    Pistachio croissant -delish!
    Mindi A.

Came for the croissants, ended up staying for breakfast. The place is super cute and everything was delicious. I had chilaquiles and hubs had the breakfast sandwich. Both were good, but felt a little pricey for what you get. The almond croissant was the best I've had in Dallas. It was fresh, flaky, sweet and delicious. In my quest to find the best almond croissant, Lubellas now sets the bar. Pistachio and chocolate were good also. And we enjoyed our coffees (Vietnamese iced and ola) as well. Might not make a special trip down there, but would definitely stop in for croissants if I'm in the area.

This place is 10/10. Even though I only had a latte, breakfast sandwich, and a cinnamon roll, the ambience was elegant, unique , and family friendly. All the pastries looked delicious, and I can't wait to go back to try the rest! Service was 10/10, very attentive.

I'll preface this review with saying I visited the restaurant at 12:30 on a Sunday. The restaurant was very cute, Parisian charm in Dallas. There is indoor and outdoor seating and the restaurant's style is just as the name suggests, a lovely, light patisserie . The staff was very friendly and attentive. Everything in the glass display looked tasty and asthetic. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find that most of what I order was stale and hard. I order the almond croissant, bread pudding and their classic chocolate cake. The first two were so hard and stiff, they tasted a day old. I've visited bakeries late in the day before and still didn't experience pastries in that condition. The chocolate cake however was very moist and delicious, not too sweet and the right amount of density. The real downside is that I stopped in before a 4hr drive home. I was already thirty minutes away before before I tried anything, so going back was not an option. Considering how good the cake was, I'll give them another try the next time I'm in town, but patisserie with stale baked goods is the definition of a failed mission.

Ordered cafe de olla and a cherry danish , first time visit. WOW! For those not in the know cafe de olla is coffee with milk, pinion (brown raw sugar) and cinnamon. That is how coffee is served in Mexico. Delicious! The cherry danish was served warm (fresh juicy cherries floating in cream cheese cloud!) Ambience in Lubellas is charming with light blue walls, cane furniture and comfy booth chairs, playing French jazz in the background. Service is attentive , helpful and accommodating. Can't wait to return to Lubellas for a meal with cafe de olla!

This was honestly one of the worst dining experiences my wife and I have ever had. We came in because people kept talking this place up, but it was a disaster from start to finish. We ordered two Cafés de Olla, chilaquiles, the Steak & Eggs Frites, toast, and breakfast potatoes. Our server only brought one coffee, which was fine, but when she came back with the second, it wasn't even close to Café de Olla. It was just regular coffee with some cinnamon dust on top and none of the sugar it's supposed to have. We asked again, and they still got it wrong. At that point, we gave up on the coffee entirely. Our sides came out before any actual food, and then after a long wait, my plate finally arrived but my wife's didn't. My dish was a disappointing mess. The hollandaise sauce was clumpy and more broken than the shells for the eggs used to make it, the steak was overcooked and absolutely not the ribeye the menu claims it is. The eggs were very undercooked and half the whites were raw and liquid. But the worst part, and the part that honestly lost us, was what later happened with the chilaquiles. They made them, gave them to the wrong table, those people started picking from them, and then the staff brought that same plate over to us like nothing happened. I don't care how busy you are, that should never happen in any restaurant, let alone one charging these prices. We didn't eat anything. Everything was either wrong, poorly made, or downright unsanitary. We paid and left because it was all honestly so exhausting we didn't have energy to even try to argue. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to dine in. I originally left feedback for management as suggested by the signs on their tables but never received any kind of response. If I could give a lower rating I would but unfortunately I cannot.

Great staff, beautiful location. I got the bacon egg and cheese croissant. It was lacking flavor and I wish it were fresher, but next time I'll ask for a fresh croissant or for it to be warmed longer. And I'll try ham instead of bacon!

The croissants are huge, flakey, and buttery. I had the house salad with salmon and the dressing was delicious. The coffee here is also phenomenal, I would stop by again just for a cup.

Few places beat expectations but this place is special!! Everything was delicious!! Had the Breakfast croissant sandwich with the spicy Jimmy's Sausage and that croissant was the best I ever had.

Today was my second visit to Lubella's and lunch was even better this time. All of our meals were delicious. Entree #1 was ordered by my father--the salmon lunch special that came with a tasty mix of asparagus, mushrooms, and zucchini, a fantastic potato cake, and an arugula side salad. My mother ordered the pork schnitzel that came with a green salad and potatoes. I had the quiche Lorraine which was incredibly fluffy (not at all dense like the quiche I make at home) and a Caesar salad that had the great addition of chopped tomatoes. Even the iced tea (ginger peach) was special and delicious. I follow Lubella's on Instagram and I have to say that seem to be working hard to deliver an elevated experience at this unlikely intersection. They are one of several newish businesses at Ferguson and Gus Thomason. This shopping center has always seemed like it might have been something special back in the day. Fingers crossed that this signals a resurgence in the area!

Well, talk about a hidden gem. I had this place bookmarked but could not tell you where I heard…read moreabout it. It is basically a little luncheon oasis dropped right in the middle of a gigantic industrial park. On the drive over I was seriously questioning my Yelp choices. It is that kind of location. But trust Yelp and sometimes you are handily rewarded, which we absolutely were. We came after a few hours strolling around at the Botanical Gardens, so we rolled in around 1:30 and there were still plenty of people there. I can only imagine at noon this place is packed, and honestly it should be. My biggest complaint is the menus. There is one above the counter that does not include everything, and then a different, more complete version if you scan the QR code at the table (But 2 different navigations even on the website with slightly different menus). Do yourself a favor and look it up ahead of time so you are not standing there making panic decisions. There is a half sandwich and half soup combo (Not on the board but online menu), which is definitely the move. I got the pozole, which you should absolutely order, and a half grilled cheese on their housemate sourdough. Normally not my go to, but I was trying not to be completely stuffed since we had dinner plans. And they bake their own sourdough, so I had a strong feeling it would be great, and it delivered. Toasty and melty, American and cheddar. My husband got the southwestern wrap, and my friend went with the half club and half tomato soup. She immediately regretted not getting the pozole and the half birria sandwich, which tells you everything you need to know. Also need to mention the snickerdoodle. Not much to look at, kind of humble, but it completely makes up for it with flavor and that perfect soft texture. Go ahead and get the cookie. You are not here to make responsible decisions. Bottom line, it may feel like you are driving into the middle of nowhere, but keep going. This place is worth it.

It's also one of those "if you know, you know" places, and clearly people know, because the to-go orders were nonstop. The second you walk in, you're hit with cases of fresh baked bread, and pastries. The almond pistachio croissant was the biggest one I've ever seen and had me drooling before I even placed my order. It is counter service, and I went with a Mediterranean sandwich with chicken while my lunch date got a classic BLT. Both were incredible, super fresh ingredients, excellent flavor, and next level fresh bread/ flatbread. Try the sourdough ! You can tell this place is legit because you see everyone in there from construction workers, people, in scrubs, law-enforcement, executives, all grabbing lunch. When that many hard-working people trust a spot, you know it's got to be good. If you're in Garland, add this place to your must try list. It is an excellent lunch spot.

We happened to be nearby, so I called to check if they had corn dogs available (they had 9 left), so we drove on down. Location is easy to get to. You can pull up and turn on your hazards for service, walk up to a window, or eat inside the small dining area. We opted for car service for the vibes. Had my order taken by a really friendly kid, seems like a family owned and run place. We got fries, onion rings, 3 corn dogs, chicken strips, and a classic bacon cheeseburger, plus a large root beer. Fries are crinkle cut, good and basic. Onion rings are beer battered, very good. The hand dipped corn dogs are good if you like your batter heavier with corn meal, it lends itself to a very crispy corn dog (I liked it, the picky people with me did not like the texture). Chicken strips were picky kid approved, allegedly "frickin good". Bacon cheeseburger was a solid basic burger. Root beer was alright, think it would be great to get the float option. Now, here is where I need to just throw in that my niece got a corndog and fries... Some time into all of us eating our lunch, she told me there was hair in her fries, and I didn't believe her, so I took them from her and then I thought maybe it was just like burnt little strips of spices or anything other than hair, please, but no...thick, wiry little black hairs, and when the count was higher than 3, I threw everything away. Put me off from coming back, honestly, and it's a shame because I'm sure it was a one off. Other than the hair thing, everything else was great, or at least decent.
