Well staff is very rude at this subway. We came in and we let them know that we have 5 ordering and 1 is paying for all. the guy kept allowing other people cut right in front of us and didnt apologize for it and you can see that others were uncomfortable about cutting but guy stayed to them "I don't care they can wait" and started taking to them and just chatting because they were all friends. When we went to pick it up the next day the food was ready put together really well and our staff enjoyed the sandwiches. Ordered a turkey sandwich to go, ordering along with two other people. In each case, our bread seemed a little dry and stale (I'm not saying that it turned bad, just simply that it wasn't fresh). This was surprising. Although I'm not a huge Subway fan, I've always had fresh bread. When I said that I was going to eat the sandwich later and wanted some condiment packets on the side, the guy gave me a large black tray typically used for salads and then squirted condiments inside and gave me a plastic knife to scoop that out later. Went to Subway on April, 12, 2023 at 6:10pm. The male employee that was working there was extremely rude and lied about having ran out of mustard and that they don't have any mustard left. When the second employee offered to get mustard in the back, the male employee huffed and puffed and threw a small fit over it. The male employee even muttered some insults under his breath as if I was the bad guy here. He ended up walking away and I had to reach over the counter to grab my sandwich. If I could give negative stars, I would. I've worked in the food industry for years and the customer service that the girl at the cash register gave (3:00pm on 8/18) was ridiculous. Outright laughing with her coworker and whispering about my sister, mom and I while I could see and hear everything. Honestly, how hard is it to be a decent human being while being nice to paying customers. Being rude was one thing; as she aggressively talked to my hard of hearing mom, while whispering extremely rude things about my sister and I. I don't usually leave reviews on places, and I've experienced a lot of bad customer service and horrible attitudes over the years. The lady working, come to find out is the manager, had the worst attitude I've possibly ever seen from an employee. She was extremely rude and clearly had no interest in doing the job. I've been going to this subway since they opened. Tonopah is a tourist stop so I know there will be a line and have gotten used to it when I go there on my lunch break from work. Lately there is a young African American lady who doesn't have an ounce of efficiency or sense of urgency no matter how long the line is. The first time I gave her the benefit of the doubt - maybe she's new. But that was a couple months ago and today is the third time I have left with no sandwich because she is SLOW as anything that is slowest of slow. Being as I used to run a subway I couldn't have been more disappointed in the service at this location. First and foremost the staff was incredibly slow as if they were sloths, secondly none of their stuff was prepped. I asked for a meatball sub and the meatballs were still in the microwave being heated up, I changed my mind to a tuna which I normally get lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and banana peppers, however, their bane was empty. They had no onions, the tomatoes were pretty much gone the ones that were left were the nasty ones that looked bad, the lettuce was minimal so I skipped almost all my veggies. As they were struggling up front the manager was in the back walking someone through something rather than taking a moment to help her crew and her new hire who was also struggling adapting to the cash register. We went to Subway because we knew we could get what we wanted and it's the same no matter what franchise we visit. We usually have a good experience at Subway and the staff provide good service most every time. This time we had a great experience with Joe who was kind helpful and went out of his way to make our sandwiches the way we wanted and did the special little extra things that we asked for as well. He put our tomatoes in a separate container and he put the sauce in separate containers for us as well. We had such great service from Joe that it made us want to visit again.
