My husband and I had the opportunity to try out their new healthy menu of turkey and bacon sub sandwiches today. This menu item has a strict ingredients and you can't add or change the ingredients. However you can omit any ingredients you don't want. I had the turkey sub without changing anything. A bunch of turkey deli slices, 2 slices of bacons, 2 small chunks of mozzarella cheese, 2 slices of tomato, red onion on a wheat bun toasted, then top with spinach, mayonnaise and a small scoop of mashed avocado. Four Stars for everything but.... So we order online then pick up from subway. Everything has always gone well and the order is correct with good sandwiches. The only reason for four stars instead of five is every time I get home it takes forever to figure out the sandwiches. Who's is who's. It's bothered me enough to do this review because we order quite a few sandwiches at once. Minimum of five on each order and sometimes several more than that. Our kids will have friends over and if you can imagine opening each sandwich to figure out who gets what, it's sometimes chaos. Lol. Tonight the same thing. I did look on the receipt and each individual sandwich is numbered but the sandwiches are not!! Went here today when a Subway store in Vancouver failed us. There was one girl working the counter, and two ladies in line ahead of me. The girl masterfully handled us by multitasking and working our orders as they could. After my sandwich was started, about ten people lined up to place orders. The girl working showed no stress about this, and quickly made sandwiches for the two ladies before me and I. Later, when I had lunch with my wife, the sandwiches were very good. For some unexplained reason it is this Subway in Washougal seems to always be out of the meatballs. It would seem to me, that continually running out of this item should prompt someone to consider increasing the quantity of that item so they do not run out at 7 o'clock at night. This Subway is consistently super clean, noticeably different than others, and the staff is incredible! I have been eating here for lunch at least once a week for the last 2years & frequently ordering multiple sandwiches to feed everyone at my small office. The multi-tasking and sandwich making perfection these guys (and ladies!!) do is impressive! A well-oiled machine and always VERY nice while they're at it! Walking into this location, the first thing I noticed was how clean the place was. Now it wasn't incredibly busy but all the tables were really clean and the floors looked great. By far the cleanest subway I've been into. The man behind the counter greeted me with the biggest smile and asked how my day was going. He wasn't just asking because that's part of his job to be nice, he was really truly sincere and made eye contact the entire time. I chatted with him for a bit while he made my 2 sandwiches and I just got a big smile on my face because his kindness was just so contagious. Paid for my lunches and headed back to work. I was in washougal subway tonight and I have worked for subway I have 9 yrs experience when did they stop washing their hands at subway I know when I worked there even though we wore gloves we still had to wash our hands. I know there is a 3 second rule that hardly ever happens at this store as well. the 3 second rule u must greet the customer with in 3 seconds of them entering the store! 3 people working and it still took for ever for someone to come help the customer behind us. it is hard to find a good subway these days read more

The only thing they have going is the basic: good food! However, let's take a look behind the scenes and talk about the new manager: Christina Wilson. To begin, she claims she is loosing many employees because "they can't deal with change." I suppose her definition of change involves poor listening skills (ordering a large short for a person who wore a small), and being irresponsible when following through with tasks. The biggest is setting an example in completing duties during her morning shift. I personally witness her leave piles of dishes for the evening crew( pre-closing), when we are supposed to clean dishes only from cookie prep, bread prep, and clearing the bain. I personally volunteered to do the dishes that were not my job. Christina also held me over time my first day to do the dishes that were from her prior shift. She kept me on the schedule for six days, but only being there to train me for one before letting me go, because "I couldn't handle the rush." On my first day, all she taught me was to cut bread, just threw me to the sandwich making, and briefly taught me to wrap sandwiches. My coworkers, who were younger than me had to train me the most. They have run the store on there own, while being underaged, which is illegal. This store can face major problems if they continue with this manager. Who, also could have failed an inspection because she failed to supply a full uniform. Even for herself, as she had wore yoga pants to work. She sets a poor standard for management and there is no wonder more employees are needed, if she can't properly train and inform an employee of weaknesses and work with them at least more than once before letting them go. However, she may not be able to hire more people if she doesn't call anyone back from interviews, which I have heard many personal testimonies. Subway workers are treated terribly in his store, especially by their superior, which can effect customer service. Just reconsider before you go to those Subway. I have also on my first day witness the manager arguing with a customer over money back, but the customer was clearly right. Don't waste your time here, it's run mainly by unprofessionals. read more

We came in at 5pm, no fresh bread. The bread they gave us was cold and dry. I asked for my chicken to be heated up and when I bit into my sandwich, the chicken was still frozen. I tried to be nice about it and just eat my sandwich, but frozen chicken made me want to vomit. I told them the chicken was still frozen and the girl asked me what I think she should do. She ended up taking my sandwich, I assumed she would remake it, but instead open up my sandwich and took the chicken out to reheat. Once it was hot, she put it back in the partially eaten sandwich and then gave it back to me to finish. Needless to say i did not finish it... my wife's bread was so stale she thought it was days old. We spent over $25 for my family's food and we didn't even finish half of it. We had to throw most of it away. After we were getting ready to leave, a new customer came in and they proactively told him that fresh bread was about 30 minutes away from being done.
