Ken has also been fighting cancer for 14 years, and he's been displaced ever since his home was damaged. To make a long story short, while looking for a good restaurant to eat at, we stumbled upon Harvey's on Military road in Sioux City, and I'm glad that we did! The place was super clean, they give you HUGE portions, and talk about fast and friendly service! Not only was our waitress Cayla super nice, so was the cook, Cody. And come to find out, they're twins! I have twins in my family, and when Cayla had a few minutes to spare, she approached our table, and we chatted briefly about multiples, as well as what brought us to Harvey's that particular day. So, as far as Ken and I are concerned, Harvey's is at the top of our list! Their food is delicious, and the staff is super friendly! So for those of you reading this review, whenever you're in the Military Road area in Sioux City, and you're hungry, stop at Harvey's restaurant, and you won't be dissapointed! Didn't get our drinks for 30 min. Had 3 servers and a bartender and a manager on staff with only 5 tables full. They forgot my order and forgot our refills. The pickle chips were pure salt. Asked to talked to the manager, some Rasmussen, and he was extremely rude. Asked me who the hell I was. Very poorly run. Less than mediocre food. I'll pass. read more

Horrible service and food tonight! After seated forgot about us. Ordered and waited 30 minutes and waitress comes back and says she forgot to put in order. So usually the tables are a mess. I've only ever seen 1 employee actually come from behind the register to clean tables. They don't sell fountain pop or I don't think they have water either other than the $4 bottles you can buy. I always go get the 'free' beverages on the other side of the casino to eat my food with. Right across the lot is the city's minor-minor-minor (I don't know the official term) baseball league home. It's all next to an ice rink that is used for sports and recreation. It's a great family-friendly area of Sioux City. Food is the same as the SSC location which is wonderful. They have the BEST burgers in town. I also LOVE their fries. The only thing not making these restaurants my favorites is the ranch dressing. They just use generic, bottled ranch. It's not good. I'd kill if they made actual 'restaurant' ranch. I've literally brought in my own ramekin of ranch when I'm craving a meal I usually eat with it. BUT, the brown gravy and queso are to die for. It would be a part of my last meal. Staff is great. This area has a smaller bar than the SSC area, but the bartenders whip up everything the same. I don't drink, but they're down for their margaritas. This place is kinda like a locally-owned Chilis, but with better food. A great place for even a couple drinks and some poutine.
