Love this place! My 11 year old daughter had recently become self-conscious of her super thick eyebrows...even referring to them as a unit browse. And so I wanted to do something to rid her of this insecurity in the least painful way and without going overboard as well after all thick brows are in style. And to be honest in quite envious of her beautiful thick brows since mine have never fully recovered from the thin brow style that was in back in the day. Well after a few Google searches I stumbled across Sugar Sugar Salon and booked her first appointment with Amy. Amy was absolutely wonderful! She put my very nervous tween at ease and explained each step to her. With Amy's light but skilled touch my daughter didn't even flinch! And she did exactly as we asked....to just clean up in the middle and a little on top & underneath as my daughter didn't want it to be obvious that she had them groomed. I have sensitive skin and have no reaction or irritation after use. Services: I have had Brazilian and Eyebrow hair removal. I love how just your hair is removed and not 3 layers of skin-like hot wax. You are still removing hair so it is not the best feeling in the world, but nowhere near as painful or torturing as waxing. When it is placed on my skin I had no idea and when it is removed I was not really phased. Tweezing is more painful. I was very pleased with how neither area looked like it had been burned or irritated. I was surprised and happy with how long it took for my hair to grow back. *I will update after I have a spray tan :) Staff: The attention to detail and making sure you are 100% satisfied is so refreshing and rare in companies these days. The front desk girls are amiable and educated on products/services. Whether booking an appointment or checking in/out for one you are always taken care of with caring service and attitude. I will never wax again!!! I am here in arizona with my girlfriends, and we decided to have a spa day at Sugar Sugar. Wow!!!! It was the best experience I've had in a long time. We started out getting sugared. If you have never sugared before, you're missing out! It so sooo much better than waxing. It gets all the fine hairs out, and doesn't pull your skin! After sugaring, we all had facials. All I can say is AMAZING!!!! What a relaxing experience. With a great neck massage during the facial. Then, I had an amazing spray tan. I've been so skeptical of spray tans because I don't want to look like an orange oompa-loompa. It is the best thing ever. I have an amazing golden tan that looks completely natural. I have been multiple places to get my brows done and this is the absolute worst. A. I have called to make an appointment and it feels like every time I do there is always some one new, it seems like there is very high turnover. B. I can't get over how filthy the rooms are, it's such a TINY room. I removed my shoes and when I got back up to put them on the carpet was repulsive. C. The owners are pushy and fake, you don't have to try and have a conversation with me I come for Mackenzie, obviously not you. All in all, there are better sugaring places in the valley, I feel bad for the girls working there because it seems like such a hostile work environment. If I can cut the tension with a knife I can only imagine what they deal with. I give them one star because yes Mackenzie can do brows. But once she is gone, I I'll be moving on as well. read more

I had never tried sugaring before and decided to spend the extra money (versus waxing) to try it out. I signed up for a full face with brow shaping. The experience was okay, and my tech was extremely friendly, but I did not feel like it was any less painful than waxing. In addition, I have extremely light colored, fine hair on my face, and sugaring does not seem to work as well on it. When I got home I had to tweeze A LOT to clean up areas that the sugaring missed and it basically did nothing to the hair on my sideburn area despite the fact that it was long enough. Also, the website says 45 minutes, but I was done in less than 35. I think I will stick with waxing (or threading) in the future. read more

I went to sugar sugar from the recommendation of a friend. I booked online, it was super easy. Filled out all my paperwork before I even got there. I followed the "pre-tan" instructions and showed up at appointment time. I love that this is also a small local business. I always support local if I can. I loved reading the story of how sugar sugar came to be while I waited to be called back for my appt. I also got to meet both the owners while I was there, very nice people. Tarah did an amazing job on my spray tan! It had been about 8 years since I had gotten one, but I needed one to help even out some tan lines before my dads wedding, and to look nice and sun kissed in my dress. She was SO-OO friendly and wonderful and knowledgeable about the process and everything about the organic tan. I will never get any other type of spray tan ever again. This one is THE best! I really like this place. They focus on products without chemicals which are natural and good for the skin. I have been here several times and even driven from Tucson in the past to get hair removal done here. I have tried waxing, threading and sugaring, and sugaring is by far the least painful of the group. Sugaring only takes off dead skin, so it is less painful, and the ladies here do a precise and quick removal. I had one instance in the past when my skin had an irritation post-sugaring, and the owner took care of me!
