Many people enjoy the interaction that we engage in at the post office, the gas station, the barber shop, the butcher, the fruit store, etc. Here there seems to be a very definite history of the great staff members moving on, sometimes with little or no notice, and it has impacted the comfort level for me, and for many of the people who also frequented the store. The product has been good, at times excellent, but the overall experience has been greatly diminished by some real nice people who were employed there leaving. I don't feel the same joy supporting a business that seems to have a pattern of upsetting what appears to be excellent employees, and this is by no means a negative statement on the new people who come in to replace the one's who leave. I sure the new ones are very nice too. It all just creates this sense of sadness and negativity about and towards the ownership and overall establishment. I guess in life some of us reach an age, or a point, where what we put in our body has to do with more than the food itself. It connects to the vibe, the humanity factor, the trust, etc. I have stopped going to Local 130 after the last person left, almost without exception. And I am a customer who was there a minimum of once a week for several years.

It's a sad situation but I'm glad this store is educating its visitors this way. I bought a kaleidoscope and some mini pinball machines.

One reviewer claimed they are purveyors of "anti-white, communist propaganda" based on some popular bestselling books he saw in the front window. But all I saw when I went there were Hoda Kotb books. And I don't believe Hoda to be anti-white or communist. If he bothered to go inside he would have noticed that books make only a fraction of Comfort Zone's merchandise. Most of the store is stocked with lovely-smelling soaps, candles, beauty products, etc., not to mention jewelry & souvenir shirts. Comfort Zone is a cute, quaint, local shop that sells a wide variety of quality goods. The staff is super friendly. I e-mailed them to see if they had a specific apron in stock, which they did. I got a prompt callback saying they were holding it for me at the store. I'll definitely be back. I encourage you to visit. And if you don't like the books on display in their window (whether it be Hoda Kotb, Bob Woodward or Robin DiAngelo, just keep walking.

I added oil and garlic and some ricotta. I think adding the oil and garlic kind of hurt my overall flavor and also pushed a lot of stuff to the bottom but it was solid. Brother got chicken Alfredo. It worked pretty well. He added broccoli and oil and garlic. Again solid flavor but undercooked pasta. It seems like not much pasta but ends up being pretty filling. Nothing special with the flavor. Staff was nice and explained things. Price was pretty crazy. Spaghetti and meatballs without adding anything cost $13.50. Additions cost $2-3 each. Minimal seating but it's a nice little joint.

The meal tasted off, and within hours of eating there, I experienced severe gastrointestinal symptoms, including explosive diarrhea. Based on my experience, I will not be returning. What makes this even more frustrating is that I expected much better given the reputation of the restaurant. Food safety should never be something customers have to question. I hope management takes customer concerns seriously, reviews their food handling practices, and investigates whether there are any issues that need to be addressed. I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my experience.
