Initially I was attracted because of the cute atmosphere that is super Instagramable but I just so happened to stop by during their 1 year anniversary (Congrats!) The owner of this cute bakery and chefs of the creations we around thanking their customers and gave our treats with explanations of why they were created. It was almost like a fine dinning experience at a local bakery The coffee is spot on and the pastries were delectable But what really added the cherry on top was knowing how much the owners care about their customers and the mission behind their operation. Came here on a weekday afternoon with a few friends and our children (about 13 in our group). It was pretty empty and we sat in the outdoor courtyard area, adults enjoyed coffee while the kids played. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, bringing our food/drinks outside and extra napkins. I ordered a cinnamon latte and a pastry; both were delicious! Service -Purposely Rude x 2 Workers Food - 1/2 Filled Coffee Cup and Cold I eat out 5-7 meals a week. Mainly in Dallas but in other states as well. I'm an empathetic guy and give grace to those in the service industry. These people are the rudest bunch of ingrates I have encountered. It's not the first time it has happened at the location. I paid $37 for three people to have danishes and coffee and the coffee was cold and the cups were 1/2 filled. If you don't want the business then close your doors. My family and I stopped by for iced coffees to start our day. I loved my blueberry matcha! It was so refreshing. I can taste the perfect amount of blueberry not taking away from the matcha. The owners have put some serious thought into the aesthetics of this place, but they didn't skimp on the food! I haven't had a croissant this good since I left Paris! They also have plenty variations of the standard croissant. My husbands favorite was the everything bagel croissant. The salted chocolate chip cookie is what dreams are made of - soft, buttery, and enough salt for dynamic flavor. There's a ton of seating in the modestly sized space with an expansive back patio which I'll be happy to use when summers over. Having a great little bakery makes this side of Dallas feel more vibrant and hip. We're from Houston but stopped in here on our way out. We have found a new coffee/bakery in Dallas! This place was amazing. We walked in and it smelled amazing and was really clean. The young man helping us was patient with us since it was our first time in. My partner and I each got a salted caramel latte, one cold, one hot and that was some GOOD coffee. If you drink coffee on the regular you know good coffee and ok coffee, this coffee is amazing. My son got the iced chai tea and he loved it as well. We also got raspberry danishes and a sandwich "the Larry", everything was fresh and extremely tasty. The star of the show is pictured in this picture, the mini chocolate chip cookies. They were buttery and crisp and just delicious. So good my partner made me run back in and get 2 more bags of them. All in all, this is a gem. Good food. Good service and people. Great coffee. A lovely new addition to the Lovers and Inwood neighborhood, offering French pastries and other bakery treats. I was able to chat with one of the co-owners and learned that they were originally from NYC. They were quite concerned on whether they picked the right location for business. I assured them they have nothing to fear, as this neighborhood as the money to spend on fancy pastries and coffee. The Brioche feiuletee it totally worth getting. Layers upon layers of flaky buttery pastry that melts in your mouth. It initially feels decadent, but it ends up feeling lighter than I thought. I think it's the lemon cream in the middle that makes it feel like it will be too much, but it's actually not. Their Chocolate chip cookies are also a great choice. These are on the softer side, which I can appreciate, but I personally enjoy a crispier edge. The chocolate they are using is top notch. They use big flakes of sea salt that enhance everything. While I didn't eat the Apricot danish with sage bits, I was told it was delicious. The apricot was tart and not at all sweet. The sage engaged the savory aspect while giving some lift in its floral aromas. read more

The last time I had a coffee this bad was in a filthy gas station, in 1975 at 4am in Tempe, Arizona. The burnt out stale disinterested drip was remarkably the same as the S&S cup. I'm beyond happy a great bakery finally opened up nearby me. I went in with my boys and we got the apricot verbena danish, zucchini bread, and blueberry lemon muffin. All were delicious and you can taste the freshness and love that was used to baked these pastries/goodies. I'll definitely visit again to try other items on their menu. I'm not a coffee drinker so I ordered off the menu an iced half green tea and half lemonade while my boys got frozen hot chocolate. For reference, I have become quite a coffee aficionado the past few years as I've learned about bean roast and the craft of steaming milk and pulling a solid shot of espresso for a beautiful cup of coffee. I've been looking forward to trying this cute cafe out as the yelp photos showed a lot of promise. I ordered their seasonal pumpkin spice latte - hot even though the day was 90+ degrees outside but I purposely always do this when I try a new coffeeshop since their ability to pull a solid shot and perfectly steam their milk says a lot about the coffee. Unfortunately the barista accidentally made a cold latte. When I casually mentioned it to her that I ordered a hot latte, instead of getting a "sorry, I'll make you another one" I received a rude eye roll. She then proceeded to put the milk on and steam it to the point that the machine started to screech and once that was done, she literally took the milk and dumped it in one swoop into the cup and pushed it at me. I drove 35 minutes for this cup of coffee and have never received such rude service, especially at a place where I expected better quality service. Please retrain your staff. I did not give her an attitude or expressed any anger when my latte was initially made incorrectly so not really sure why I received such an attitude in return. Unfortunately I will never know if the coffee here is any good because my half assed coffee was burning hot and tasted like sh!t. read more

This place is so cute and so good and the staff was super sweet. Next time I'll have to try their baked goods because their croissants and little donuts looked amazing. The chai was super good (classic yummy chai) and the brown sugar sage flavoring was good too. The latte had a slight burnt taste as the after taste but sometimes coffee shops are like that so not sure if it was the flavoring or espresso itself. It wasn't too strong of a taste though. Overall I really liked it outside of that and will definitely be back again. For the size of coffees we got, I don't remember the last time we've gotten two drinks under $13 (especially with the alternate milk). read more

Checked off another coffee shop on my list of individually owned places to try. To start, the parking on this area of Lover's never has been ideal, but the parking gods were with me today. I liked the look of this shop right away: clean & minimalist...but it is a tad small for my claustrophobic taste. I nabbed the only available table and people started steadily coming in, so it might be a challenge to find a table during peak times. The drink I got was delicious (sage brown sugar latte), breakfast taco so-so (the bottom was soggy), pastry was wonderful (a croissant with pear and vanilla inside). I must say that the girl who took my order wasn't the friendliest though. I guess I'm spoiled since they're usually warm and eager to make suggestions. Looking for a local coffee shop while down in the area? I was, so I stoped in. Grabbed a Sugar and Sage latte coffee hot and a blue berry muffin and something I cant remember the name of. The stafff was very friendly and very helpful with my order since it was my first time in. The thing to order, I can't remember the name - but it is basically a croissant baked in sugar. You will recognize it by its look. It's folded into a cute little square shape. Go get one!! I'll make the trip back for one. Stopped by this newish cafe for the first time yesterday. I think it may be my new favorite Lovers Lane cafe! I ordered a chai tea latte with almond milk and it was the perfect blend of sweet and spice (chair can be tricky because some places make it too sweet or too spicy). I also ordered their cinnamon roll and it was delicious! I savored every bite! The team was friendly and welcoming and I enjoyed interacting with them. Now for coffee and pasties I tried the cinnamon roll pastry which was very tasty and I also had one of their fall drinks, the toasted marshmallow latte. I thought the latte was good but it wasn't too much different from a regular latte and I do wish there was a marshmallow in it lol. Filled doughnut,chocolate croissant, sausage egg and cheese brioche and today the lemon blueberry muffin all super tasty. I met Sabrina on my first visit. You can definitely tell that they are freshly baked. Staff was not super friendly, and they have very limited milk options for coffee.
