'm being really honest, cuz it seems to me this place probably was great at one point but has fallen into disrepair. I got a couple pieces of taffy and hubby got a bag of nuts. We could tell from the taste/texture that these items had been sitting for awhile. I'm not a proponent of wasting food, but if your store can't turn products around before they're expired, I recommend perhaps just not selling those things and stick to cheese... Anyway, reckon we'll try out another of the many cheese shops in Wisconsin next time we drive through. There's certainly plenty to choose from!

We were having a work "philly cheesesteak" dinner but needed a good spot to get takeout. We came to Crostini - ordering was super easy and our food was ready and waiting for us upon arrival. Staff was very friendly in our limited interaction. I don't love steak, so I got the philly chicken cheesesteak, and holy moly was this sandwich massive. I could barely even hold it together there was so much chicken going on there!! I ended up keeping all the chicken that naturally fell out of the sandwich as leftovers and put it over rice for a meal the next day. I loved that the sandwich had mushroom and peppers on it, having some veggie interaction made it feel healthy :) Especially considering I got a small french fry with it too (which was actually somewhat large). Ketchup was extra so I went without it and was perfectly happy eating my french fries without condiments. This place definitely still fills a void in the area and I highly recommend checking them out!

The sub sandwich comes rolled kind of like a wrap which I wasn't expecting but didn't impact the flavor of experience. The panini was huge and easily 2 meals. Fries were soooo good. Like stadium quality. And don't skip the nacho cheese if you like a classic cheese fry. Overall I'm sad we haven't tried them sooner!

Woodman's Market is a local Wisconsin brand of markets that puts every other market I have shopped at to shame. They are community focused and worker owned, which is really cool in today's corporate driven retail environment. In addition to their mission, they are solely grocery driven, meaning they focus on food, and lots of it...you will not find a wide variety of clothing, toys, seasonal items, etc...here, just food, lots and lots of food, and drinks. The store itself is MASSIVE, overwhelmingly so. However it is so thoughtfully laid out and spaced very well. Aisles are wide, sections are very clear and well defined and again, the selection is unreal. This is repeated throughout the store with every section from produce, veggies, snacks, frozen, meats, drinks, etc... In addition to the impressive variety of goods, Woodman's also has a gas station, service/lube station (oil changes), car wash and of course a well-stocked and good sized liquor store! Legit, everything. The store is well maintained conditionally and was very clean, inside and out. Service was top notch as well. From the cart attendance to the stock associate to the cashier...all were great! Overall, Woodman's Market is currently my favorite grocery store in the country. And I am honestly willing to throw hands over it. In addition to restaurants and other spaces I visit when in WI, Woodman's is always considered a priority stop!

For example, I know that I can usually find the cheese curds (something else we typically stop for to give to others back home) in the cases near the back wall. * It's clean. * There is a wide variety of items, including produce and locally made products. * The attached liquor store is also easy to find your way around in. Like others have mentioned, Woodman's does not take most credit cards, so be sure to have cash on hand.
