This is an updated review for this business. After my last review, the business reached out to me to address my complaints. This is not a storefront business; the owner bakes in her home. She also explained the process; customers call in orders and the business will deliver to the customer. I was asked to reconsider my review; so I made an order for one dozen cupcakes. There were several specificities to my order: cream cheese icing, milk chocolate icing with vanilla and chocolate cupcakes. Delivery time was today at 3:00 pm. Delivery time was almost exact. The cupcakes were, well - magnificent barely begins to describe! The cream cheese icing was something of which dreams are made and combined with the both cupcake flavors beautifully. The milk chocolate icing was perfect and, while I am not really a chocolate person, my husband is and he loved these chocolate cupcakes! So did I. This is now my go-to bakery - forget Crave; forget Ooh-La La; forget the grocery stores. My business belongs to Sugarfoot Cupcakes. I have ordered from Sugarfoot's before but today's order will likely be my last. The baker tried to argued with me that my order was not possible (despite being on their website) and they did not have an obligation to reach out to the customer to notify them. When I asked for an alternative she told that the cake was done and she would not change it. I told her I was not trying to argue with her but I needed to find a resolution so that my daughter's cake meet her expectations for her 18th birthday party. She told me the best she would do it cancel the order and give me a store credit. This is not a reasonable accommodation since we are having a party TODAY, all I wanted was for the cake to match with the image my daughter had for her cake and what I ordered. But this baker was not willing to do anything but yell at me. I was in tears when I hung up because this baker ruined my daughter's party and had zero customer service skills!! read more

UPDATE - I have to update my review. I still stand by my assessment that the cupcakes are delicious, but wish I had read the reviews regarding cake orders. We ordered a 2 tier cake for my sister in laws 30th birthday. A big deal and big party. Top tier was a red velvet and the bottom was an almond cake. The almond cake was awful. Very dry; almost as if an ingredient had been left out. We literally took one cut of the cake and tossed the rest in the trash. It was inedible. As it was my contribution to the party, I was, to put it frankly, embarrassed to have brought this after raving how good it was. I emailed the baker and got absolutely no response after corresponding with her there on many, many occasions. No response is absolutely unacceptable. Not even an apology after I let her know we could discuss what happened. I guess stick to cupcakes if you want to patronize them? I will not be using them again for cupcakes or anything else. Living 5 hours away from Houston, it was very difficult finding a bakery that would deliver cupcakes (especially at a reasonable price) to my friend that just had surgery. I found Sugarfoot's Bakery online and the cupcakes were reasonably priced and much cheaper than other bakeries in the area. I was able to call and order the cupcakes the day before and they even delivered them on Sunday! The lady who took my order was super nice and helpful! I was kept up-to-date about the delivery through texts and they were delivered right to my friend's apartment door. The lady even told her to get well soon when she dropped off the cupcakes. Such a cute, comforting and homey feel. It's a little piece of the Heights in Spring. The owners are so welcoming and make sure that you are completely satisfied! Every single one of their desserts taste so fresh and perfect. They even grow grapefruits, oranges and lemons in their backyard and use them in their baking! How much more fresh can you get! I just moved to the neighborhood and saw this cute shop & wanted to order cupcakes for coworkers for valentines. I was super excited that they let me mix a keto cupcake in with the rest of my regular order. I also bought a red velvet to take home that night. I was a little disappointed with how dry the red velvet was since its my favorite. When I got my order I was again disappointed with how dry the red velvet cupcake was...but the chocolate, strawberry & vanilla cupcakes were a hit with my friends. I had a dozen assorted cupcakes delivered over 30 min away from their location. It was packaged in a cooler the entire way to my office. It was very nice to get the box nice and cool like I just pulled it out the fridge. And the cupcakes were very good.
