I tried to book online and she wasn't there anymore so I called and they said she no longer works there and can't say why?? Very odd ..Alyssa was the only one who knew what she was doing.. the other worker Emily is absolutely horrible at her job and I'm not seeing her again nor want to try a new girl. I needed a last minute sugaring for a trip to Hawaii last week and my regular sugar lady wasn't available, so Sugar Coated was the only place with available reservations in a short period of time. I am SO glad I came here. First off, they have soooo many times so it wasn't hard finding an appointment quick and easy. The location was easy to find and the inside was really cute. I was scheduled for a Brazilian and under arms sugaring, and I was very nervous before hand as I've never had a Brazilian. I was booked with Alexis and was nervous because I hadn't seen many reviews from this place. Let me tell you, taking a chance on this place was literally the best decision i've ever made. Had my first ever sugar wax with Alyssa, I could not have been more thankful for her being so kind and making me feel very comfortable during my wax! I was super nervous going in because I'm currently 8mo pregnant and I heard so many people say waxing during pregnancy is more painful than usual but Alyssa was quick and the pain was very tolerable. I've had a wax before with hard wax and I'll NEVER go back to that, with hard wax my swelling lasted about a day or two not to mention the pain being worse but hours later after my sugar wax my swelling is gone! I have gone to many sugar wax places and this is by far my favorite!! Kaitlyn was super sweet, understanding, and professional from the start. I had to reschedule many times due to an emergency and I was nervous to show up due to rescheduling so much thinking they'd be in a bad mood but it was the absolute opposite. She completely understood and treated end me with nothing but kindness :) the actual sugaring was surprisingly not so painful as she distracted with conversation and positive affirmations. Go somewhere else. The waxer they still have here is crap at her job and they've know for months she's a bad waxer and don't care here's how I know: I'm sad Alyssa is no longer here.. She was great at what she did and was the only one who did good at this spot.. I had to get waxed from the other girl when Alyssa wasn't there (don't know her name but she has almost a bob short hair) she left hairs in places that should've been GONE for a Brazilian. I told Alyssa the next visit and apparently the worker also left hair on multiple other people and she had to apologize and make it right to customers who complained to her. She said she told management but they never cared to do anything about it and nothing ever changed as I kept coming for the longest time. SHOWS HOW THEY DO BUSINESS! They don't care if a worker does crappy work on you people. If you get a Brazilian with them there's a 50/50 chance they will leave hairs. I'm not taking my chances for $60/$70. There's better spots I'm sure. I wanted to book my next wax but Alyssa wasn't online anymore so I called and they said she's no longer there. I used Venmo to tip Alyssa and commented on a previous tip to get her number and asked where she's going next. She also let me know she was fired for something the management knew about since she started a long time ago and the more than likely real reason. Yeah DEFINITELY don't want to support a horribly owed spot/ that kinda treatment from management let alone a spot that has a bad worker here still. I found this new sugaring place in Brea, which is about 3 mi away from my home. This place is new but they are nothing short from amazing. Megan was super nice and accommodating yet very professional. As someone who always feels awkward with small talks in salons, I guarantee that she is capable of making anyone feel comfortable during the whole session. She has magical hands- she was skillful and quick, and now my skin feels so smooth! From 6 months of living in California I've been around 3-4 waxing/sugaring places and this one has easily become my favorite one so far. I've never been waxed before and when I say I was terrified, it's an understatement. I was greeted by the nicest woman who took detailed time to walk me through the procedure and ease my nerves. Her name was Jackie and honestly, without her, I don't think I could've gone through with it because I'm a scaredy cat.
