Be careful who does your lashes. I posted this review on google and I'm posting this here now. I got my lashes done here for the first time on feb 16th. The pictures show what they did. I called the salon back a day later (bc they were closed) to get the lashes fixed. I requested another person. She removed most of the lashes but couldn't remove all of them and "fixed" my lashes. It's been 2 weeks and my lashes are starting to grow out and these lashes are falling out in clumps. Taking off a lot of my natural lashes. The salon said that there was "miscommunication" between me and my eyelash lady. I simply asked for a cat eye share and 11mm-15mm length lashes. I don't know what she did. It wasn't a cat eye shape, nor did it look good. She put the longest lengths in the middle of my eye. There was so much glue and the lashes were put it very messy. They were hurting my eyes. You can see in the pictures. I'm not sure who did my lashes first. I'm not going to drop any names. However, no customer should have to deal with this. I spent 2 hours the first time getting it done, then went back, got most of the lashes removed, & spent another 3 hours getting them to look decent. Waste of time and money. read more

**Review for Manhattan Location ** I've been getting eyelashes extensions for about 15 years. I use Groupon to test the technician for the first time and then continue, if they are good. I found JJ Love Beauty through Groupon during covid. Technican Joyce was so good that I bought 3 sets on my first visit. I like to get new sets instead of refills and after I used up the 3 sets, I purchased 10 sets more. I recommended Joyce to all my friends and they also bought 10 sets! Joyce is by far the best lash person I've ever experienced. She knows exactly how I like my lashes and able to even out my left side that is less & weak.. She didn't communicate well with her and gave her this large lashes... they did not look natural. She wanted natural. She then asked the lady to remove the lashes. She didn't do a good job with that either. There's a ton of lash glue residue. That day my friend went to GET lashes but she LOST lashes. The reviews you see about this shop- is all true. The worst facial ever. I have been having facials pretty often these days and I could tell the lady who was doing facial for me was inexperienced and incompetent. She didn't know how to use machines properly. It took 10 minutes for the steamer to be turned on (I checked the clock) and she was already gone because she thought the machine was working. She didn't clean my face well so it looks the same before getting the facial treatment. It was far from my house but I decided to come here based on their reviews. I saw a deal on Groupon for their eyelash extensions and I was on a time crunch with a dinner party coming up so I called them immediately to see if they had availability. They did I went in for eyelash extensions and Ellie did a good job. This is a good place to go if you already have had lashes done and know the aftercare and procedure. They don't explain in depth how to take care of lashes or explain the procedure. In case you don't know, merchants only get 50% of what the price you pay on Groupon so it's always best to call the company and more than likely they will offer you the same price and they'll earn the full amount! Update - the lashes they use are synthetic and they're very rough. It's been a week now and some fell off which is expected however I did not expect the lash tech to put glue on the entire individual lash! After seeing other videos of how it's supposed to be I'm very upset. I would not go back here. In response to merchant response, here goes- The rude lady was yelling in my face. There was not one ounce of respect. She has zero customer service skills. There were only 3 phone calls. It is difficult not to notice them as the tone of voice from the rude lady is what shocked me. I occupied the first room, with open range and no doors. Just a pull curtain. Sound travels. I was the only customer in the shop. The lady performing facial and lash communicated in English. The rude lady was yelling in Chinese to forbid her from providing her name, and to hurry the session and use the cheaper thicker lashes. They never told me they were applying mink or plastic or any material. Both employees were communicating to each other with no knowledge I understood every word. As a customer, I satisfied every obligation. I paid, I tipped, I left, and I detailed my experience honestly. I had the most terrible experience here. After your response, I will spread the word about my terrible experience. Rude lady is bossy and all around rude. I began to speak in Chinese towards the end. To allow your employees to understand they truly were disrespectful. As long as I communicate there is no requirement for me to speak in Chinese. They began speaking to me in English, and I responded in English. Nothing about me giving them a hard time (when did that happen?). Nothing about training your employees english (when did that happen?). Any training of your employees is your job. My family has nothing to do with my experience here. But since you brought them up, I am proud to say they do not work to hustle people in any way, shape or form like you (did you read what you posted?) Have some respect. Your employees are the biggest nightmare. They were speaking to each other about me in Chinese. Their exchange was about me. They were rude. They gave me an attitude. During lash session, your employee was complaining to me about other customers and how difficult it was to apply lashes, how they lost money selling through Groupon, how time consuming it is to apply lashes with the most annoying when applying lashes for African Americans. They are miserable and racist. A terrible example of service employees. I needed to feed the meter for street parking. I did not want to redeem the Groupon immediately. The rude lady prevented me from leaving until I redeemed the Groupon or paid her before discussing size and options. The rude lady was very eager to get reimbursed. When did you and your employees become the boss of me? Why would you think it is ok to tell me how I should spend my money? I believe I have the right on how I choose to spend my money. I already had a Groupon. And I explained I had plenty more Groupon bucks to use and would like to use them. If I follow normal practice from first visit, I expected to redeem after lash session. This would have easily allowed me to leave the shop, cancel the groupon and avoid the terrible situation. Offering me to come back at a later time is not even an option. Who wants to come back after this? If you read my post and can understand enough to reply, perhaps you should note in my review where it states i left in UNDER 3 hours. From your clarification of 90 mins facial, 90 mins lash...that should be a full 3 hours. I had time to change, use the bathroom, feed the meter, come back and leave in under 3 hours. Instead of petty rudeness towards your customers, maybe you should evaluate time management with your employees....among many many other things. You acknowledged not being present. Maybe you should be present at the shop to monitor these exchanges. Maybe you might even witness what's going on. Maybe you will change. Maybe not. I was still the only customer in the shop when I left. If zero star exists as a rating for a customer oriented service establishment, you earned it. How you deal with Groupon is entirely your business. I chose to use a Groupon and your employees gave me a hard time. I have forwarded this post (about you insisting there is nothing wrong to convince me to purchase direct from you instead) to notify Groupon of your business practice. Let's find out if they agree. There are a lot of good reviews and has good deals. Ok. I tried. I visited LoveBeautySpa with Groupon. It seems like clean more than I guessed. Cleanness is Ok! However, I didn't really like the service. She started Deep cleansing service with very rough hands! It made me uncomfortable and unpleasant!! Whole the processing, she did very rough. When she did clean my black and white heads on my face, especially, my nose, she did squeezed my nose with too much pressure. I know that processing making little painful, but she did too much. Even though I asked it was too much. She asked me to add service which was hydrating my skin with serum and using a machine because my skin was so dry. Ok. It was just 25 dollars more and I came with cheep Groupon deal, so I agreed that service. She pressed my nose that machin she used. OMG!!! It made me very very uncomfortable and unpleasant!!! I asked her it was too pressure my nose! I'm so happy I was able to find them as I was looking for a new lash place after my old place switched technicians and pricing. The owner is very nice and the ambiance is very relaxing. She asked what I usually get and then gave me her recommendations. Told her I trust her, and my lashes came out so nice! I went on 11/10 and wanted to wait a few days before a review so I can speak on the durability of the lashes. So far, it still looks great. I've only had a few fall off while I brush them in the morning for maintenance but it's still full and looks great like day one. This place will be my new go to. I recently got an eyelash extension here and I am not impressed to say the least. Out of all the groupon Eyelash extension places in NYC I would say this one fares the worst. Pro - the technician was very nice and the application did not burn at all like some of the previous ones I've had. Con - their rooms are extremely small so the table you are laying on is against the wall. I had a feeling this would be an issue since the technician will have difficulties applying lashes to my right eye as her right shoulder was practically rubbing against the wall. I brought this up to the technician she assured me that this is fine for her. As suspected the eyelashes came out uneven with the right eye a complete mess and missing chunks in the corner. The technician happily filled the corner however with the wrong length. As soon as I got home bunch of lashes started falling out with none of my own lashes attached. This tells me that it was either not properly glued on or that their glue isn't up to par. 3 days past and there's a 50% loss to the lashes on my right eye but left eye is still somewhat in tact. Long story short I had to get them removed within 1.5 weeks and redone because having lashes on one side without the other looks well......ridiculous. read more

Completely put me at ease. She recommended what I should start with as a first timer and it was the perfect recommendation. I got the basic (60ct) and it looks so natural. I didn't want to look like a Kardashian. They look so beautiful and as a person who doesn't leave the house wearing eye makeup I'm actually considering not wearing any. I love their anti acne facials. I went there for the first time with a Groupon but eventually bought the package. I've been to a couple of places but this spa does a great job with extraction. My pores get very clogged, especially on my nose so I really need a deep cleansing facial to clear my skin. Most places that I've been to do very little with extraction and focus more on masks so my faces ends up looking the same....with clogged pores. This place tries to hustle you. They try every way to get you to pay for a deposit to get their package deals without simply just asking you how do you like your experience. I did not like my experience enough to come back again. The ladies who work there talks very very loud over your face. I asked how long does the facial take and she saids 70 mins. But guess what? I didn't finish until 130 minutes later!!!! She left me alone in the room most of the time. This place is small enough so that I can hear what's going on. I would hear her go to the front and hang out before coming straight back in here. I also don't hear her going to wash her hands either and she uses those hands to touch my face!! I have been coming to this place for facials for about two years. My first treatment was purchased through groupon. I was really happy with the result so I ended up purchasing a 15 facial/deep cleanse package. After a few months of consistent treatment, my acne, that I have had for at least ten years, cleared up. I got eye lash extensions here and couldn't be happier with the results. I've never gotten lash extensions in my life, so I don't know too much about what makes a place good or bad. But I felt very comfortable getting them done. It took approximately an hour to complete. They don't do individual lashes, but rather clusters of lashes. Easy to make an appointment. I used the groupon and I think you get what you pay for. I have to say this place has the best face massage I've ever had during a facial. It's super thorough! But the service, was not so great. Sammy kept leaving during my facial to deal with other customers which definitely disrupted my relaxing. Since there is only a curtain to separate the waiting area and the facial rooms, I could hear everything. I guess to make up for this she spent extra time with me (my groupon was for 60 minutes and I was there for 90). Also the products they use seemed ok. I'm writing this 2 days later and no breakouts since then (my skin is super sensitive). I didn't notice any changes to my skin but this is really the place to come for an awesome face massage. In response to the owner's comment- Yes pimples can have many stressors. Those simple pimples usually get better after the stressor is gone and do not require medication treatments. Mine was obviously cystic and I had no stressors at the time. As a skin expert, you probably know that cyst like acne usually are not from stress, it's usually from a direct contact of such infection. Anyway, I'm now on accutane thanks to the facial. read more
