HORRIBLE operations. Attempted to eat here a few weeks ago and upon entering was told that they ran out of pho broth. Mind you this is a whole Vietnamese restaurant that primarily serves pho soup. Giving them the benefit of the doubt, made a second attempt to return to this place about 45 minutes prior to close and was met with "it's to go only". Being fully aware of the time, and knowing how quickly we can finish - we confirmed that they aren't seating and the gals response was "well it's 30 minutes before closing" as if we weren't aware. This is one the only pho restaurant in this little town hence the attempted return, but the inconsistent operations, and service is significantly lacking and quite awful. Everything was fresh and, maybe not surprising since the name says it all, danglicious!! I wasn't feeling well and sent my daughter to pick up our order. The passion fruit juice--AhMazing! The fried egg ban mi--Yum! We ordered 2 pho. Mine had shedded chicken and it was everything I hoped for in taste. Even my pickier eaters enjoyed the egg rolls and the passion juice. My husband and I have been coming to this spot ever since we moved here a year and a half ago--and lemme tell ya, it's consistently THE BEST PHO we've had in Washington and Oregon. The broth is rich and flavorful, everything always feels fresh, and the portions are generous. You can tell they really care about quality here. The owner is awesome and kind, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Plus, there's always parking outside (shoutout to Washougal for that!). Danglicious Vietnamese Kitchen - More Dang than Delicious I was excited to find a new Vietnamese spot in the neighborhood after returning home, so I stopped in to grab lunch, hopeful and hungry. That enthusiasm didn't last long. I asked the young man at the counter about Chả Giò--you know, the classic fried Vietnamese egg rolls served with lettuce wraps, herbs, and dipping sauce. He stared at me like I'd just recited the quadratic formula in ancient Sanskrit. Not exactly confidence-inspiring. I also inquired whether they offered any Vietnamese curries, another staple of the cuisine. "No," he said flatly. Well, so much for that. Still clinging to optimism, I ordered what they called Chả Giò ($9.95). What I received: four tiny rolls, a sad sliver of lettuce, and absolutely no dipping sauce. Maybe they thought blandness was a flavor profile? I also ordered a B2 - Bánh Mì Heo Nướng (grilled pork sandwich) for $9.95, but when I got home, I found a steaming bowl of P2 - Phở Tái (rare beef eye round steak) instead. Apparently, I had paid $18.95 for the honor. Now I know why my order rang up to well over $30... WHAT?! The phở was mediocre at best--bland broth, forgettable meat, and nowhere near worth twenty bucks. And to top it off, I never got the sandwich I actually wanted. There are not many good food options in the Washougal/ camas area, so glad there is something new to try! It is a bit on the pricey side for pho. I am glad they have a more inclusive recipe for the Bún bò Huế since it doesn't have shrimp paste/ shellfish. However, it was lacking spiciness. They should consider adding some chili oil on the table or asking for spicy level. If you don't want spicy, the broth is rich and healing! Perfect comfort meal for the winter. The pork banh mi was good and the pate was flavorful, but I was not impressed with the pickled daikon & carrots. It felt shredded and not julienned. I like to bite into the sandwich and have a juicy, pickled crunch. I would like to come back and try their milk tea. I would be nice to have a place to hangout close by home instead of driving across the river to get good boba. read more

Our party of 8 tried several things on the menu and we all enjoyed it and had a great experience! I ordered the special combination pho and also tried the house special rice noodles and both were delicious. The staff offered chili crisp oil which I gladly accepted because I like all things spicy. My brother-in-law ordered banhmi and the spring rolls which were larger than expected and he said was very yummy. I ordered dry vermicelli noodles for the kiddos and we ended up trading because they also like my soup noodles. The place had an inviting casual ambience and seated our group comfortably. There's a bookshelf with many books and toys/Rubik's cube for kids which is a thoughtful touch! Friendly staff and super nice owners. It was also easy to find parking for us. I've started coming here regularly since it opened. The Pho is good and so are the various rice and vermicelli dishes. I really wish I could give this place 4.5, but rounding up given that, for the region, this place excels. I go to many pho places where I can't get a bahn mi and a pho. This place offers both. I would love to see them offer a grilled pork spring roll. That would take me right back to Garden Grove, CA! read more

Ordered 2 lemongrass tofu dishes. The worst we have ever had. Quantity was small, I am female with a small appetite and was not enough even for me. Dry tofu with hardly any lemongrass. If you are charging $17 for a tofu dish at least give a decent quantity. I love eating Bun Bo Hue here, just like in my hometown Danang. The taste is light, not too strong, and there is a layer of rare lean steak on top, making the soup sweeter. The service is great, friendly and respectful. I will come back to try other dishes. read more

All the employees are great. They are friendly and helpful. The ambiance is pleasant and attractive. It should be a great restaurant. The problem is the steak in the pho, it is as tough as an old shoe. They need to find a better meat vendor and they probably need to slice the steak thinner. I was so excited to try out this new place in Washougal and have to report that my experience there was mixed on the food. The positives - service was courteous, prompt, and attentive; My grilled pork bahn mi came out on a crispy baguette and had all the good trimmings inside. It was delicious. The negatives - the special combination pho was just plain terrible - came out with a pile of black pepper in the center of the bowl, piled on top; all of the meat in the pho was quite tough, gray in color, and had a taste that was off to me; I did not eat most of it. The only included protein that was palatable to me was the quartered meatball. The pho lacked the tripe and tendon that restaurants typically include in a combination pho. The flavor of the broth was just off - extremely full of black pepper flakes, not clear, not slightly sweet and savory like at other local Pho joints (like Pho Le). We love pho and eat it often. We are well familiar with what it should taste like, and it has been a favorite for the past 20 years. This was unlike any pho I have had, in a bad way. I would never order that again here. The bahn mi I would get again. It was on par with local bahn mi shops. So, a mixed experience when it came to food. read more
