I highly recommend visiting Nims and Sugar Esthetics. I have known Nims since college and she has only been kind to me, always offering a soft smile. After not seeing her for a few years after graduating, I approached her on instagram to inquire about her services in the beauty and wellness industry. She responded pretty much immediately offering her help. Professionally and personally, she works with clients focusing on their wants needs by listening to them and creating a treatment right for them. I didn't know much about skin care and the products to stay away from, but Nims has educated me to maintain my wellness. I have never allowed someone to do as much treatment as Nims has done to my face, and I really only trust her with my face, lashes, and brows now. Finally, I am so proud and happy for this establishment to be up and running officially. Nims is one of the hardest workers I know and watching her step by step detail every corner of her new salon has been a pleasure. The entire interior is stunning and literally "instagram worthy". From brows, cluster lashes, mink lashes, to luxury lashes she slays my life every time. But what I would like to focus on are her facials. it's been almost a year I've been getting monthly facial and I honestly can say my face has never been this clear ! when I first met her I had severe chemical burns on my face to now barely having any scars and I can give all the thanks to her. Let me start off by saying I do not let just anyone thread my eyebrows. I do thorough research and have only let three people in total thread my eyebrows in my lifetime. I was driving all the way to West Hartford, CT each time I needed it when I've lived in NYC going on 7 years.... I realized it was starting to become a hassle and I needed to explore my options here in the city. I stumbled upon Nims's Instagram page by clicking around and realizing every eyebrow picture I loved was done by her. I was hesitant due to the idea of commuting to Washington Heights from Midtown East however it's truly not that bad of a commute and right off the subway. I was amazed by the results and overall experience. Salon is open and clean. She uses fresh aloe from plants and offers a lot of other treatments that I will also look into. I made one of the best decisions coming to this place. I was thinking about doing a hair transplant for years now but surgery can be scary. Nims guided me through the Scalp micro pigmentation process and ensured me that I can achieve the same results as a transplant without the surgery After doing 5 sessions, I am glad I came here. I use to have bald spots in the front of my head and throughout the middle. I used to spend time using cover-up because as a young man, I did not want bald spots. Nims made my SMP look so natural and I save so much time in the morning. I do not have to worry about jumping in the pool or sweating off the cover up. This young lady has a skill to make anything look perfect but still natural. My girlfriend travels 1.5 hours to Nims for her brows. If Nims is not available she does not do her brows. I went here first to do my eyebrows but was too nervous the first time so I did the platinum hydra facial instead and it was absolutely amazing- my skin literally looked like glass after and the machine got all the gunk out of my pores, my nose is completely clear of the blackheads that never seem to go away. My skin looked so good that Nims convinced me to get my eyebrows done too and she had assured me she's been doing brows for 15 years and I have nothing to worry about. I came back to get my brows done and I am never going anywhere else again, I am so happy I trusted her with my brows. This is literally the only place i go to to get my eyebrows done. I first got my eyebrows done 4-5 years ago with nims and i regretted letting anyone touch my eyebrows besides her. She's the only one that was able to just clean my eyebrows wit's out thinning it but also shaping it to suit my face. I've gained so much confidence thanks to nims. I live in the neighborhood and was randomly walking by one day. The outside was so cute that I had to go in. I met the owner Nims who was so sweet and she talked to me about some of my skin concerns and what treatments would work best for me. The spa itself is gorgeous, the pink interior touches and fresh plants create such a nice vibe. I ended up getting the hydrafacial and my skin is so glad I did it! I have a lot of congestion around my nose and Nims was able to clear out all of it.
