    Indoor seating and fun art

We followed some advice to eat here and the food was absolutely great! I couldn't resist ordering the steak, which was way better than I've had in some steak restaurants. Highly recommended! I'm sure that I would be raving about the gluten-free nectarine crisp if they hadn't run out. This is an unpretentious cafe located in a regional theater. Fun art on the walls. Picnic table seating outdoors. Several gluten free options and the service is responsive.

On the road from Santa Fe to Taos this was a great stop. The road itself didn't have many dining options- but this joint was great The service was very friendly and efficient. Food was great .. and sweets looked incredible

The Alice Waters movement has spread to the most unlikely of places. We always stopped here on the way back from backpacking from Santa Barbara but never knew of the Greens affiliation until recently. (Deborah Madison lives in Galisteo, incidentally.) This is high altitude baking, locovore dining at its best.

This cafe is truly a hidden gem. We had lunch here on Tuesday after hiking at the nearby Santa Barbara campgrounds and it was just delightful. The grilled cheese sandwich is one of the best I have ever had in my life (and I am an avid grilled cheese lover). Three years ago I had this sandwich and had been dreaming of it ever since. It was just as good three years later. The others had the Heirloom tomato special & the Green Chile Cheeseburger, which were both delicious. Their desserts are just the icing on the cake. Overall, great service and a quaint ambiance that feels very homey. Will definitely return on my next visit.

Outstanding food! I agree with other people saying don't judge from the building. Food is made on premises. I had BLT and WOW. Best ever! Wife had soup of the day, Tomato Bisque and was also outstanding. The salads are fresh from the area. They bake their own bread and desserts are made fresh. I got the Carrot Cake to go for tonight! If in the area, a must stop. Check their hours before showing up.

Amazing carrot cake and we were able to sit outside with our pups. All of our sandwiches were great as well as the burger and salad.

Food is outstanding and the owners are wonderful. A definite stop. I would definitely recommend it if you were driving through Peñasco.

Best black bean burger I have ever had! Excellent side salad. My husband had the green chili cheeseburger and really liked it.

Went to counter lady said they didn't have any tables for 2. I said we can take the table for 6 & we can share if others came in. She reluctantly agreed, but it seemed to bother her. We reviewed the menu on our phones to save waitress time & trip over. I saw the group of 20+ sitting at a table. We knew what we wanted so I went back up to counter asking her if I could just give her our order, because we knew what we wanted. The lady said ok, but you need to go back to your table, I will be right there to get your order. Then she by passed us went to table of 20+ asking them if they if they were ready to order. They said no then she passed us by AGAIN. Not even stopping to get our drink order. Walked around ignoring us went back to table to take order from the 20+ table. We got the point that we were not welcome, got up & left. A Rude staff member can destroy an experience. Go to the Main Street Grill down the street the customer service is 1000% better. There also is a place to park a RV across the street at the country market.

Adorable (well, everything is adorable in Taos; it's the southwestern charm for sure!) but it's more than what its appearance says it all. You have to try their products and see for yourself. What I got me were a few bon bons and a chocolate torte (the whiskey kind). -Miso Caramel: is shaped like a mushroom. Even if you might not be a fan of miso based (everything), you should try these bon bons anyway as they don't taste like miso at all. I was quite shocked with this myself (well, I like miso soup; miso taste doesn't bother me at all. Even so, Miso chocolate candy was something I didn't know what to expect out of. That is why I am saying that I was surprised by it.) -New Mexico , Spicy: was also surprising. The kick in these tiny pieces was quite mighty and yet it was tolerable. -Whisky Torte: All sorts of organic ingredients are used to make these delightful tortes. Tortes tend to be a lot heavier than traditional cakes as their texture is that of fudge. And yet, that shouldn't be a reason for you to steer clear from it as this chocolatier perfected the torte in a way that it will not be too rich or heavy for your taste or stomach. At least that is what I thought when I tasted it. Another must-try item on their menu offerings. For its interior, it's mostly and simply grey on walls but this emits the "chicness" that doesn't overshadow the theme of its business. You should also pay attention to the ceilings and the floors. A careful attention to entertain the guests' eyes is seen throughout. Service was good. I first went here late in the afternoon (close to its closing time). I quickly glanced at each section of the store inside. The kind gentleman upfront wanted to assist me but after asking him if it was open tomorrow (it would be Sunday), he said yes to which I gave him my promise that I would be back tomorrow. The same man assisted me when I was back the very next day to make a purchase. Not sure if he remembered me or not. It's not chocolate bon bons or tortes you can enjoy at this store. The café offers tasting trios, mocha, chocolate mouse, ice cream, affogato, hot chocolate, and espresso and so on. This is a haven for chocolate fanatics.
