Went in to get a drink at the bar. 3/4 full, but the bartender was engaged in idle banter with patrons at the other end. A good ten minutes later she meandered down my way, gazed directly into my eyes, and kept walking. Came back by again and made eye contact. Someone ought to find this person another line of work. DoorDash, Grubhub, Yelp all great ideas for eats, but deciding on which to use and how long can one wait is a arduous process! We settled on here as DoorDash said they'd deliver and they did. Quickly and efficiently satisfied our order. Nothing missing unlike some other restaurants who say they QC everything. Hot and fresh . Double taping the chowder was a super nice touch. Ordered on GrubHub which this restaurant is a part of - my meal kept being delayed - got it- was cold and not edible - called the SPG and got zero customer service - told me to take it up with GrubHub - even though I support my local restaurant will no longer - shame on the whoever the woman was speaking to me - telling me to "understand what my rights are with GrubHub" instead of trying to make my order correct - $24 and could not eat the meal I ordered and told it was my problem - NEVER WILL RETURN TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT! Sudbury Point Grill's dishes seem like concepts of dishes communicated over a terrible phone connection. I ordered delivery. The wedge salad came without dressing. The primavera was bland, tasteless, swimming in juice and with a bit of melted cheese in place of primavera sauce. Never again. read more

Another trip, and another amazing experience in the books!! This second time around, we took our entire family of five for an early Mother's Day Dinner (around 4:30pm). We were promptly seated and greeted in one of their more open areas of the restaurant. The room was packed with TV's (perfect for me as Game 7 of Celtics / 76ers was on!). I cannot stress enough how good their Marinated Steak Tips were. Absolutely out of this world. The in house marinade was ridiculous, and the tips themselves were perfectly cooked - super tender with a nice light char on the outside. As I'm writing this I seriously want to head over there and get more. They are 2 for 2 with me as far as spot on service, quality and atmosphere. Under new ownership, the Sudbury Point Grill took over the former Conrad's Restaurant in Sudbury. They are the same owners of Franco's Trattoria. At the time of this posting, the Sudbury Point Grill was still offering the Conrad's menu in addition to their smaller developing specials menu. Their official menu is now on their website. The place still looks the same as before with the spacious dining areas with booths and tables and the bar area with seating at the bar, high top tables, and a long table with high seating across from the bar. Some booths have their own small flatscreen TV. There is also outdoor patio seating too. I stopped in for a later dinner on the second night of business and the place was busy in the bar area with plenty of open tables in the adjacent dining areas. I was seated in a booth and given both Conrad's and Point Grill menus. Since I've eaten at Conrad's already, I decided to choose from the pricier Point Grill menu for the purpose of this posting, which had very limited food selections compared to the bigger Conrad's menu. They were still building their own menu, which will have some of the favorites from the Conrad's menu. I started out with an ice water and the PEI Mussels ($14.99 plus tax) which was served very hot in a big bowl, 2 dozen steamed mussels with onions, cherry tomatoes, garlic, scallions, in a tomato white wine sauce, very good and filling. For dinner, the Chicken Fajitas ($16.99 plus tax) came out on a sizzling iron skillet with strips of grilled chicken, seasonings, peppers, and onions, plus rice pilaf, sour cream, guacamole, pico de Gallo, lettuce, 3 warm soft corn tortillas on the side. I took my time to enjoy this good sized meal. When I was done, I passed on the dessert (Conrads dessert menu) and got the check which was $34.11 with tax and before tip. The service was acceptable and prompt. The waiter brought the mussels first and then the fajitas with the fixings afterwards. He checked on me a few times and cleared the used plates and shells away. I will keep an eye out as the Sudbury Point Grill menu evolves with more choices incorporating items from the Conrad's menu and Franco's Trattoria menu. read more

Went back for fourth time and I'm afraid it's got to be last. Food was good as always but the quality and fare is nothing that far above the 99. The prices gave me a nose bleed! I admit I'm used to a sub or fast food takeout-kind-of-night but since when did prices in a sit-down restaurant get THIS high? Never going back!! I called at 12:30 and made a 2:00pm reservation for outside. The receptionist seemed nice and said she'd call me if something opened up sooner. I replied that we'd just be there for 2pm. She called be at 1:40 and said a table opened up (did she think I was waiting in the parking lot?!). Came here for lunch and sat at the bar. This is the second time I've been here and the service is always great. Food is not as successful. Last time I had the fried calamari which was decent, but I asked for no peppers and it came out with peppers anyway. This time I had the turkey club with potato salad as a side. The potato salad was much better than expected- not wet and soupy. The turkey club was disappointing. I asked for no cheese (which the kitchen obliged) and no mayo. The tomatoes were nice considering this time of year. But the turkey was what I would consider as sub par cold cut quality. Very salty. See photo. I would not order it next time. It was only about 55 degrees outside, so we were surprised how cold the restaurant was. When I mentioned it, the waiter said the owner won't let them put it up more than a degree or two. The calamari and sangria were good, but that's where it ended. Rather than ordering burgers, which I'm sure most of the bar patrons did, I ordered the baked stuffed shrimp, and the stuffing was gooey like soft mashed potatoes...I took off the stuffing and ate the shrimp. I simply do not see the allure of the Sudbury Point grill. The food is mediocre, the drinks are generic, and the prices are high. I've been here several times, had skunky beer and a bad cocktail once, the next time my prime rib was tough and seriously salty. Plus, that dinner was close to $100 for an adult and child with two drinks two meals no apps plus desert. There are better places in town for the same prices and other places just outside that are cheaper. Came for dinner at 7pm on a Thursday. We come here often as we live closeby. Usually good, but tonight, we sat opposite the bar and took 15 minutes before a server approached us and took our drink order which then took quite a while to arrive. Dinner was good but when we order additional drink, my wife had to go to the bar to pick it up as it was just sitting there undelivered. When Ann Marie or April are on bar, service is excellent. Tonight bar was totally disfunctional. If this had been our first visit, we would not return; fortunately prior visits were much better and we will return. Maybe this was an off night, but staff standing around while customers wait for service and drinks is not a good thing. We had a party in the function room for my sister's surprise birthday party!! Rodrigo , the owner, was very accommodating and easy to work with. We ordered Steak Tips, Chicken Ziti Broccoli, Seafood Primavera. mashed potatoes, and roasted vegetables. We also had some apps set up before. The room is a great for an event of our size 45-50 but if you had more people than that, warn your guest it will take a little bit of time to get your drinks at first but it does get better as the night goes. We played music throughout the room which was a great addition and also able to hook up a computer for a live stream at the start of our event. Looks like The Point Grill may still be getting their footing under new ownership. Here are the highs and lows of our experience. The food: my husbands burger was great and cooked to his liking. He enjoyed it greatly including the fries. My steak tips were tasty but what the chef needs to learn is that when they are all different sizes, they will cook at different rates. I ordered medium so the middles size tips were perfect, the larger sizes were rare-medium rare and the smaller ones were well done. Seems like a rookie mistake, no biggie but something to improve. The service: We waited way too long for our drinks. The waiter also never came over til we were almost done with our dinners to check in. He was busy so we were understanding. We were most turned off by the bus boy bringing the bucket to the tables to clear them and putting the bucket ON the tables to clear them. I've worked in the food industry and this is a huge no no. Everyone was super nice and it was busy so these are just some tips to get better. We'll come back and try again in the future. We hope our feedback is helpful. read more

The previous restaurant, Konrad's was our go-to restaurant. We have tried Sudbury Point at least 3 times and each visit is consistently worse. I took a large group last night. The place was at best, slight to moderately busy. From start to finish was over 3 hours. The food was ok at best, but the service was not good. Sadly, this will be our last visit. read more

We thought we'd try this place . It seems to go through a lot of owners . It didn't look like there was any changes from when it was Conrads . The waiter was very good . He seemed like he knew what he was doing . The loaded skins were very tasty . My wife got the prime rib with mixed veggies . She thought it was delicious . I got the mixed grill with steak tips , sausage , and teriyaki chicken . All were excellent . The fries were just like the ones at Plumb Tomato in Marlboro which are great ! We went in for a birthday lunch, no one was standing at the host desk, so we walked in the bar, the bartender made eye contact didn't say anything, didn't come out to greet us, there was another server working in the back of the restaurant, didn't come say hello to us or anything. Disappointing dinner. It was nice that the seafood platter came with a choice of fried or broiled, but having ordered broiled it came with quite a bit of oil. Haddock tasted like an imposter though the shrimp and scallops were fresh and delicious. The clam boat appetizer lacked taste and was also a bit on the oily side though French fries were crisp and yummy. Red sangria seemed watered down. The bartenders are friendly but not intrusive. They will allow you to special order your food (I get low sodium so no sauces, seasoning, etc) and it still tastes great. Fresh salads.
