Absolutely worth the hype! I finally made it to new The Cheesecake Lady location across from The Children's Museum, and I'm already planning my next visit. I tried the banana pudding cinnamon roll, the cheesecake brownie, and a large cheesecake cup with banana cheesecake and vanilla cheesecake loaded with chocolate chips and vanilla wafers. Every single bite was amazing. What surprised me most was the cheesecake brownie. I didn't expect it to steal the show, but wow! My husband mentioned stopping by here because he's heard so much about it and I wanted a sweet treat. We walked in and the 2 ladies sort of explained how it works as far as ordering. I thought they would have ideas like Dairy Queen. So you pick the size and the price includes 2 toppings (there is a list) and you can add more. I went with lemon strawberry cheesecake. They put graham cracker on the bottom then the cheesecake and topped it with strawberry crunch. The cheesecake cake was more whipped and not dense. It was okay. I expected a texture like refrigerator cheese cake. Sort of a mousse like texture. All three were very much like the viscosity of honey. Not quite a liquid not quite a solid. There are cookers where you pick from the available options. She sells out quick when she opens of the popular limited stuff. She's open 12-6 and closed on sun and mon. They sold out quick the first few nights and were hard to get. She had just stocked Bonded Oil one night last week, and my boyfriend was on his way home from work at the same time. He stopped by there and picked up some. She has many flavors/choice's to choose from, and he got the peach cobbler, strawberry crunch, and banana pudding cheesecakes. The woman who helped was really nice! I got the option of 2 6oz cups or 1 12oz cup. I got 2 6oz cups of the cookies n cream and the chocolate peanut butter brownie. Bother were good! But the square snap containers were tough to open. I also got a 16oz cup of banana pudding which was okay. I don't love banana pudding so this might just be a preference. I've heard a lot of great things about The Cheesecake Lady--maybe that's why my expectations were so high. Unfortunately, it didn't make the mark for me. I tried the Banana Pudding Cheesecake and the Classic Cherry. The banana lacked a banana flavor and the cherry only had one small cherry on top with very little syrup with it. Both seemed to mostly just be a sweetened blended cream cheese. I'm actually familiar with the style of cheesecake so I wasn't thrown off by that. At the price point, I'm not sure I'll be returning but if I see her out and about at an event--I might grab one again! read more

What a cute little store! Beautiful color work inside with a cute setup for taking pictures for those who are dying for a photoshoot spot. The lady behind the counter was lovely and welcoming, talking to us all about the products in store! We ended up walking out with a no bake strawberry cheesecake and a slice of peanut butter nutter butter cheesecake, as well as some freeze dried cheesecake bites. All were delicious! I'm not a cheesecake fan but thought the strawberry was really something special. My husband, the real cheesecake lover, adored everything and would have happily bought out that store. Parking was complicated and a little frustrating but we did go on a Saturday at prime time for lunch. Be prepared to do a few circles. You'll most likely be parallel parking so be prepared for that. How do you say, "no" to cheesecake? You don't! I was a little hesitant at first about going because of no parking; however, once you get there, this is not a problem. The store is very cute especially with the photo setup in the corner. I ended up choosing the two 6oz cheesecakes (banana bread and caramel) and then decided that I couldn't walk away with just two and ended up purchasing cookies and cream, and the turtle flavor.
