i had my first lash appointment with karina today, 2/11/21. the salon is beautiful and warming. i was recommended by a friend who is a client here. karina showed me everything the salon has to offer and showed her dedication to where she works in doing so. she was very professional, talked me through everything she was doing as she was doing it, asked if i was comfortable, needed water or to use the bathroom. time flew by because we talked most of the appointment and it was really nice and refreshing to have someone able to make a stressful day enjoyable. my lashes are gorgeous and i look forward to the next few weeks seeing how they grow out and hold up ! read more

I have also gotten my nails and eyebrows done here and I was very satisfied with those services as well. The owner is very sweet and attentive. The salon itself is very nice & chic, creating a nice atmosphere to be pampered in. Pricing is reasonable for the services being provided. A few months ago I came here and asked for half a head of highlights. I sat down and told her again, I just want half head of highlights. Next thing I know she's putting brown on my roots. I ask why and said again, I only wanted highlights and the male stylist next to me said I had too many colors in my hair and she needed to dye it brown first?!? I've gotten highlights my entire life and I have never been told I need brown first, and they didn't consult with me before putting the brown in. I left there having spent $500 for two separate color processes which is not what I asked for!!! just to walk outside to my car getting towed from being there for WAY LONGER THAN EXPECTED. I feel like I was taken advantage of and I wasted soo much money, this was an awful experience and I will never return to this salon. This was the 3rd time I let fernanda do my hair. It has never came out bad, but I was not consulted with before brown was put in and before I was charged for another color service. I am not one to complain, but this was just so unfair!! read more

For hair cut, coloring and deep skin cleaning. First of all, is beautiful and super well set up, the decor is glam and modern with a clean vibe, they do carry great brands for hair magic as Redken and Loreal; water, tea, coffe and/ or wine are offered while you wait, for Newark, no doubt is the best service you'll receive; however, it could be more attentive at times, I say this because I went back three times to get info about laser hair removal, left my number and after they say they'll call me with an answer, I'm still waiting... Anyway, Samuel was my hair stylist and I can tell he knows what he is doing, we cut first (amazing cut by the way with layers and the 'long short' style), coloring after only part of my hair - balayage - the results was amazing to me, and I am definitely adopting him as my NJ hair stylist. The facial: I did two times, first time was OK, nothing that made me want to do it again, but I wanted to give them another try and went back (with a different professional this time - the previous one wasn't working anymore), this time was great, she analyzed my skin with a machine that sees super duper close your pores to see if there is any inflammation, and she did a very good job on extracting and closing/ calming the skin afterwords. I did not wanted to go crazy on the skin treatment since my first experience was just OK, but I will definitely want to go back to see their other skin treatment options, they have excellent skin machines for different needs. read more

I have gone here before and Tati has always taken good care of me. I called to confirm the price of a wash, cut, and blow dry and the girl said it was 35 (which is what tati always charged me). I asked the girl if tati was working and she said she doesnt work there anymore..then asked if I needed an appointment and she told me I did not and I could walk in. I did just that. I come in and wait about 15 mins to be seen which was fine considering I didnt have an appt. This polite and friendly guy Sam, takes me back and washes my hair and tells me he lives in LA and comes to the area only twice a month since he has a large clientele in the area (explaining he's busy). I was excited learning this because I thought I was gonna get great service. He trimmed my hair in a matter of minutes (like the pro I thought he'd be) apologized and said he need to wash his other clients hair. I waited for about 20 mins before another lady starts blowing drying my hair.... I felt like it was such a bad blow out.... my bangs had almost dried before they got a change to be styled and she didnt apply any serums or hydrating products in my hair. She sprayed it with hair spray and called it a day. I didnt love my hair but all this was forgivable if I was charged the $35 dollars I was told over the phone. Once it was time to pay she said $40 for the cut and $40 for the blow dry making it $80. I actually asked her to repeat herself because I thought I was hearing it wrong. I explained how the girl over the phone told me $35....so she charged me $35 for the cut and $40 for the blow dry. I'm not sure if this is because two stylists touched my hair or for tip purposes. I still left a 15 dollar tip because I always tip good which I would of tipped generously anyways if I was charged $35. This is really disappointing because I'm new to the area I really like this salon but 80 dollars for a wash, cut, and blow dry is ridiculous. I feel like I was hustled and that's just bad business. Do yourself a favor a skip a place that hustles you. Bad ethics. FYI....there was a sign outside that said $20 blow outs. So worse case scenario.... I should of been charged 55. read more

Made an appointment for a blowout on Saturday - it was my first time there & I wanted to get a feel for the salon before I booked a cut/color later in the month. I asked for a 7pm appointment, but they only had 6:30 available - which was totally fine. They told me I was booked with Fernanda. I was excited! I arrived to the salon at 6:15, was greeted, told to take a seat & that Fernanda would be right over. After waiting for 30 minutes...6:45, a male stylist comes over and tells me to follow him to get my hair washed. I guess Fernanda was running behind, who knows? Anyway, the stylist asked me how I wanted my blowout and he began drying. He also had a color client with a full head of foils processing next to me. He had to keep stopping my blowout to check on his color client. I understand that. I wasn't even booked with him in the first place, so I know he was squeezing me in between another appointment. He blew my hair out, it looked good... until I went outside. My house is 10 minutes away (walking) & no it wasn't raining. When I got home & looked in the mirror, I was dumbfounded that I paid $40 for a blowout that didnt even last a 10 minute walk. I've worked in plenty of salons & I feel as though because the stylist was rushed, he didnt fully dry & seal the hair cuticle... so any moisture leftover caused the hair to curl & frizz back up again. Needless to say, I had to resection my hair & reblowdry the ends to salvage the style. I basically paid $40 to get my hair washed, lazily dried, and listen to Calma - Pedro Capó four times. I could've stayed home & did that for free. Front desk didn't have the consideration to let me know Fernanda was running behind & just stuck me with whoever could do the service at that time. I don't blame the stylist - I know he does good work & that's why I'm not posting his name, but I didn't deserve to have my appointment start late, rushed through, and then to have the end result turn out the way it did. I recently have been doing my hair with Dani, and makeup + lashes with Karina, and these girls work magic! I was absolutely in love with both their work.. and the fact that they're so sweet and attentive, is just the icing on the cake. I'm only not giving it the 5 stars because the hair is expensive, when doing highlights I feel like toner should be included with the highlights and the blow dry shouldn't be so much more .. we can't exactly go out with our hair wet so we really have no choice but to pay the extras. Olmes is my hair dresser, but unfortunately he was not available on Thursday and Fabio was the other hairdresser who did my hair. I went there with my boyfriend yesterday and we both loved our experiences. I went to cut my longish hair into a bob and he went to dye his black hair to silver. Upon scheduling the appointment we requested for Karina since it was a recommendation and she did not disappoint. She was extremely friendly and down to earth. Previously a huge fan of this salon and the great stylists. However, having my hair done in NYC salons, they take exposure to keratine treatments very seriously. I have seen the hairstylist in gas masks and the person having treatment excluded completly. It has serious health risks and for people who have asthma or copd this is not fair for us to have to cancel our apt once ariving and feeling you throat burn. He used the most cutting edge products and gave me the most incredible blow out. Samuel added volume and gorgeous extensions, my hair and I have never looked so good. Leila is an outstanding owner she treated me like I have been going there for years. Josie did a full body scrub, shower , and massage that made my face and skin glisten. Unprofessional staff member who claims to be the facility's "Nutritionist," what a joke. My boyfriend and I went in and when i was getting my hair cut, she kept herself occupied getting comfortable with him while he waited. Trying to sell nutrition advice is one thing, but having your hands all over him and provocative body language, unacceptable. I called searching for a hair stylist that I was told transferred there from the salon I used to go to, after a male picked up the phone asking how he could help me he hung up on my face. THREE TIMES. When I called a fourth time clearly annoyed the phone was answered by a female. as she was answering my question the male's voice came back to ask me again how he could help me to hang up on my face. love this salon, its beautiful, prices are fair, the quality of the products they use is really good, and i was very happy with the service they were providing me with, but sadly the last couple of times i have been there, i have heard some of the staff make mean comments and jokes about me with other costumers and also laughed, about my look since the staff mostly speaks Portuguese they assumed i didn't understand, and i personally believe that women go to salons to feel and to look amazing, not to feel ridiculed nor embarrassed so i wish they could fix it and provide a better customer-consumer service. read more
