Sugar Hill Auto repaired my suburban after another car rear ended me. They were great from start to finish. They walked me through the process of getting a rental and dealing with the other person's insurance company. They fixed my car and even called to ask if we wanted to use the extra paint to fix any other scratches/dents not caused By the accident. When we picked the car up, it looked brand new!! They detailed the inside and outside and left some SH chapsticks, SH car insurance card holder and the extra paint for more touch ups. Great Local Service Shop - I had some car issues last week, and as I was driving home from work I stopped to get gas at SugarHill Service Center. When I went in to pay I spoke with Rob, the owner and told him about my engine trouble. He quickly came outside and diagnosed the problem - I dropped the car off the next day on the way to work and got it back right after work at a price that was actually less then the estimate. It is great to see a family run business like now a days - where the employees actually take pride in their work. Since my engine repair I have had quite a bit of body work done (from my past mistakes) and got the same great service and honesty! My car recently broke down on nearby I-84. AAA sent the Sugar Hill Auto's tow truck (professional and friendly driver). The service team there later confirmed what I suspected. My car's 291,000 mile engine finally gave up the ghost. They could have easily have replaced the engine, but then what about the transmission? It was too much to fix a 15 year-old car that I bought brand new. It was sent for a proper retirement. The crew at Sugar Hill Auto made an honest assessment of the situation with their courteous manners and appreciated professionalism, (Special shout-out to Joe and his crew and especially Louisa, whose kindness and understanding was much appreciated). Trustworthy and helpful. My wife was in a car accident and I could not asked for better service and advice from the owner. When the car was completed and ready for my inspection there was a bit of overs-pray on the car. The owner, as he should, took care of it. However, in addition to taking care of the over-spray he drove me home, then when my car was ready he delivered it to my house. Had some work done and was very poor quality work. First time we get quarter mile away and the car stutters so we bring it back. Next time its a leak that should not happen. Then its sure mr. customer bring it in we will take another look which means you pay more again. A raquet. The milk run just ended for me. Do not go there. A typical AAA shop, the only business they get is a tow in for repair and then a repeat visit for of course another fee for the original problem. read more

While this place has historically done good work for the little I don't do myself, my experience the last 7-10 days with them has me telling all who will listen to stay away. Brought one of my cars in when I noticed torn axle boot, they replaced entire axle and car shoot hard enough to scare my wife into not driving it further. They towed it back and after a full day of back and forth with never getting a clear answer from anyone they magically said car was done and new (replacement) axle was in the car. My wife said car still didn't feel right and was making squealing noises now on hard right turns. Took a look at right from axle today (the one that was to have been repaired) and the inner boot isn't seated at all, no grease at all in the CV joint and what was there is all over lower suspension. Can't wait to hear there excuses this time... read more

Attempted to have some work done here as they are the local shop. They refused to quote me anything unless I brought the car to them. The parts were factory fresh, still sealed in their shipping boxes and they were going on a race car. What was I supposed to do, trailor it down so that they can take a look at a car that they aren't going to touch? I was fitting the parts and needed only the paint. Guy I talked to was not exactly pleasant and was generally unhelpful. Considering what I wanted was so simple and they wouldn't provide me any info, I'd be wary about what else they might not want to tell you. read more

Owner Rob is named appropriately. Will absolutely screw you on a tow job, demand payment in cash before he hooks it up, refuse to follow your directions about where to take it . Charged me $400 to take it 3 miles, and took it to HIS shop instead of the mechanic I told him to deliver it to, made up lies saying that after he put my vehicle on his flatbed he decided it was too big to be safe, then made my mechanic come and get it: he completely lied and said I had authorized the second tow, cashed my check before telling me the total amount for the tow.
