Friday night fish fry. All you can eat cod & french fries. I've been coming here for years for their fried chicken because it was so delicious. Bone and roasted you can't beat it. Today I had a hankering for fish and chips. wow, their battery is super light and crunchy. The fish is tender, flaky and well cooked. I added a coleslaw, which was yummy. You have to have that with the fish :-) service was really attentive and friendly. Now I have two reasons to come here besides the neighborhood atmosphere and the bar with great beers on top, fish, fry, and chicken! The history of this place speaks for itself the walls are lined with Bigfoot pictures and lots of elaborate neon bar signs that I love to see, the bar food is exceptional and by that I mean fried onion rings gizzards yes gizzards they are absolutely perfect not chewy not rubbery just like my mom used to make and delicious, they have the best taco salad in the entire area. I have been wanting to check this place out for months now. I've heard such great things about the burgers and fish and chip Fridays! Finally made it in this last Friday and was surprised at how busy it was. The bar is pretty small, but they had pool tables and they also started setting up for karaoke by the time we were leaving. Staff was friendly, 3 different workers checked on us throughout our meal. We had burger and tots, large jojos and the fish and chips. Everything was good. The burger came with a really small amount of tots compared to other places. The fish and chips were good, pretty meaty. Will definitely come back again to try other things. The name will draw you in, the local hospitality will get you to stay. A no frills watering hole with bar and table seating, great menu options, plenty of screens and billiards to keep you entertained. There was a group celebrating a birthday while I was there with several tables pulled together. The weather was perfect off the water with a cool breeze blowing through the doors that were propped open on either side. The area has a breathtaking view of the water from above, and while making a stop in town a local made the suggestion to stop here if I had time to kill. I popped in to check it out and grab a bite before getting on the road. The gentleman on the barstool next to me ordered a junior mushroom and Swiss burger, because "He wasn't that hungry." It sounded pretty good, but I decided on the halibut 'burger' with fries. Their non-alcoholic choices were a Porter or O'Douls. I chose the Porter, which turned out to be a Deschutes Black Butte brewed in Bend, and was pleasantly surprised. My new friend chatted me up while I devoured my loaded fish sandwich and went through multiple napkins, and nodded occasionally. We spoke of the insanity of AI and technology advancing so fast as the bar quickly filled up. I motioned for my check while the mister said he enjoyed talking and asked if I came in often. Normally when you find these little local bars and walk in, everybody stares at you and makes you feel uncomfortable..not here! It was packed on a football Sunday, super friendly people and staff! We had the 2 for 1 tacos, a basket of tots and side of smoked weenies and 3 beers with a soda for $29!! All the food looks delish like good small town food! I came in to get breakfast with my medical alert service dog and was very rudely denied and told to leave. I was astonished to say the least at the complete lack or care and knowledge by the waitress who told me to leave. As soon as I entered the building she immediately told me no he wasn't allowed in here. I informed her he is my medical alert service dog. She replied back "he doesn't have his stuff (I'm assuming she meant a "vest" yet service dogs are not legally required to wear one. He had a labeled collar on) and it's breakfast time, there's no where for you to sit with him cause he has to be under the table." I pointed out his collar and told her that he is able to tuck under a chair if needed and as I tried to lightly educate her she abruptly pointed her finger at the door and told me to leave. There was a sign on the door that said "sorry only service animals allowed" but apparently not. It is illegal to deny a service animal into an establishment just "because it's breakfast time and there's no room". I will most definitely not be returning again and will tell other people also. I hope they educate their staff and management on ADA laws. read more

We were just passing through and the restaurant we planned to eat at had construction going on in the area so we found Big Foot Inn and we are glad we did! This is like a local Cheers bar. We were here for breakfast and you could tell it is a local meeting place. The waitstaff was super friendly, bantering with locals and us newbies alike. We just ordered basic breakfasts and were pleased to have real potatoes served and the eggs cooked as ordered. Definitely not standard frozen deep fried bar food. Went on recommendation from my friend's family and we all instantly regretted it! Ridiculously loud, hectic, and very little service. Food looked terrible, soggy, and loaded with grease. Price point for pretty much everything was too high, considering how undercooked the fish looked and how sad the fries were. It's like they didn't even bother to drain the fish after frying it, it was so greasy that my friend bit into it and got squirted with fryer oil. Either they changed owners or we came at a bad time (apparently 7:00 on a Friday is too late for a business that closes at 2am?), but idk how they got such good ratings. Running out of fish on the one day they offer "all you can eat" fish and chips is just poor planning, but the treatment my friends got was even worse. They totally ignored me when I sat down a few minutes after my friends--didn't offer me water, a menu, didn't ask if I wanted anything. Not sure why our experience was so awful compared to the other reviews but we're probably never going back. read more

My wife and I have been going to the Big Foot Inn aka The Foot for years now. We got turned on to it after I asked our real estate agent back in 03/04 where a guy could get the best burger in town. She was right and I love the place, the owners have become like extended family to us. The dbl bacon burger basket with tots is my fave in the PNW and even though I'm not a big fan of fish, the Friday Night Fish & Chips is the bomb...we go and enjoy every chance we get! I look forward to the return of karaoke as we had some wonderful times there hanging out with our friends and extended family on many a Friday Nights. read more

Our first couple of visits left me cold, but the third was much better with both the bartender and chef being very hospitable and welcoming ... HOOAH! The place is a bit of a dive, which I like, and the prices are fair. Two bacon cheese burgers with fries and two beers for a little over $30 ain't a bad deal. They have TVs with sports, a pool table, seven or eight small tables, and a bar with a nice selection of reasonably priced craft beers at just $4.75 a pint. The menu is not extensive with burgers and fries taking center stage. The bacon cheeseburger is very good and a decent value if you get the basket with fries ($10.50 - $9.00 for just the burger). A side (large basket) of fries is $4. The clientele have not been friendly, having received a much warmer welcome at another dive on the other side of town (it's a small town, so there are only two sides), the food being more diverse and better there, and it is closer to home, so a continued warm reception at Big Foot Inn would make the trip (and the food) much more palatable. Friend and I had lunch here after shopping the Pendleton outlet (just down the block). It was an All You Can Eat fish Friday and the place was packed. Come here for breakfast and the price and food amount are good. However the service sucks. The older lady waitress will forget you. I think she is here more to be social with her friends then work. Iv watched her clean tables of people that are gone rather then fill my coffee or take my credit card that's been on the table 30 minutes easy now. Didn't mind this bar, would never really choose it first to go to because of the community there. But they are pretty rude here one of the ladies was nice younger brown hair. But the old lady was wearing pink was super disrespectful to our group. And we were out to celebrate my brothers birthday. Would explain but honestly she's not worth it. Would never go back and would tell everyone that this is not the place to go in town. They're over priced for the drinks and definitely not worth it.
