I'm loyally faithful to my local Brookhaven nail salon, so coming here to bring my niece for a manicure was a little uncomfortable at first. However, the whole experience at Sugarcoat Forum completely blew me away. Firstly, I love being able to book appointments online, and their website made it super easy to do so. Then on arrival, a warm welcome and quick tour of the polish colors and brands was really helpful. Continuing to feel good about cheating on my usual place, we were seated and quickly joined by two super friendly, kind nail techs who were excellent with the child and made the whole manicure experience so enjoyable. I made an appointment online and showed up 30 minutes early and was immediately seated. (i love that) The vibe is calm and the atmosphere is beautiful! Very clean, modern, and minimalistic which I also love. I asked for a fiji pedicure and Miss Phuong absolutely did her thing. She shaped my nails like I requested, did a callous remover, sugar scrub, leg and foot mask, hot stone massage, and another massage for good measure. I'm typing this review right before my next Sugarcoat appointment! After being a client of nearby salon for about ten years, I decided to make a change after some employee turnover. I opted to give Sugarcoat a try due to their convenient location. I am so glad I did! I've had wonderful experiences at Sugarcoat. It is easy to make an appointment, and I have never had to wait more than a couple of minutes after arrival to be seated, even on weekends. Usually, by the time I've picked my color, they are ready for me. Parking is a breeze. And I am usually in and out in about an hour. Prices are comparable to others I have seen in the area. And they have a punch card/rewards program. Every visit for me is SNS nails and a basic pedicure. And I have always been very pleased with both. I have never requested to work with a specific person, and every technician I've seen has been fantastic. Great quality and service. Everyone is welcoming and greets with a smile. My nails look and feel great. I never experience any breakage. Looks like I've found a new spot! read more

Overall I have great experiences here but recently one of my sns nails chipped off within the 7 day window. I ran by when I had a babysitter for my children to get it fixed and they couldn't squeeze me in for one (pinky) nail fix. Didn't even ask if I could wait for even a little. My review is specific to a nail technician named Sarah. I made an appointment specifically with Sarah because I "thought" that she was amazing from my previous experience with her. The appointment was for SNS and a pedicure. Within two days of getting my SNS my nails began to chip. Around day three I had a cracked nail and a nail that was snagging my hair because it was lifting. I wasn't sure why this was happening and if this was normal. I was okay with one or even two nails but when I had a problem with 80% of them. I reached out to management and sent photos. The manager handled the issue professionally. Which I appreciate. Never did I think that the reason for my nails looking bad within days was because of my technician. I called a couple of weeks later to make an appointment with Sarah and was told that she no longer wanted to do my nails. This is where the one star review comes in at. I found it offensive and rude that she didn't want to do my nails. When truly, if any one should have been upset about my nails it should have been me!!! Fast forward I notice that the skin on my feet felt very bad like they were cracked. When I actually looked at them they were horrible. My biggest regret is tipping her and that's based on her not wanting to do my nails. Interesting you mess up my nails and get mad at me. The way that she handled this displays unprofessionalism, lack of accountability, and guilt in my opinion. read more

I took a break from the nail salon because i developed an allergy to acrylic, gels, etc. this was my first time getting a mani/pedi in several months. I did my best keep up with things on my own but as you can imagine, I required heavy work. I really enjoyed my experience here. My nails looked 10x better when I left. Then had an issue when I asked for 3 coats bc the color was so light. She insisted 2. I told her 3. Beyond disappointed. I drove 30 minutes to come and get my nails done for my wedding. Was asked what I wanted and proceeded to wait got my service. I have a certified service animal. I had a woman ask to pet my dog and I immediately told her no. This drew attention and she questioned me on the reason but to be quite honest I shouldn't have to explain myself. I was quickly told that dogs were not permitted and asked to leave. Staff cannot ask about the person's disability, require medical documentation, require a special identification card or training documentation for the dog, or ask that the dog demonstrate its ability to perform the work or task," according to the ADA This business has not only lost a customer but truly does not understand ada protocol. This is a very long overdue review. Two years ago I made an appt for the first time, new to the area and very particular about my nails I was skeptical. This was the best surprise ever! The salon was beautiful, the cleanliness was unbelievable AND I found Sara! The entire staff has taken care of me for different services but I'm a Sara regular. I was gifted a gift card here that I've been trying to use for a year. I have tried to go to this location multiple times - all different times of the day and week, and they never have any availability to take any walk-ins. Tonight the salon had only 4 people in chairs, and had one technician sitting in the front (could have been waiting for an appt). The construction is a nightmare so I thought for sure tonight would have been my night! I also heard them say on the phone that not all of their techs know SNS, so they had to deny an appt time or make them change to gel. Seriously don't recommend!! This was my last chance trying them. I liked this salon, and then things went down hill. I've gone to the same tech and twice after making a confirmed appointment with her, it's gotten switched to another tech. The salon manager never let me know in advance, so I could reschedule with my preferred tech. Both times I've Ive been disappointed in the thick SNS mani I've received from the other techs. The last visit was a few days ago and I've had one SNS pop off and a chip on another. A couple more are lifting from the nail bed. I won't be back. read more

Came here for the first time and wanted to get designs on my nails and the nail tech told me that she couldn't do it but she'll see if anyone else can so i wait and then someone tells me that they can do the designs on only two nails and not all nails because if they did all nails then it would take hours keep in mind the designs were just stars that's it so i asked them how much it'll be and they said 100 and i was shocked because at my other nail salon i got charged the same but for the whole design so then i asked if i can just get a simple full set and and one color only and they told me it'll be about 85 dollars so i just decided to leave so i basically wasted my time going there read more

Got a pedicure and SNS manicure on a Friday. Pedicure still looks great (it hasn't been 2 weeks yet). However, the SNS not so much. 3 days after one nail chipped, went back and had it fixed, next day 2 more nails chipped but I was leaving town for a family event and couldn't get it fixed. Then one of the nails popped off the day after that. This all happened within 1 week of my SNS. Needless to say I will never go back. read more
