It is small, but the magic and atmosphere are just as big as the Carmel location! I got my usual pick 2 combo of the chicken salad sandwich and the tomato soup. We each got our own pot of tea. I do miss the larger pots they had a couple years ago, but the smaller pot is good for one person. I finished off my meal with the earl's court cake! It's my favorite and always tastes good later on too! And of course service was phenomenal! Our server was so lovely!

That could not be more true. We both did Pick Two: I got a chicken salad sandwich and my mother got a turkey and cheese both with the soup of the day which was butternut squash. Soup was OK, sandwiches were OK. I got a side of chips (not made in-house) for $3. My daughter was upset when we arrived bc she was napping in the car and she proceeded to cry for about the first 10 minutes so, I walked around with her to calm her before I sat down since it's so cramped to try not to disturb everyone else. She was not happy the entire time so we were trying to calm her and feed her. Cake slices and cheesecake are $17-20 each. They're large but other reviews say dry and taste old. That's pricey. We skipped dessert at those prices based on the quality of the rest of our meal... I got an $8 peppermint mocha which was good but, served in the smallest teacup imaginable. It's extremely small inside. Like, uncomfortable. Granted, I had a lot of items with my baby and her and we were seated at a table for two with her in my lap but it was close quarters and the waitresses were squeezing between the chairs to walk around. They have about 6 tables inside with a small event private room in back. Our waitress was kind but, the manager or owner was off-putting. She went to every single table seated except ours to ask how their meal was and experience and, when time to pay, she wanted to personally ring me up to ensure we left in a hurry. I get it, some places are not meant for babies, but, since it's billed specifically to kids, I thought this was. Nope, I was wrong. (She's 19 months - so, too young for this bougie of an establishment clearly) I would not come back at all unless it was for my, older daughter to have a birthday cake experience and get a couple cute pics. As far as instagram-worthy goes, they know what they're doing. As far as quality of food. It's like a 2.5 stars. I wish we'd waited and walked into the larger one in Carmel and just shopped and got some cookies to go!

Broad Ripple Village is going through the same changes that other neighborhoods are seeing (luxury apartment complexes, shuttering of small businesses, raising of rents forcing businesses out of mixed-use space). Over the past two years we've lived here, I've been frequenting nearly all of the places here. Except Filigree. Until now. Filigree Bakery- off Carrollton Avenue, adjacent to Fresh Thyme Market and where there used to be a Lou Malnati's. The word Filigree itself refers to the intricate metalwork used in jewerly, the lace-like patterns of gold and silver one might see in Indian jewerly. Small but intricate. The feeling of warmth out of something tiny. The space is small, but the filling in the macarons were not. I got a 6-pack of macarons- picking out two Pistachio (natural bias), strawberry, strawberry with lime, and other some others. The amount of filling in the macarons was more than I would get at other places. So definitely very filling. I'm not a macaron connoisseur. Suffice to say, I liked it. The shop was nice. We need businesses like this in BR.

Sometimes you just need a good donut to warm up a bitter cold day! I did an order of TooGoodToGo…read morefor pickup today. Best way to start your morning is knowing you have an order of sweets to pick up. Forgot to take a pic of what I received. Variety of donuts and one chocolate croissant. They were a hit! I should've warmed mine up for a few seconds but it was still soft either way. Walked in about 7:20 and I assume the workers have to be there early to set up, but a smile or a good morning really does go a long way in customer service. It was quiet and a customer was leaving as I walked in. It seemed calm and inviting but felt like I was bothering the worker by walking in. Either way the donuts were good and they have a variety of more options on their menu that I would love to try sometime in the future.

The power bowl had just the right amount of salty and savory that I wanted this morning. You can never go wrong with a bacon, egg and cheese croissant! It was fairly quiet in here today, but outside on the patio, everyone was enjoying the sunshine. We will definitely be back!
