Best sugaring experience I've had by far, Alecia is wonderful! I honestly hate getting brazilians and only get them if I'm going on vacation where I plan to be in a bikini, otherwise it's just not worth the pain for me. I don't know what she does but this was not like any sugaring I've done before, it didn't hurt at all! I'm actually considering going back regularly even if I don't plan to be in a bikini. My skin is so soft and smooth and I didn't get any ingrowns. In the three years I've lived here, I've gone to Alecia every month for almost a year and a half, and my only regret is that I didn't find them sooner! Alecia is a real gem and you're literally doing yourself a favor to have the opportunity to learn more about keeping your skin healthy, and from her overall life wisdom! As a woman of color, it really made a difference to have someone that is really knowledgeable on how my hair works to be the person to take it through the refining process through each season and growth stage of my hair. My beef with sugaring LA is the change in policy and price increases. First off, $69 Is nuts for a Brazilian but I went because I liked Alecia so much. At first, the rebook discount was given if you came back within 6 weeks. Then it was changed to 5 weeks but they push you to just come back after 4. Then the prices went up.. then they added on the health tax, which typically I would support but I'm already paying over $60 for a 10 minute service!! In the end it was just too much. I couldn't justify spending that much money. I wish they had kept the original deal and price for those of us who had been going for years. I miss Alecia and still think she's the best. read more

The Sugaring is so fast here. The products and tools are very clean and refers to products that are organic or very suited for all sensitive skins like myself. I came here from a referral after going to an inexpensive competitor place that end up giving me a bad rash. I thought I was allergic to sugaring but it was just the other business' product. I continue to go here with no rashes and Alecia gives exceptional customer service. Parking is free with a validation. I found out about Sugaring LA via Groupon. I should have gotten two Brazilians instead of one. I have been getting waxed, but I find that the wax (or whatever is in it) irritates my skin. Almost immediately. I've even had my skin rip and bleed. So I was looking for something that didn't leave me miserable weeks after the wax. Alecia was very nice and knowledgable. She really puts you at ease and makes you feel comfortable. The environment was very clean and the ambience was great. The setup is super professional and my skin feels really good. Way less painful than wax. It may cost more, but I think it's totally worth it. It's not a down and dirty wax job, it's more of an experience, with post care instructions and that personal touch.
