They didn't tell me it was expired while I was there, let me use half of it, then crossed out the expiration date and made it a date in expire 10/30/25. I was unaware they back-dated it because I was in a hurry to put it in my pocket since I was in rush. Fast forward to today, I went to use it and obviously it wasn't honored because of that new date. I understand that it expired and of course I'm fine not using it since it's completely my fault. It was just the most bizarre experience because 1. No one mentioned it was expired the first time I was there (which I would have been fine paying for my pedicure if someone explained that to me instead writing in a new date so couldn't use it again) Also I'm just not sure why they would give me back a gift certificate that I can't use anymore or never mention that it was expired. 2. What kind of place has a 1 week or 1 month expiration date? (Thinking about it I'm wondering if it the date a typo since it was handwritten because most places around here have a 1 year expiration date when I buy them or am gifted them.) Also my nails were different lengths and the polish I used developed white spots on top (it was a light purple) With so many wonderful places in Montclair, I would definitely consider buying a gift certificate somewhere else with a longer expiration date, a more clear policy, or somewhere that will take the time to explain these dates and policies if you have an issue like I did if you are looking to purchase a gift.

Young did my daughters and she was very happy too. Prices are same as everywhere else! Parking is easy and service was very friendly and we chatted about our daughters up coming weddings. I just found my new go to place. If I had to say only thing missing I got from my other salon would be that little shoulder massage they give you. Which I always love. But I can't judge them on that. This was a red flag because I have nothing even on my toes at all and I've been in and out of salons in 2.5 hours with old polish on my toes and hands. They also called at 11:00 asking me to come early because they had a no show but I said no because I was traveling back to the NJ area. They don't have lot parking so you have to find street parking and I was 6 min late walking in when the nail artist walks me over to the pedicure chair to say she won't have time to do french toes with chrome. I grabbed my stuff and left. I even tried to explain myself to the receptionist that I had to have multiple convos about this appointment and saying that they can't accommodate me now is ridiculous. She then told me to "take it down a notch". No, you step it up and be better. You guys are extremely rude and I will never come back to this salon or recommend you ever. This is a nail salon not a surgical center, stay in your lane. I'm glad I made the decision to not get my wedding nails done here, terrible vibes from the staff. I would give a 0 if I could. I had never had a deep cleanse facial before, and Gabriela was so great. She warned me before any painful parts, and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I have super sensitive skin, so she was very mindful to use products that would minimize inflammation. My skin looked flawless the next week for my wedding! I also had a wonderful experience with Daisy, my mani/ pedi technician. It was so easy to work with her! I was an acrylic nail newbie, and she helped transform my awful nails into the perfect, bridal French manicure!
