Wow- sugaring is awesome! I just recently did the switch from waxing to sugaring... and ladies, it IS worth it! I get the Brazilian. It actually didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. With any hair removal, of course there is pain, but after the first time, it's such a breeze. I wouldn't even say that it was super painful, it's just a different kind of pain that most women are not used to. I've gone there three times so far, and can already tell the difference with my hair down there. I am really prone to ingrown hairs and have grown soo tired of going to European wax center and leaving in pain from the wax grabbing onto my dry skin. I was so desperate that I left EWC with still a few waxes left on my wax pass... I don't think I'll ever go back to waxing. For the same price (even cheaper with a membership), it's 100% worth it to take the plunge for sugaring. Also, not much of a commitment to the membership as EWC is needed. The beginning deal is awesome btw! 2 for $49 is a fantastic deal... not to mention, they don't sell you on all these crap products like EWC does or any other waxing place. Another thing that I love about sugaring is how fast it is. Waxing appointments would be a grueling 30-40 minutes of pure pain for me. My appointments here last up to 15 minutes, if that. They go by so quickly that I don't even realize it's over. The girls here are great and super knowledgeable. They also don't seem like they hate their lives (much like the ones at EWC) which is super refreshing. Parking can be a bit difficult (at the time of day that I go aka Sundays, late mornings) on Ventura... but they offer FREE valet at this location. Don't stress for parking and just do the valet. The only downside is that they don't have a location near me. I live in Pasadena and luckily for me, my boyfriend lives just down the street in Sherman Oaks. I hope they expand! Take the plunge for sugaring if you're on the fence! After my second appointment, I decided to sign up for the membership. read more

I hate giving bad reviews, but this place gave me terrible ingrown hairs, and told me to put tea tree oil to prevent ingrowns. I bought tea tree oil and applied it the Brazilian I got, and it burned. My lip hair grew extremely fast and I had to pop 3 painful ingrown hairs out. The waxer was okay, she did it super quick and left spots on my lips. I thought sugaring was going to be better since it's natural and prevents ingrown hairs.... Oh boy I was wrong! read more

This place is great! Ever since I moved back from San Diego, I was looking for a new place to get my sugaring done, and I settled on this one based on yelp. Everyone has been super sweet and professional. First visit I was super late mostly because I had forgotten how parking is like on Ventura Blvd, and just traffic in general on Ventura, so I didn't factor that in when I drove over. They were super understanding about it and had no issues with my appointment. If this is your first time, don't make the same mistake I did and try to park in the tiny lot where Pressed Juicery is because then you'll realize you can't park there and depending on the time of day, it'll take forever for you to get back on to the street. There's complimentary valet parking right between the building and Le Pain Quotidien. Also, only credit or debit here, but make sure to have some cash for tips for whoever is sugaring or bronzing you up and some cash to tip the valet (it is complimentary, but you'd probably be paying more using a street meter than the couple of bucks you'd give the valet guys). read more

I went in May 1st and as ALWAYS I am pleased. First I'll start off by commenting on how easy it is to book online! How convenient and the text reminder is perfect. Second, the facility is always clean and inviting. I had Cat help me and she was the sweetest! Very kind and gentle, lol considering. I got my armpits sugared for the first time and man was it painful, but she eased my mind and pain. Lastly, the sugaring itself is amazing! If you're prone to red bumps like me and have super sensitive skin this is the place to get your hair removed. After a couple visits the hair grows in fine and starts to grow less and less. It is life changing. I'll never go back to waxing nor will I ever use a razor on my skin. Oh, one last thing, the combination of oils they use to treat the skins irritation after helps tremendously. I've tried several sugaring places and waxing as well... this was by far the quickest Brazilian I've ever had in my life. The pain was HORRID but it literally lasted 5 minutes. Maybe 7. Lauren was great, she got that shit done. The aura is super relaxing and they have a super cute beachy theme going on. They don't take cash and parking may be a struggle, depending on what time of day you go. Definitely worth a try! It's 2 Brazilians for $49! read more

Best sugaring and tan I've had. Service was great and quality was equally as impressive. Only downfall is parking is hard, but worth it.
