Sugar boy is a small unassuming donut shop from the outside but inside .... Still small unassuming. It ain't fancy but do them donuts make up for that. They have the standard donuts, and then the spesh ones like nutella and bisquella, which is basically biscoffy flavored nuttella. The spesh ones are instagram worthy of course. My favorite, spinach and cheese, not a donut I know. The Mrs loves the cinnamon glazed donut holes and they also have a bunch of different drinks which are good but they are kinda pricey for the amount you get. The lady who works here is always nice. I'm guessing she owns the place. She's usually flying solo so be patient and you will be rewarded with doughy goodness.

So not my favorite. It wasn't bad just not great. The oil seemed a little off on the lemon old fashion but J enjoyed the option. The fritter had nice apple pieces. The cronut was okay. A little dense vs flakey.

The Nutella filled is no longer the cinnamon sugar donut. :-(

I loved this place for their cinnamon sugar Nutella filled donut, but they changed it to glazed donut with Nutella. They said it was too hard to fill the sugar donuts, and glazed taste better. I'm not buying that, bc it worked fine for years. Please bring back the cinnamon sugar nutella filled donuts! The glazed does not taste better.

My new go to mom & pop donut shop. DonuI always prefer mom and pop donuts - they're inexpensive, fresh & made with love and care. As always, I got a glazed donut to test how oily, sweet, and crispy their donuts are - if you mess up a glaze donut, you'll never have my business again. We also grabbed a few kolaches, white sprinkle donut, cinnamon old fashioned, and a creme filled glazed. There is not one single thing wrong about any of these pastries. The perfect crunch (mind you we always stop by within an hour of opening time so of course the donuts are fresh), the softest inside, glaze is never overdone or too sweet, the donuts are light and fluffy and you're honestly not able to pinch more than an eighth of a teaspoon of grease out of these things. Definitely will be back to try all their other beautiful & yummy pastries!

I am a very lucky gal because this place is walking distance from my home. Needless to say this is our donut shop. You cannot just have one glazed donut. It's physically impossible! My girls love their donut holes. I LOVE the chocolate glazed donuts. Their kolaches are the bomb! The staff is always so friendly and they are always giving us free donuts holes when we go and buy way too many donuts and kolaches. It's the perfect spot to go in and out before going to work or better yet picking up a couple of dozens to take to work for your peeps!! Here is a picture of my daughter shoving half of a kolache. I didn't want to post her face which is why is zoomed to her mouth only . We went and had breakfast there because they also have good coffee for us to enjoy!

Donuts are ok. Try to buy early in the morning because they become dry and hard but afternoon. I had their cronut at 8 am and it was delicious but the one at 12 was extremely hard to chew. I recommend going to Jaram's in dallas for soft and fresh cronuts

I don't leave reviews often but. Everyone says that donut shops are a dime a dozen but that's not true about sugarboy. I've got five children and they love their donuts! We don't go anywhere else not even one or out of town on a trip because the kids complain that it's not their favorite donut shop! I've never been to a place that makes you feel more like family, they remember your face and they always ask how your kids are! I feel like every time I come there they take care of us and if you don't see something you are looking for most likely make it for you!! (If they can) And let's not Forget the insanely creative donuts they make I mean I'm blown away every time I go in with a new thing they make! Unicorn donuts, mermaid donuts, on the beach donuts, rainbows, and galaxy donuts! And for their happy birthday donuts they go out of the park with all their creations they can make just ask!

We found our regular local donut place! The owners were so nice and the girl at the front was also very sweet. Individual donut review: Bacon maple: so good! Exactly like you would imagine it to be. Heart: my 5 year old absolutely loved it! She also enjoyed the little candies Strawberry mochi: my 2 year old found it to difficult to chew. I've had mochi donuts before, and this one was a little too dense for me. Reesces: are you kidding me? So good! Exactly what you'd expect! Strawberry Nutella cronut: very good flavor wise but a bit dense if you're used to Paris Baguette. It was very "American" in the texture profile. Hot dog bun: friggin delicious and simple! Not too rich. Make sure you specify that you want the larger one. We got a small one and ended up squabbling over it. Donut holes: ok usually I wouldn't even bother reviewing these but they were really light and airy!! 100% recommend! Coffee: I got Hazelnut for my hubby. I got a small and he was sad I didn't get a medium. Get more for your hubby and don't forget to size up like I did . I'm definitely coming back!

Delicious and inexpensive, and a lovely neighborhood donut shop that's several steps above many of the close by smaller, local donut shops The owners were kind and helpful! They have wide savory options, and the donuts are delicious! Also, CRONUTS. They have some adorable, decorated donuts for kids, too To top it off, they have many drinks including coffee smoothies, flavored lattes, and more with boba or popping boba!! Picking up kolaches from here and having them for breakfast has become a Saturday morning ritual for me my boyfriend and our dog! They are delicious! I especially like that the bread doesnt get soggy even when warmed up. I've also sampled a few different items: * The danishes are good, not the best I've had but good. The cream cheese is the best in my opinion. The ones with fruit have a slight metal taste to me like they're from a can. * The "cronut" I've tried twice once filled with custard and once with cream cheese. Its kind of like a thicker, crispier donut. I didnt care much for the custard one as it was covered in raw sugar, which made it too sweet. The cream cheese one however was quite delicious and was dusted in powdered sugar instead. The cream cheese ones go pretty quickly so snatch it up if they have it! The coffee is so-so. I've ordered regular coffee and a cappuccino and neither were out of this world or very strong. *TIP* They have a machine were you can pour ready made cappuccinos like at a gas station but they also have an espresso machine behind the counter to make by hand. Just make sure to specify because they will assume you want the first option.

Great Kolaches, its the first place I've found cronuts in Dallas and they're delicious! I recommend the raspberry or custard cronut. The store itself has a very nice clean format and the staff are very nice! This is my daily go-to place for breakfast. read more

My son and I went in looking for their donut holes topped with chocolate and sprinkles. I asked if they had any left. She said they sold out earlier in the morning. I went in at 9am. I suppose the man in the back over heard and asked if I my son wanted the donuts holes topped with chocolate and sprinkles. I said yes! (all surprised) He ran to the back whopped some up for him. I wanted to wait to make a review of this donut shop after I've tried it a few times, to really get a feel of how this place is on an average day. Let me just say- I am absolutely impressed! Every single time I've walked in, I was greeted by the young lady who works in the mornings. It's such a great start to the day when people are pleasant, and the staff at this shop are just great. And don't even get me started on the donuts- they're so good, shit.. they're the best I've had in years. Not only are they so damn good, they're very well priced! I am so happy that this donut shop has opened, and I hope they do well. Check this place out, I know y'all will love it just as much as I do. read more

I really like this place! The simple donuts are very airy and moist. The "fancy" donuts are amazing! They have a delicious lemonade donut, and a flaky delicious cronut. They have a bunch of of awesome flavors like red velvet as well. There are drinks and breakfast foods besides donuts. Even more delightful is the owner! A very nice person. He was so nice to my little girl. She was in absolute heaven. I'm definitely coming back to this place. read more

I go out of my way to visit this tasty gem. Sugarboy's has the best variety of kolaches, donuts, and soooooo much more. Want a red velvet cake donut stuffed with sweet cream cheese? They've got it. Want a cronut stuffed with nutella and topped with fresh berries? They've got you covered! Muffins, danishes, breakfast sandwiches.... must I go on? 2nd and last time visiting. The 1st time was a few months ago and the young lady was super helpful. We talked about the donuts, what was what, etc. Well today was a DIFFERENT story. To be honest, I am mad at myself for even buying them because the lady (not sure if she was the owner) seemed more preoccupied with putting away stuff the other person was bringing from the back than customer service. Then she was not helpful when I questioned the types of donuts. I asked about one tray because it was a variety and she told me it was all different kinds. No crap, I already knew that! Definitely my last time going. Actually as I am writing them, I am going to delete a star because we work way too hard to be ok with bad customer service. I have enjoyed the donuts in the past but not worth it. read more

Sugarboy...where have you been all my life? Okay, so I'm a lil bit late to the game, but in my defense, they've only been open 10 months. If you're looking for fresh, delicious donuts & cronuts (WHAT!?!?!), then this lil joint right here is your spot. The donuts are legit, and I'm about to partake in my first ever cronut (a stuffed half-croissant/half-donut? I'm not even sure, but it looks ridiculous)....cannot wait! Seriously folks, in you're in the Prosper, Frisco, McKinney area, this place is worth the visit. Staff is friendly and attentive...but it's the donuts that will definitely make me a regular customer. They gave me an extra glaze donut (which I ate in the car...couldn't wait to get home), and the dang thing melted in my mouth, "Krispy Kreme" style. This one was better though, not nearly as sugary. Can't wait to go back next weekend! read more

Honestly impressed. Interior is simple with a touch of modern elements (such as electronic menu). Well down Korean owned donut shop, donuts have a bite to them and aren't overly sweet. I will say their open hours are ridiculous. I thought I worked long hours. This ranks as one of the top donut places I've had personally. read more

This family owned donut shop is right outside our neighborhood. Delicious donuts, cinnamon donut holes and kolaches. I haven't had the chance to try the drinks yet. Krispy Kreme might be losing some business since this place opened. read more

Eh. It might have been because I went at like 5:30 pm or something but these donuts are not that great. The people working in there were super friendly and even gave me an extra donut. But I've just had better. Maybe I'll go back and try the boba one day. read more

We love their donuts. The maple and bacon is the best. But the old-fashioned are in a class by themselves. They use on the regular donuts is pretty tasty tails. My favorite is also the maple bar and it was good. You would love their sausage dogs too. Definitely a step above your average donut shops. read more

Love this place! So much better quality than the one down in Coit Rd. All donuts have been super fresh, I especially love getting the cronut! It's fluffy and so good. Not too sweet, perfect. I'll keep on driving all the way to El Dorado until the other store in Fishtrap Rd opens! I hope their cronuts are just as good! read more

Occasionally they'll have gulab jaman as well which is absolutely killer, but sadly I have not seen it offered recently. I usually do take away as it's not a big establishment and they are often busy during weekends when I find myself here. That said, the inside is nice and they've kept it well maintained and their staff has always been great. I can't recommend them highly enough!

This location has consistently missed app orders. Today I waited 28 mins after it was supposed to be ready and when I finally inquired, they hadn't even started it. Annoying when you're on a schedule. The workers seem grouchy too. This is not standard for other locations. Edit- after I received my order, I was handed 3 melted smoothies and 2 cold rolls. Apparently my order was made but instead of placing to go orders in the cubbies, they were leaving them on the prep counter while they prioritize in person orders. Once I noticed the condition of my order I brought it to the attention of the cashier and asked for it to be remade. I also said I wanted a refund for my order as I had now wasted 40+mins waiting after it was scheduled to be ready (meaning my online order was placed over 1hr prior!) She called her manager on the phone, and instead of taking accountability, told him I was late picking up the order when I had been standing in the center of the lobby by the cubbies waiting the entire time. The manager refused. I asked to cancel the entire order after watching the 3 staff members cross contaminate everything they touched in the prep area with their gloves. I was able to order my exact order from another location 10mins away that was waiting in the cubbies when I arrived. Business is business. This franchise location is crap. Employees need to be trained. Managers need to have a physical presence rather than only reachable by phone. I will gladly support businesses who care about their customers experience rather than focusing on transactions only. I'm truly shocked that this location is so different than other locations. Corporate should check quality control.
