The beans seemed canned rather than homemade, and the rice was dry. My fiancée ordered the burger and had a similar experience. After only a couple of bites, he pushed his plate away. The patty was dry and heavily over-seasoned with pepper. The service timing was also disappointing. I waited more than 40 minutes just for a cup of coffee and nearly an hour for our food to arrive. For a meal that cost around $42, the quality and wait time did not meet expectations. The only positive was that the employees were friendly and courteous throughout our visit. Ordered the special for the day - chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes, salad and green beans. Made fresh daily the owner said. It was delicious. Other dishes on the menu appears to be mostly Mexican fare. Ambience was average with nice background music. There was even a Christmas song!
