    French dip with cheddar

OK, this place has been a great surprise all the way around ...... tried the Amber beer called Mucker Red Ale and it's fantastic ...... should be distributed nationwide. At the suggestion of the bartender I tried the French dip with cheddar and it did not disappoint. A lot of meat and a lot of flavor. Atmosphere is similar to many small town locations ...... staff was great and very attentive. Give it a try if you're in the area

When you get near here for beer Tonopah Brewing is the place. They have beer, wine and beer gear just for you. Oh and a tv or two. Not even talking about the incredible service. All around a great place for us visitors and obviously locals. Drop in for a visit.

It's been awhile since we've passed through here and we were really looking forward to bbq and beer. They no longer offer BBQ and the burgers were so well cooked they were chewy. The guacamole on the burger we ordered was brown and looked old and tasted funky. We also ordered a side salad on one of the burgers and it was wilted. The French dip was a positive and pretty tasty, as well as the cheese curds. The staff was nice and helpful and the beer selection was broad. The interior hadn't changed at all with its classic vibe, but we were disappointed in the loss of such a great BBQ stop

Brewmaster Burger + bacon with Onion Rings

We detoured our trip to spend a night in Tonopah for the purpose of getting Burnt ends and a beer at Tonopah Brewing. Imagine our surprise when there were no smokers!! But...they have amazing burgers!! I had the Baja Burger and hubby had the Brewmaster burger + bacon. I had the Mucker Red Ale and he had the Ninja vs Kong Hazy IPA. Burgers were HUGE & Juicy. Fries were plentiful crispy and yummy. Onions rings were huge crunchy and perfect. (Think I tasted a hint of cornmeal in the batter). Great beers , great burgers, comfortable atmosphere, friendly service. We will probably detour again. P.S. The spicy fry sauce is YUMMY.

    Cherry 51 ~ tart & slightly sweet.

Cold craft beer and delicious bar food. We were just driving through and needed an escape from the brutal summer heat. The AC was on full blast, music was playing, and we were warmly greeted as we stepped inside. This business is a tribute to those who came to Tonopah in search of fortune many years ago. Cheers to everyone who found themselves here. I'm not a beer girl at all but I can get down with some of the light and fruity ones. The Mango Tango is a light lager and was very refreshing. The Cherry 51 a Belgian with brewed cherries was tart and slightly sweet. I'd order both of these again. We split the Muckers French Dip sandwich and it was very filling. It came with a good amount of meat, cheese, horseradish cream, caramelized onions, au jus, and a very fresh side salad. Pro tip ~ FREE beer with Yelp checkin. Thank you so much!

Excellent IPA. And the pizza crust is as good as it gets. This is a must stop if you are traveling through Tonopah!

Main courses were really good. Soda was okay still. 100% recommend the lemonade. The location is very eye pleasing. Servers are really nice and helpful.

Tri-tip, brisket, and rib ribs. Came with two sides and a huge slab of cornbread! The ribs and the brisket do not need any sauce whatsoever. The smoke ring on both of them was perfect and gave it perfectly good smoked flavor throughout. Hopefully it won't take me another 35 years to swing through Bishop to try this again! Service was great you order at the counter and they take your food to you. Quite a good bottled beer selection.

The meal also came with a piece of cornbread. The cost of the sampler is $28. Brisket had a decent bark, although im not certain both sides of the brisket was seasoned but it was pretty tender. The smoke on the brisket was pretty aggressive, leaving ALMOST a bitter taste. Thankfully, I like a pretty aggressive smoke. Nice smoke flavor on the tri tip but also seemed to lack seasoning. Was otherwise pretty good. The sausage ended up tasting pretty good! The beans might have been ever so slightly undercooked, but otherwise tasted good. The mac and cheese says it is baked, but honestly, its hard to tell aside from the burnt cheese on top. Other than that, it was alright. The best part of the experience was the servers. They were super friendly and regularly checked on the guests. All in all, the food was just ok. Not sure it would be my first choice in eating spots in town though, especially considering the prices.

Potato salad was good and mac was nice and creamy! We love the spicy bbq sauce as well! Overall everything was delicious and food came out fast. The location was clean and the female cashier was very nice, which is why my review is two stars and not one. The food was odd. I can't understand why anyone is rating this highly except that people are happy when they're on vacation and food tastes better that way. We shared a platter and were completely underwhelmed by all of the meat. The rolls and mac and cheese were okay and that's what I ended up filling up on because the meat was depressing. The two spicy BBQ sauces both had a weird metallic flavor. There was a TV showing a slideshow of dogs at the restaurant eating BBQ from someone wearing black latex gloves which was kind of cute until I started wondering if they change their gloves after feeding all these dogs from them. But more importantly, I saw a sign complaining about inflation and fuel prices being the reason for an increase in costs, along with Trump merchandise for sale by the drinks. A tiny bit of online digging confirmed that this business was fully MAGA in the past with flags and signs but got a bit quieter about it in 2024. I believe it's important to know if and when we're spending our money to support people who actively vote for the destruction of the planet, human rights, and the fabric of our country. I absolutely would not have spent any money here if I had known. **Update** Before I wrote my review, I had already seen that the business owner appears very sensitive to any critique. He seems compelled to respond to anyone he views as "attacking his business," or in my case, being "hurtful," on a website built for customers to review businesses, which is what I did. This business owner has chosen to suggest that I must be wrong for not liking the food, because other people give it five stars. He then says the Trump hot sauce he's selling is just "for the kick of it," I suppose just like some folks sell items with Confederate flags or swastikas because it's such a fun little joke. Hilarious! My concerns about hygiene with food prep staff hand-feeding barbecue to customers' dogs were not addressed in his response. Finally, rather than denouncing any suggestions of political allegiance to Trump or specifically addressing the claim that this business was apparently displaying Trump signs prior to 2024, he calls me "immature" and that people like me are why Trump won and that I'm going to be targeted and I should "be careful." He has said all of this on a publicly viewable website that many potential customers will check before coming to his restaurant. That sure sounds like something to consider before eating food from this place!

Hubby and I stopped in for a late lunch on our journey home after a quick trip to Disneyland the day prior. It's a long drive, so Bishop is about halfway to home. We don't like traveling with leftovers, so we often share a meal. Yesterday was the Bluey Armstrong burger with a side of the garlic Parmesan fries. The burger was great! Juicy, cooked to perfection, and so flavorful. But the fries? For the love of all that's good those fries sent me on a trip straight to heaven. I wouldn't say I'm a fry snob, but I do know what I like, and these were possibly the best garlic parm fries I've ever had.
