After years of hopping from one dentist to the other, I can finally say I have found my FOREVER dentist! Sugar Family Dental is everything I have been looking for - the staff and dentist are super kind, welcoming, gentle and honest! My previous experiences at other offices involved being told that I had multiple cavities and needed expensive deep cleanings. But not here - Dr. Sugar assured me that my teeth were in great shape :) COVID protocols are followed here to a T. They encourage filling out the forms online or through a link sent through a text message, which cuts down on the time filling them out on paper in the office. Once you park, you call the office and come right up with no wait in the waiting room. Everyone is fully masked and gloved, and there is hand sanitizer right at the door. Each room also has its own air purifier machine. Mary was my dental hygienist. She has an incredibly sweet manner and I could tell she knows how to deal with dentist-anxious people, haha! I have a small mouth and active gag reflex so I dread getting X-rays taken, but she was so fast and efficient. What was also great was that they do the X-rays right in your room, so you're not coming in contact with others. You also see each X-ray pop up on a TV screen right in front of you, which I thought was cool. After that, she did an oral health screening (I know this since she talked me though each step!). She checked under my tongue, my throat and felt gently around the lymph node area of my neck. I've never had that done at a dentist office and really liked the extra step in checking! Then came the cleaning. She used a fancy scaler tool which shoots out a tiny stream of water (like a Water Pik) that she said gets into all the crevices of the teeth. She combined this with using the regular metal tools to scrape all the gunk off. My teeth definitely felt EXTRA clean! Oh I almost forgot - during the cleaning she put a pillow under my neck! Such a small step but it made me so much more comfortable. I almost fell asleep at times. Next, I was checked for gum recession (you know when they poke your gums and call out the numbers?). Mary was very thorough, checking multiple spots on each tooth along front and back. After that was the polishing and flossing. I love when they floss for you because I don't like flossing and that's why I have to be good about going to the dentist, lol. Then Dr. Sugar introduced herself (yes, that's really her name!) and checked my teeth again, went over my X-Rays and asked me of any concerns I had. I had already gotten the gentle reminder from the hygienist to floss more so I'm glad Dr. Sugar focused on my concerns (specifically, teeth whitening and the extra clenching I started doing during Covid). I didn't feel rushed or lectured to, which I have in prior offices. She has the kindest demeanor and assured me that me teeth and gums were looking healthy, WOOHOO. No upselling whatsoever! The last part, which I have never before experienced, was that I was offered a HOT TOWEL to clean up! It smelled like lavender and made me feel like I was a celebrity VIP :) THANK YOU Sugar Family Dental. Now I don't have to dread going to the dentist! read more

The entire team at Sugar family dental is wonderful! I have not been to a dentist in at least 12 years. My neglect resulted in a periodontal abscess and much more. At the very minimum, I needed a deep cleaning to see if the problem needed to see a specialist. This team is very supportive and straightforward. They talked me through every detail. Also gave me an exact quote (with no insurance) prior to all work they did. My only wish is had found them sooner! Dr Sugar has been my Dentist for going on 8 years. I first saw her in an emergency situation when I had a traumatic fall and broke my four front top teeth. When I arrived at her office her calm manner immediately calmed my nerves as she went to work accessing the situation. I left her office with my teeth bonded which looked amazing, but that was temporary until I had time to heal. Six months later she replaced the bonding with 3 veneers and 1 crown. I can't say enough about Dr Sugar. She is as kind and sweet as her name. She is an excellent well trained dentist. I would follower anywhere! read more

Best cleaning I've had in a very long time. The hygienist Laura I saw is super thorough and kind. So happy to have found an office I trust and actually look forward to seeing. The entire staff is so friendly, especially Dr. Sugar. She is honest, has excellent bedside manner and listens to your concerns.
