I can eat Friday night fish fry
    Lea G.

Friday night fish fry. All you can eat cod & french fries. I've been coming here for years for their fried chicken because it was so delicious. Bone and roasted you can't beat it. Today I had a hankering for fish and chips. wow, their battery is super light and crunchy. The fish is tender, flaky and well cooked. I added a coleslaw, which was yummy. You have to have that with the fish :-) service was really attentive and friendly. Now I have two reasons to come here besides the neighborhood atmosphere and the bar with great beers on top, fish, fry, and chicken! Check it out you won't be sorry you have a great happy hour as well

The history of this place speaks for itself the walls are lined with Bigfoot pictures and lots of elaborate neon bar signs that I love to see, the bar food is exceptional and by that I mean fried onion rings gizzards yes gizzards they are absolutely perfect not chewy not rubbery just like my mom used to make and delicious, they have the best taco salad in the entire area. Big burgers great tacos and fish fridays are great. staff is nice too love this place

I have been wanting to check this place out for months now. I've heard such great things about the burgers and fish and chip Fridays! Finally made it in this last Friday and was surprised at how busy it was. The bar is pretty small, but they had pool tables and they also started setting up for karaoke by the time we were leaving. Staff was friendly, 3 different workers checked on us throughout our meal. We had burger and tots, large jojos and the fish and chips. Everything was good. The burger came with a really small amount of tots compared to other places. The fish and chips were good, pretty meaty. Will definitely come back again to try other things. Saw they had gizzards on the menu and I definitely wanna try that and the fried chicken next time!

The name will draw you in, the local hospitality will get you to stay. A no frills watering hole with bar and table seating, great menu options, plenty of screens and billiards to keep you entertained. There was a group celebrating a birthday while I was there with several tables pulled together. The weather was perfect off the water with a cool breeze blowing through the doors that were propped open on either side. The area has a breathtaking view of the water from above, and while making a stop in town a local made the suggestion to stop here if I had time to kill. I popped in to check it out and grab a bite before getting on the road. The gentleman on the barstool next to me ordered a junior mushroom and Swiss burger, because "He wasn't that hungry." It sounded pretty good, but I decided on the halibut 'burger' with fries. Their non-alcoholic choices were a Porter or O'Douls. I chose the Porter, which turned out to be a Deschutes Black Butte brewed in Bend, and was pleasantly surprised. My new friend chatted me up while I devoured my loaded fish sandwich and went through multiple napkins, and nodded occasionally. We spoke of the insanity of AI and technology advancing so fast as the bar quickly filled up. I motioned for my check while the mister said he enjoyed talking and asked if I came in often. "Just passing through, it was a pleasure to meet you!" I said as I generously tipped and thanked them for the hospitality on my way out the door. Until next time!

    Tacos and smoked weenies!

Normally when you find these little local bars and walk in, everybody stares at you and makes you feel uncomfortable..not here! It was packed on a football Sunday, super friendly people and staff! We had the 2 for 1 tacos, a basket of tots and side of smoked weenies and 3 beers with a soda for $29!! All the food looks delish like good small town food! It's definitely a small local dive bar with scattered tables but we loved it and highly recommend!

Stopped in the Big Foot Inn today for burgers a few drinks and to watch the game in a crowd setting. Classic neighborhood bar setting, in a good way, great friendly service, good Americana food and a nostalgic setting. Great spot to grab a bite too if you are visiting the Pendleton Company store right across the street. Glad we stopped in.

Halloween outside the bigfoot mural. Best bar burgers! Great atmosphere and wonderful people.

The "Shoug" needed a new microbrew with a good food menu since Amnesia Brewing closed in 2017. Better yet 54-40 is brewed in Clark County. The Columbian ran a nice article on the co-owners Bolt and Amy Minister and we decided to check it out. https://www.columbian.com/news/2025/feb/01/54-40-brewing-opens-second-pub-with-full-menu-in-washougal/ It's in the Washougal Safeway strip mall close to Hwy 14. It's got a Sports Bar look and feel with enough room for medium large parties. Can't wait to try the pinball machine. :-) We got the large (16") supreme pizza $30 and the Yacht Rocker IPA $7.50. My oh my, that was an awesome pizza. I have a wood fired pizza oven in my back yard and make Napoli style pizzas frequently. Their pizza is made in a gas oven with a ceramic floor so doesn't have char and smoke that a wood oven gives you but the pizza crust is thin, crisp, and tasty. They really cut and timed the onions and bell peppers well with a little crunch, not the usual mushy. Yeah, the IPA was good too but the pizza stole the show. The wait staff was great... really nice and attentive and the manager was friendly and informative. The only downside is the pricing. It's average priced for these inflationary times but too expensive for me to eat here frequently. All that said, it's on my rotation for entertaining out-of-town guests. Highly recommended. Check it out!

Kascadia Brewery & Public House - Great Pizza, But Not Quite a TravelValue™…read more Kascadia may call itself a brewery and public house, but unless you're there for pizza or beer, your options are going to be a bit thin. Sure, they have burgers, but this is clearly a pizza-and-pint operation. I ordered a 16" sausage pizza ($24) and, to be fair, it was really good--crispy crust, flavorful sausage, solid execution all around. That said, $24 for a pizza? I've been living in Europe for the past four years, and over there, some of the best pizza on Earth costs between $5 and $10. I get it--I'm not in Naples anymore, Toto. But still ... it stings. It's a welcome addition to Washougal's food scene, no doubt about that. But here's a suggestion: offer delivery. I only live five minutes away, but I had to drag myself out of the house to pick up my pizza--and I'm sick. If it's not an emergency, I don't go out, and believe me, this wasn't one. So while it's not a CombatCritic TravelValue™, it is a solid, tasty pizza conveniently close to home. CombatCritic Gives Kascadia Brewery & Public House 6 Bombs Out Of 10 ... More Bombs Are Better!

Knowledgeable, warm, and genuinely excited about what they're pouring -- not in a rehearsed way, but in the "let me tell you exactly why this beer is interesting" way that you only get when people actually love where they work. Personally, I'm not a beer guy but my friends who are very selective about their beer choices all say Trap Door has an excellent and varied selection to meet anyone's expectation. They also do cocktails, and they take them seriously. The full bar with upscale craft cocktails feels like a thoughtful addition rather than an afterthought, which means you can bring friends who aren't beer people and everyone leaves happy. The service is excellent. It's obvious the staff enjoys their job and the customers by their enthusiasm, professionalism and friendliness. The kitchen is solid and offers an interesting variety of options that are unique, well prepared and most importantly - very tasty. TL;DR: Exceptional service, award-winning beer, great cocktails and food... Come thirsty, leave a regular.

I've honestly had fresher oysters in Idaho. We also ordered the seafood sampler, so we got to try a good portion of what they had available from the market, and nothing really stood out.
