We were visiting Monmouth University for a college store, and I looked up the best sandwiches in…read morethe area and I came across the The Speakeatery. My son and I both had their cheesesteak with peppers. Not your typical Philly cheesesteak (rib eye) but did not matter because their choice of meat cheese peppers and roll were phenomenal. Highly recommend if you're in Asbury Park area. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant had a great vibe. THE OL' STEAK SANG-GWEECH Our Cheesesteak Sandwich. Absolutely NO brotherly love is put into this mass of meat and cheese. Our house sliced top round seasoned to perfection with hot cherry peppers, red onion and smothered in american cheese served on an extra soft pan baked hero

I've been to The Speakeatery a few times with friends and family while hanging out at the beach for…read morethe day. The burgers are great, and the last time I tried their cheesesteak which normally comes with cherry peppers and red onion. I asked for it plain, and it was super delicious. Portion sizes are solid, and prices are reasonable considering the area. We actually ended up here because Pasta Volo -- one of my favorite spots in Asbury Park -- was closed that day. The Speakeatery made for a great backup. You order at the counter, and the service is decent. The space is long and narrow with some stool seating up front and more table and chair seating towards the back. The grill and kitchen are situated in the middle of the restaurant. The place only has indoor seating, which fits the speakeasy vibe nicely. Overall, I'd recommend The Speakeatery for breakfast or lunch when you're visiting Asbury Park for the day.

It's a sad situation but I'm glad this store is educating its visitors this way. I bought a kaleidoscope and some mini pinball machines.

One reviewer claimed they are purveyors of "anti-white, communist propaganda" based on some popular bestselling books he saw in the front window. But all I saw when I went there were Hoda Kotb books. And I don't believe Hoda to be anti-white or communist. If he bothered to go inside he would have noticed that books make only a fraction of Comfort Zone's merchandise. Most of the store is stocked with lovely-smelling soaps, candles, beauty products, etc., not to mention jewelry & souvenir shirts. Comfort Zone is a cute, quaint, local shop that sells a wide variety of quality goods. The staff is super friendly. I e-mailed them to see if they had a specific apron in stock, which they did. I got a prompt callback saying they were holding it for me at the store. I'll definitely be back. I encourage you to visit. And if you don't like the books on display in their window (whether it be Hoda Kotb, Bob Woodward or Robin DiAngelo, just keep walking.
