Slow service and mediocre food. That about says it all. Have eaten here several times hoping it would get better.

The onion rings were fine, good even. The ranch, however, was watered-down and horribly thin. At first my partner suggested it was homemade because of its consistency. If this is homemade ranch, please switch to a commercial alternative. The soups that came with the meals were good. Canned, for sure, but from quality cans which I can appreciate for what they are. The real problem was the Philly wrap. I should have taken more photos to display the sheer scale of the portion, I could cover the whole wrap with my hand. It was $10.75 for a wrap the size of a McDonald's breakfast wrap. You know, the ones available for purchase TWO AT A TIME because of their small size. My Fish and Shrimp dinner was subpar, but nothing horrible. The fish is advertised as "freshly breaded", quotations included. The quotations do a lot of heavy lifting in this claim as the breading was soggy by the time it arrived at the table. I still tipped 18% because I'm not a monster and this wasn't the waitress' fault. She was very sweet and came around to check on us. Overall: I write this scathing but honest review to ward off future customers. This is assuredly the most unfortunate $50+ dollars I have ever spent.

I typically try to stay away from…read morerestaurants that have a denomination before a family member, because they're usually a train wreck. Like "5 Guys" (which is absolute garbage, and I have no idea how this place stays in business, because I've never seen a single one of these have any customers inside) But I'm digressing, and I'm glad I gave this place a shot! I walked over here, and I walked through the patio dining area, through the patio entrance/exit, not realizing that the main exit was just around the corner of the building but I made it in anyhow. The kid up front was super nice, and asked me where I wanted to sit and I chose the bar, naturally! This place is super clean, even the bathrooms, so that was really nice. A bunch of TVs, and I think I even saw signage for live music on Fridays? But it's a pretty big venue, and they even have their own private dining room for private parties, at least I'm guessing. My bartender, was a spitting image of a woman I know in the town where I live, in the Eastern Sierra mountains. I literally had to double take and triple take to make sure it wasn't her. But unlike the lady I know, this bartender was nothing short of excellent! One star goes for the knowledgeable bartender, and the successful owner knowing that 'extra lime' means WEDGES, not WHEELS. It wasn't too busy in there, but she was really attentive to the bar patrons, and was on top of her game. Everybody sitting at the bar area, were so nice to one another, we were all talking and I ended up meeting this really nice, older gentleman that I chit-chatted with up until he left. I love the fact that the people here are so open and comfortable with one another and can engage in friendly banter. So that being said, my bartender constantly kept an eye on me and never interrupted my conversations when she wanted to offer me another drink or to order supper. She always timed it perfectly right! I'm on a no carb kick, so I ordered the smothered pork chops, with steamed broccoli and asparagus. Man, was it good. Those asparagus were popped down over an open flame and roasted, and even though very simple and basic, some of the best asparagus I've had at a restaurant ever. My whole trip was very enjoyable, and it looks like I'll be here in Sioux City for a few more days at least, so I will probably poke my head in there, this weekend! I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND YOU TRY THIS PLACE. I eat all over the country, from fine dining, to little holes in the wall in the deep south. This right here is a sure bet! ***DISCLAIMER*** This pure, uncut, honest review is federally protected under Federal Law by way of Bill #EO14149. I would go back for the Korean BBQ steak, the flavor was sooo good. My side of mashed sweet potatoes was reminiscent of a sweet potato soufflé, which I love. We took a table in the back of the restaurant. Simple table with black cloth napkins. No candle , no flower, just a small salt and pepper set with a few menus. The menu offers a variety from expensive seafood and steaks to sandwiches. I chose the seafood Mac and cheese. My husband had the pork chop with sweet potatoes and a side of grilled cauliflower. The other couple ordered Mediterranean pasta with shrimp instead of chicken which came with a slice of focaccia bread. His wife had the chicken margherita sandwich which came with sweet potato waffle fries. My husband said the pork chop was dry and overcooked. My seafood pasta was served warm. It looked like it sat under the heat lamp while other food was prepared. Oddly enough, my meal did not come with any bread. But the other pasta dish had focaccia bread and even the kids meal that had mac & cheese had a big chunk of bread as well. Was it an oversight? Also missing from my dish was the Panko crumbs that were to top the dish. None to be found! My pasta had really great flavor. A complaint is that every third bite I was pulling a shell out of my mouth. It's good to know that the seafood is fresh, but I should not have to bite around the shell of the seafood. Also, because it was served warm, it made it less than enjoyable. The Mediterranean pasta I was told was delicious and it looked so. A lot of sauce as well. The chicken sandwich was quite large. Although it was tough and not tasty. It came with a side of sweet potato fries, which came out after we started our meal. It was forgotten the first time around. Overall, I would give the ambience an eight. Service was good and it deserves a seven. The food however, which I think is very important when you go to dinner, would get a solid five. I think the flavor was good, but again, because the food was served cold, and the pork chop was overcooked. I would most definitely take points off.

Maybe not a great recommendation, but when you are heading home with a 2 hour drive ahead of you and hungry....Just being OPEN, CLEAN and Friendly is more than enough. We both ordered breakfasts. We call them our vacation breakfasts, as being away from home we are almost always busy so we eat late morning (lol maye even past noon) and know it will be late for dinner...Pancakes or waffles, bacon/sausage and eggs////maybe potatoes... Perkins had them and they are all newly made nothing from the freezer, except maybe the bacon. There was almost no one in the place when we arrived but 20-30 customers when we left. The waitress was good. She was willing to visit and listen as we ordered. Will we return? Yes, the location was just off the interstate although we were actually in town and only now traveling a distance to home.
